Flat-slab structural systems have large applicability due to their functional and economic advantages. Flat plate slabs exhibit higher stress at the column connection and are most likely to fail due to punching shear rather than flexural failure. To avoid shear failure, realistic analytical or experimental studies must investigate parameters influencing the punching strength. Flat plates were subsequently developed, with no drops and no column capitals and due to the cheaper formwork required, they were popular for residential and office buildings. The computer program ETABS is used to model columns and slabs as frames respectively. The present analytical study investigates the influence of some of the parameters governing the behaviour of connections under punching shear: concrete strength, column aspect ratio, slab thickness, and gravity loading. Parametric studies on depth-to-span ratio & column aspect ratio have been carried out using equivalent static analysis to investigate the influence of these parameters on punching shear capacity of the column connections, which proved to be the governing criteria to prescribe drift limits for flat plate systems in seismic zones

We devised a single phase series active power filter in this study to reduce harmonics in grids with non-linear loads and power electronic equipment. Active power filters (APFs) can compensate for power quality issues because they can dynamically vary their modes of operation in response to changes in load or in the power system. The series active power filter was designed specifically to address issues with the power system waveform and voltage amplitude among this solution. The series active power filter has not been widely used despite its ability to mitigate voltage sag, voltage swell, voltage harmonics, and voltage imbalance in three phase systems. The lack of interest in this equipment can be somewhat explained by the SeAPF conventional topology's limitations, as well as its high price. The regulated algorithm of a single phase SeAPF that is connected directly to the power grid without the usage of external power sources is discussed in this work. In the proposed configuration, the active power filter controller is further updated with a Fuzzy interface system with 49 rule basis, which would replace the old PI controller.

Software Defined Radio (SDR) is sometimes radio has been the aim of many radio developments. The military and civilian radio applications digital radios are used instead of analog radios. SDR is also defined as "Radio in which some or all the physical layer functions are software defined". Software defined radio plays a major solution for the need for flexibility, upgradability, and the problems of implementing multiple radio standards alternatively and even running several services in parallel. BPSK and QPSK technique is used in carrier synchronization by software defined radio. The performance of the system is investigated by applying Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) and Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation techniques and Frequency Offset (FO) is observed by using the constellation diagram. Fine frequency correction technique is used for the reduction of frequency offset and better performance.

Arbitration is a form of Alternate Dispute Resolution, where parties resolve their disputes outside the vicinity of the courts i.e. the dispute is then decided by a third party who is known as an arbitrator. Parties have the discretion on choosing an arbitrator mutually, and if the parties are not able to appoint an arbitrator, then the courts have the power to appoint an arbitrator in such cases. In this paper we will look into the Role of Judiciary in Arbitration

Electronic health records (EHRs) are only handled by hospitals and not patients, rendering medical advice in several hospitals more difficult. Patients ought to rely on their own healthcare information and restore their own patient records control. The exponential advancement of blockchain technologies facilitates wellness for the General population, medical records and patient knowledge included. This technology provides treatment professionals and websites patients with detailed and unchanging details and access to EHRs free of charge. In this article, we introduce an attribute-based signature scheme with several authorities to ensure that the blockchain-encapsulated EHRs are legitimate, where a patient endorses an attribute message and does not share details other than the proof he has attested to them. In addition, many authorities may manufacture and spread public / private keys of a patient without a trustworthy single or central mechanism, thereby avoiding the issue of escrow and adhering to the blockchain distributed data management mode. By swapping the hidden pseudorandom feature seeds between the authorities, the protocol resists N-1 deceptive authorities to attack conspiracies. We also formally show that this attribute-based signature approach is protected in a random oracle paradigm by imperfection and absolute privacy in the presumptions of bilinear Diffie-Hellman. The association indicates the effectiveness and properties of the methods proposed in other studies.

Distribution static compensator is used to compensate the source currents which are affected by the harmonics due to unbalanced and non-linear loads. Here a PV based inverter is used as a shunt active power filter to mitigate the current harmonics. The theory of synchronous reference frame is used to generate the three phase reference currents. Hysteresis current controller (HCC) is used to generate the switching pulses for the gate drives of the grid interfacing inverter. The inverter act as a shunt active power filters to inject the compensated current to the system. The total harmonic Distortion (THDs) of the source currents are reduced by using shunt active power filter (APF). The THDs of the distribution system with and without APF are compared. The whole work is been done in MA TLAB/SIMULINK To repay the reactive power misfortunes in the transmission line and any place in the electrical influence framework, we have completed the writing survey of the different papers and embraced the distinctive procedures to defeat this issue. We have utilized the shunt and series arrangement strategies, in which the compensator like capacitor will be given in parallel and in series to the inductive load. Since there is dependably a voltage and current transient upon the changing the capacitor steps. Henceforth we adopted the FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) gadgets to beat the responsive force remuneration issue. The studies for the different FACTS gadgets were completed and we discovered the STATCOMs (Static Synchronous Compensators) is the present day and the most productive approach to conquer the responsive force pay. This study investigated the application of forensic accounting techniques in detection of financial statement fraud in large scale business organizations in Nigeria. Two research questions guided the study and two null hypotheses were tested. Related literature pertinent to the study was reviewed which exposed the need for the study. Descriptive survey research design was adopted and a population of 172 management team of selected large scale business organizations in Anambra State. The entire population was studied without sampling because the size was manageable. Primary data was generated directly from the management team of selected large scale business organizations in Anambra State using a structured personal questionnaire. To ascertain the validity of the instrument for the study, the draft questionnaire was given to two experts in the field for face and content validation. The application of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21 using Cronbach Alpha reliability was used. The analysis test yielded coefficients of 0.88 and 0.90 with an overall score of 0.89 for internal consistency which was deemed reliable for the study. The data collected from the study were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions and one sample t-test used to test the null hypotheses. The results showed that the management team highly applied net worth technique and ratio analysis technique in detection of financial statement fraud in large scale business organizations in Anambra State. The results also showed that the application of net worth and ratio analysis techniques has significant effect on detection of financial statement fraud in large scale business organization in Anambra State Nigeria. Based on the findings, the researcher recommended, among others, that large scale business organizations should adopt the most effective mechanisms in their fraud detection drives. This is because studies have shown that current fraud detection mechanisms commonly used are perceived as the least effective in combating fraud menace.

Leaf spots can be indicative of crop diseases, where leaf batches (spots) are usually examined and subjected to expert opinion. In our proposed system, we are going to develop an integrated image processing system to help automated inspection of these leaf batches and helps identify the disease type. Conventional Expert systems mainly those which used to diagnose the disease in agriculture domain depends only on textual input. Usually abnormalities for a given crop are manifested as symptoms on various plant parts. To enable an expert system to produce correct results, end user must be capable of mapping what they see in a form of abnormal symptoms to answer to questions asked by that expert system. This mapping may be inconsistent if a full understanding of the abnormalities does not exist. The proposed system consists of four stages; the first is the enhancement, which includes HIS transformation, histogram analysis, and intensity adjustment. The second stage is segmentation, which includes adaptation of fuzzy c-means algorithm. Feature extraction is the third stage, which deals with three features, namely color size and shape of spot. The fourth stage is classification, which comprises Leaf disease.
