The prime purpose of the paper was to explore the status of Utilization of Community Resources in the teaching of sociology at pre- university level in Bagalkote district. To find out the The Utilization of Community Resources in the teaching of sociology at pre- university level a Questionnaire was developed by researcher and administered. Taking cognizance of the nature of sample, Incidental sampling technique? was used. On the other hand, sample was Incidental and on the other hand it was purposive as it served the purpose of the study. Government, Aided and unaided pre- university colleges were considered for data collection. Even though all educationists have stressed the need for revitalizing the teaching of sociology, in actual practice, it is found that there are hardly any attempts by the sociology lecturers in this context, by linking college and community. It also helps the lecturers to Utilize Community Resources in sociology teaching at pre- university level and find out their effect on students learning.

This study investigates the executive functions of adolescent girls, evaluated by Behaviour Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Self Report Version (BRIEF-SR), and the effect of yogic intervention of the adolescent girls executive function skills. We evaluated 50 adolescent girls, between the ages of 12 and 15 years, with control diagnosed of any physical health disorders or neurological disorders, any medication or treatment which alters the functions of the nervous system. Results of the paired-samples t-test show that mean Global Executive Composite (GEC) differs before Yogic Intervention (M = 127.94, SD = 11.75) and after yogic intervention (M 95.58, SD = 12.15) at the .05 level of significance (t = 23.91, df = 49, n = 50, p< .01, 95% CI for mean difference 29.64 to 35.08, r = .68). On average Global Executive Composite (GEC) was about 5.44 points lower after yogic intervention. It shows that Yogic intervention helps adolescent girls in removing of obstacles that hamper the executive functioning of our systems and improves the perspective of their life. These results add to prior research findings which indicated that diverse activities have been shown to improve girls executive functions like computerized training, aerobics, martial arts, and school curricula. In the sequence we found yogic intervention programme contributes to the development of adolescents and additionally support the hypothesis that yogic intervention programme plays a significant role in developing executive functioning skills.

Shielding is a most effective Electromagnetic protection method. Shielding Effectiveness(SE) is the degree of isolation provided by a shield from electromagnetic radiations. When the distance between the radiation source and the shield is more than ?/2? it is considered as in the far field shielding region and if less, it is in the near field shielding region. Electromagnetic plane wave theory is applicable in the far field and the theory of dipoles is applied in the near field. Metals are good conductors which can absorb, reflect and transmit electromagnetic interferences. All metals and metallic compounds including brass, copper, aluminium, silver, steel etc are used for quality shielding materials. Plastics embedded with thin metal foils are also used. The aim of the study is to investigate the shielding effectiveness of different materials which are easily available and affordable to the common public. The purpose is to provide suitable roofing solutions to those forced to live near the cell towers. Our experiments found the materials like Gi and Aluminium sheets are easily available and demand lower price, found comparatively better performed when properly grounded. Concretes with a thin Aluminium mesh of 10cm x 10cm length and breadth attached as a top layer will give enough protection and safe guard the residents when properly grounded.

Abstract: At the center of graph mining lies free extension of bases where a base or subgraph autonomously develops into various bigger bases in every cycle. Such a free development, perpetually, prompts the age of copies. Within the sight of chart segments, copies are created both inside and across allotments. Wiping out these copies brings about age and capacity cost as well as extra calculation for its end. Essential point is to plan methods to decrease creating copy foundations as we show that they can't be dispensed with. Proposed philosophy presents three requirement based enhancement strategies, each essentially improving the general mining cost by diminishing the quantity of copies produced. These options give adaptability to pick the correct procedure dependent on chart properties. Proposed philosophy tests show noteworthy advantages of these imperatives regarding capacity, calculation, and correspondence cost (explicit to divided methodologies) across graphs with differed qualities.

Folklore of a tribe is formed with the various social beliefs they accumulate throughout the ages. Although these beliefs are not scientifically proven truths, still all these have deep impact upon the cultural life of a tribe. Assam is an agriculture based state where various tribes live harmoniously. They live with some social beliefs most of which are agriculture centered. Those God fearing people do their agricultural activities using their traditional tools and for agriculture they are fully dependent on nature. Thus they form many social beliefs and perform various rituals for the well being of their paddy fields and crops. This research paper puts forward a study of those agriculture related beliefs in the social life of Assam.

Abstract Though Caralluma dalzielii N.E Br (Asclepiadaceae) is widely used traditionally for treating nervous system disorders, there is an absence of scientific reports about its pharmacological effect against depression. In this work, the potential antidepressant effects of the methanol extract of the aerial parts of Caralluma dalzielii were evaluated in mice using behavioral models (tail suspension and forced swimming tests) sensitive to clinically effective antidepressant agents. The extract at the doses of 10, 20 and 40 mg/kg body weight (intraperitonially) was able to significantly (p< 0.05) decrease the immobility time of mice in a non-dose dependent and dose dependent manner when subjected to both tail suspension and forced swimming tests respectively and the effects were comparable to the effect produced by the standard drug imipramine (10mg/kg). It can be concluded that the present work suggested that methanol extract of the aerial parts of Caralluma dalzielii possessed potential antidepressant activity which can be explored for use clinically in the treatment of patients with depressive disorders

Poly (2-methoxy-5-(2'-ethylexyloxy)-1,4-phenylene vinylene) (MEH-PPV) is the most important polymeric material, which can be used to make commercially stable light-emitting devices (LEDs) in the red-orange region. In the present work, we have improved the performance of simple polymer light-emitting devices (PLEDs) based on MEH-PPV. We experimentally investigated the performance of different LEDs viz. ITO/MEH-PPV/Al, ITO/ MEH-PPV/Al and ITO/MEH-PPV/Alq3/Al and found that the performance of monolayer PLEDs can be improved by the use of bilayer PLED and also by improving the cathode contact so that it can inject a large number of electrons into poor hole conducting polymers.
