 Abstract

Abstract: As the name implies Alankaras are the factors of Kritis (classical songs) or ganas, which adorn the musical compositions. So, these are known as Ganaalankaras. There are different types of Ganaalankaras. The great composers of Karnatic music used varieties of them regularly as their signature in the compositions. The alankaras enhance the beauty of a kriti to a large extent. This article deals with the major Ganaalankaras used by the great composers of Karnatic music.

 Abstract

Presently doctors find it very difficult to inject medicine into the veins for any intravenous procedure. This procedure can be cumbersome, especially for subjects with thin veins or who are obese or for patients with damaged skin. Paediatric patients also belong to this class of people because their veins are extremely thin due to their infancy. In case of extreme emergencies involving the aforementioned patients, it becomes difficult to feed/detect specific veins for carrying out the IV procedure, and the delay in treatment may become life threatening. Clinical staff often finds it difficult to locate the desired vein in paediatric patients. As of now, vein detection is among the latest techniques being researched today to resolve this issue. The present work includes the development of a cost effective vein viewer using a raspberry Pi kit with the aid of infrared rays to illuminate a region which is then observed using an infrared camera. By using this device, the results achieved were quite encouraging besides indicating the huge market potential for the technology. The results obtained showed that the presently developed technology was quite helpful in detecting the veins.

 Abstract

In this paper, a new passive earthquake energy dissipative device, called the dual-pipe damper (DPD), is used to study the percentage of improvement of the seismic capacity of a rigid connection steel structure. Different mechanisms such as yielding of metals, phase transformation of metals, friction, deformation of viscoelastic materials and fluid orificing have been used by researchers to develop several passive energy dissipation devices during the last four decades. Among these mechanisms, yielding of metals is one of the most effective, simple and economical mechanisms to dissipate earthquake input energy. DPD fabricated of two horizontal mild steel pipes in contact welded to each other. The frame with DPD seemed to 70percentage more ductility compared to the frame without DPD. The parameters such as diameter, thickness and length changed by different combination and the optimum pipe size are determined.

 Abstract

In this era of innovation in education, technology is integrated into language learning and teaching. As technology has become an integral part of our everyday life, it is time for us to cope with it and embrace technology in our teaching methods. At present, it is the necessity of the day that we teachers accept, appreciate and implement new learning methods such as a blend of traditional and technical learning. This kind of blended learning will help us to reach and teach the students more efficiently and effectively. When teaching is blended with technology, it creates a more dynamic and active classroom environment. While it is often defined simplistically as school work at home and home work at school, with supporting this Flipped Learning is an approach that allows teachers to implement a methodology, or various methodologies, in their classrooms. This concept Flipped Learning came with a change in approach to teaching. Recently the concept of Flipped Learning also known as online drive method has become the buzzword in the field of higher education. As we experiencing due to Covid-19 outbreak, educational platform is also disturbed, which persuade us to adopt this style of learning.  Abstract

While analyzing a multistorey building frame, conventionally all the probable loads are applied after modeling the entire building frame. But in practice the frame is constructed in various stages. Accordingly, the stability of frame varies at every construction stage. Even during construction freshly placed concrete floor is supported by previously cast floor by formwork. Thus, the loads assumed in conventional analysis will vary in transient situation. Obviously, results obtained by the traditional analysis will be unsuitable. Therefore, the frame should be analyzed at every construction stage taking into account variation in loads. The phenomenon known as Construction Sequence Analysis considers these uncertainties precisely. Therefore, the building structure should be analysed at every stage of construction taking into account the load variations. In this project two cases have been considered. In Case 1 the multistoried building (G+21 storied) with floating columns and transfer girder will be analysed by response spectrum method and considering P-delta effect as a whole for the subjected loading and in Case 2 the multistoried building (G+21storied) with floating columns and transfer girder will be analysed by response spectrum method with reference to the construction sequence or staged construction and considering P-delta effect. In the present study a G+21 storey multistoried R.C.C building model is modelled using Etabs 2018 software. Response spectrum analysis is made by considering building situated in zone III.Building models are analyzed by Etabs 2018 software to study the effect of maximum positive moment, maximum negative moment, maximum shear forces, maximum deflection, maximum torsion moment of transfer girder beam and total axial load under transfer girder and floating column etc

 Abstract

ABSTRACT Rape is the most terrible crime which can be committed against a woman as it impairs her not only physically but also mentally. Nothing can bring complete relief to the rape victim but a fair and quick justice can make a significant difference in her life. Sadly there are many pending rape cases in our courts which act as catalyst to increase the suffering and pain of the victim and her family. Nevertheless, Speedy Trial is the essence of an effective criminal justice system. Right to speedy trial is also recognised as a fundamental right enshrined under Article 21 of the Constitution of India and fortunately there are many laws which speak about speedy justice to the rape victim. The problem of delayed trial occurs because these laws are not implemented properly and often the obsolete methods are used to conduct trial. In order to make the idea of rape free India a reality, an effective mechanism of fair and quick disposal of rape cases must be adopted, so that the innocent daughters of India who are already a victim of rape are not re-victimized by prolonged trials.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT INTRODUCTION: Swimming is one of the most exciting Olympic sports. The tournament competitive schedules of top swimmers and their training programs are arguably more severe than in any other sports. Training can improve the performance of the swimmers. To achieve the best possible performance, the training has to be designed according to the principles of periodization. The training-induced changes observed in various biochemical variables can be attributed to appropriate load dynamics. This would enable the coaches to assess the current status of an athlete and the degree of training adaptability and provide an opportunity to modify the training schedule accordingly to achieve the desired performance. PURPOSE: Considering the current literature, the purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of 8 weeks of swimming training on selected health-related physical fitness and bio-chemicals parameters of adult males. METHOD: 30 sedentary males, having no active sports life will participate in the investigation. All will be beginners in swimming. 30 samples will be divided into two equal and one group will be treated as an experimental group and the remaining will be treated as a control group. Swimming exercises will be done for totally 8 weeks, one hour a day, 5 days a week for the experimental group. Weight, height, BMI .health related fitness will be through the standard procedure, Vo2 max will be calculated through Fox Equation and Lipid profile and total protein will be clinically estimated before and after the training period. After collecting the pre and post-test data from both the groups, they will be statistically treated following the t test, and the level of significance will be .05 level of confidence. RESULTS: Within the limitations of the present study, the following conclusions were drawn 1. The BMI, Body fat%, serum cholesterol, Triglyceride, VLDL, and LDL of the subject was significantly decreased following 8 weeks of swimming training. 2. PEI, flexibility, strength, endurance, and HDL of the subject were significantly increased following 8 weeks of swimming training. Whereas, 3. FBS, Serum Albumin, and Serum Globulin remain unaffected following 8 weeks of swimming training.

 Abstract

Glyphosate demonstration in faba bean variety was conducted at Adigollo kebelle (Ofla district) in 2017 main cropping season to demonstrate the efficacy of herbicide to control orobanche weed. The herbicide chemical was applied using the improved Hashenge faba bean variety as treated and untreated (control) plots. The analysis of variance of O. crenata severity showed significant (p<0.05) difference on the orobanche number per square meter but no significant difference among orobanche severity, incidence and grain yield of faba bean variety. Moreover, the result indicated that the highest O. crenata number per plant (7) was observed in untreated Hashenge variety while the lowest (3.4) was recorded on the treated plot. Based on this, the treated plot of Hashenge variety with glyphosate was reduced by 49% O. crenata number than the untreated plot. The severity and incidence of orobanche on Hashenge variety inoculated with glyphosate was reduced by 53.33% and 21.79 % than the uninoculated plot of Hashenge variety, respectively. The Orobanche resistant variety, Hashenge treated with glyphosate, had 9.30% more seed yield than untreated plots and this management practice has to be popularized and scaled up/out to the orobanche infested areas of the Ofla district of the southern Tigray and other similar areas.

Referring to the policy of the Central Government, the Provincial Government of East Java made Governor Regulation No. 18 of 2020 to limit the movement of the people of East Java, especially in public places. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of East Java community opinion in the Implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions. The research method used is quantitative, with the sampling technique used is probability sampling. The results of this study are that the majority of respondents agree with the Large-Scale Social Restrictions as a step by the Central Government in breaking the Covid-19 chain. Community understanding of the Large-Scale Social Restrictions policy is also very high. However, community action in implementing health protocols according to standards set by WHO is still low. Besides, the implementation of large-scale social restrictions is considered by the community not to be applied consistently and is deemed to affect the community's economy. Aid was also assessed by the community as not all were distributed on target. The recommendations that can be made by the government are to implement the implementation of large-scale social restrictions consistently and distribute aid equally and on target.

 Abstract

India is a developing country and the current situation of the healthcare delivery system is not up to the mark. The study deals with the stepwise process of initiating and planning a tertiary care hospital. An attempt has been made to identify the processes, sub-processes, methods of calculation, tools to be used, standards to be referred, and stakeholders responsible behind each of the steps. To make the deliverables and responsibility of each stakeholder clear, a RACI matrix has been generated for both government and private hospital projects. But the infrastructure alone is not sufficient to solve the challenges prevailing therefore the challenges prevailing had been identified and suggestions have been given for improving the situation. A survey was also conducted to understand the challenges and to know the quality of services provided. The most unsatisfied facility in public, as well as private, was found out and a method to rectify it in the planning stage itself has been suggested.
