Abstract: The Investigators have conducted a study on students' attitudes towards continuous and comprehensive evaluation. Quantitative survey methods were followed for the present study. Samples of 20 secondary schools have been randomly selected from Nadia district of West Bengal. Students of class IX of different secondary schools were given two scales one was questionnaire on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and another Socio-Economic Status scale prepared by investigator. In this study, data was analyzed using quantitative data analysis techniques. It was found that although most of the students said that they were aware of CCE, the way they responded to the items showed that they were not very aware of CCE. Although there are many reasons behind this; such reluctance to study, various family problems is a big reason why CCE project is not implemented properly.

The prison mirrors the activity of the modern state, in a heightened atmosphere of punitive loathing. It is the individual self that is the object of the special knowledge, the laborious rules and networks of power within prison. The regulatory apparatus of the modern prison does not remain external to individuals: they cannot remain untouched by it. It enters into and shapes their subjectivity, and this profound power is what is absolutely intrinsic about prisons. The paper applies theory of absurdism to Camus' text 'The Stranger'.

We frequently create our living areas in ways that both harm the environment and distance ourselves from the natural world. The recent trend in green building has reduced the built environment's environmental impact, but it hasn't done much to restore our connection to nature, the crucial component of sustainable development. The time calls for a design strategy that integrates buildings with nature, creating spaces where people feel better and function more effectively. The principles of "biophilic design" show how to build productive and healthful environments for contemporary people. Buildings that link people to nature can be found. hospitals where patients recover more quickly, schools where students do better on tests, workplaces where employees are more productive, and neighborhoods where people are happier. Biophilic design reveals why the existence of nature in our daily lives is central to our existence and what we can do to reverse the decline over the centuries. This study aims to understand how the built environment can connect people with nature, and provide a positive physical and psychological experience by exploring the role of biophilic design.

Reproductive rights are integral component of right to life with dignity. It is a part of constitutional morality to protect and safeguard same, while acknowledging the autonomy and choices of person in concern. Moreover, it is philosophically proven fact human agent is rational agent (Kant) and therefore has autonomy to decide and consent in a free manner. The idea of surrogacy is based on this very principle, whereby rights are provided to individual to make her choices independently. The ongoing debates about legalizing commercial surrogacy in India are surrounded with the different moral and ethical questions? It is opening of the pandora box that has various complex questions to address. One such question is related to rights of the newly born disabled child. There are many instances throughout the world, where commissioning parents have refused to take the disabled baby. One such example is from Ukraine, where after knowing the mental and physical disability of their three-month surrogate child, American parents have abandoned her. The main reason of these instances is the lack of understanding about disability as diversity. This is primary because of the labeling and stereotypes of society and state. There is to have inclusive dialogue while discussing about laws and policies related to surrogacy. Moreover, at international level, UNCRPD provide a platform for centrally deliberating about the issues related to disability.

Among several renewable energy resources, Solar PV is the one of the most essential and sustainable resources. Photovoltaic system is the direct conversion of sunlight to electricity. This work focuses on the cost analysis and design of a stand-alone PV system to be set up in a rural village having a total load of 200kw. For that a rural area near Guwahati city namely Deepor Beel has been chosen in Chakardeo village. For this analysis HOMER PRO platform has been used. This system consists of an AC bus, a DC bus, both are interlinked by a converter. The PV system/array, battery backup and the load are on the DC bus. As a backup, a diesel generator is connected on the AC bus. The electrical energy produced from the PV system is 108,377 kWh/yr and a 22.8% of excess energy remained and the payback period has been found to be 1.7 yrs.
