 Abstract

The story of Little Red Riding Hood is well-known. However, we know very little of the different versions that the story has and how widely it has been adapted. Authors have read into the colour and the victim-hood of the girl whose story has been written and re-written. Initially meant to impart a lesson to little girls on correct behaviour, the story went on to acquire several other layers and implications. In my paper, I explore the different variations and adaptations of the well-known story and de-familiarize it, finding new ways and dimentions to look at the story and the "lesson" it imparts.

 Abstract

Graphene a single layer 2-dimensional structure nano material with unique physicochemical properties (e.g. high surface area, excellent electrical conductivity, strong mechanical strength, unparalleled thermal conductivity, electrochemical, remarkable biocompatibility and ease of functionalization), has received increasing attention in physical, chemical and biomedical fields. Single-layer graphene oxide sheets down to a few nanometers in lateral width. We develop functionalization chemistry to impart solubility and compatibility of GO in biological environments. Graphene based materials for biomedical applications. In particular, graphene based biosensors for small biomolecules (glucose, dopamine etc.), proteins and DNA detection have been summarized graphene based bioimaging, drug delivery, photo thermal therapy, biosensor , gene delivery , tissue engineering , cell growth , steam cell differentiation, cancer treatment ,mass spectrometry application of graphene use in biomedical.

 Abstract

Ayurveda is holistic science of life which is very ancient. Many siddhantas are explained in Ayurveda, srotas kalpana is one of them.Srotas are the channels of the body through which the materials needed for tissue building, nutrition and other nutrients flow from one corner of the body to the other, we can tell that the materials are transported through the channels from the place of production to place of need1(Gangadhara) Rasavaha srotas are considered as main srotas since they supply nutrients to all body parts. Aim & Objective: i) To Study the concept of Rasavaha Srotas ii)To Study the Anatomical view of Heart and Cardiac Diseases. Methodology: There are many Ayurvedic text, literature, articles, books which enlighten the topic. Brihattrayee with their commentaries.Conclusion: The transportation is the key for evolution of mankind. The word Srotamsi in the context of srotas indicates all level of exchanging and transportation of Posahya Rasa from Ahara Rasa at micro to macro level of cells and tissue.The sapta dhatu are the product of ahara rasa. The poshya Ras Dhatu is the first tissue. This comes in the heart and is circulated all over the body providing nourishment. If the heart is not developed or if there is abnormalities then the char Ras which is flowing will hamper the body, creating defect in it. This is not only for the organ but all the body organs must be healthy to secure a healthy and faithful life. The article is a try to opt on Rasavaha Srotas in detail view and resemblance with cardiovascular system.

 Abstract

The aim of the study was to find the difference in pre-test and post test level of Concentration and Co-ordination among adult (19-55) and children (5-18) by using Concentration and Co-ordination Testing Apparatus. A quantitative method was adopted for the study. The tool used was Concentration and Co-ordination Testing Apparatus by Coexin Technologies. The apparatus were administered to a group of 60 children who were ranging from 5-18 and 60 adult ranging from 19-55. There were four different type of strings were used for the study. E14 & E8 for adult and D14 & D8 for children. Karl Pearson's Product Moment Correlation and paired samples t- test was used to analyze the collected data. The research reveals that there is no significant difference between pre-test and post test of time and error in design strings. The researcher concluded that the Concentration and Co-ordination Testing Apparatus is highly reliable.

 Abstract

Amplification is the most important functionality in modern Communication Radio receivers. The Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) is the chief design in the receiver architectures. In order to amplify the signal received from the antenna in a RF system, LNA is required. A low noise amplifier operated in 26 GHz band with maximum gain of 27.861 dB and minimum noise figure of 1.467 dB has been designed using GaAs p-HEMT technology. The design uses inductive source degeneration topology along with resistive shunt feedback amplifier to get appropriate trade-off between gain and noise figure. Advanced Design System (ADS) software has been used for observing the simulation results.

An emerging research field that is based on Human-centered computing aims to understand human activity and integrate users and their social context with computer systems. One of the most recent and unique and challenging applications in this framework consists in recognizing human body motion using smartphones to gather context information about people actions. In this context, we have described in this work with the help of Activity Recognition database, created from the recordings of many subjects doing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) while carrying a waist attached smartphone with mounted inertial sensors, which is released to public domain on a well-known on-line repository. Results, obtained on the dataset by using a multiclass Support Vector Machine (SVM), are also honored.

Fast fault detection protects connected equipment by detecting and suppressing the spurious signal before any significant damage. Transmission line protection is the main objective of this project in the power system about 80-85% fault suppression. LM 317 used in a circuit that provides variable output voltage for the connected load. Output voltage adjusted by rotating potentiometer. Potentiometer is used to increase clear display through LCD. Connecting the network of resistors, the Arduino measures voltage and current. Received high voltage back EMF from the relay coil switching the relay ON and OFF and protects the sensitive load.

 Abstract

This paper reviews the method for traffic sign detection and recognition. In the section on learning-based detection, we review the Viola Jones detector and the possibility of applying it to traffic sign detection. The recognition of the detected traffic sign is handled by the Histogram of Gradient based SVM classifier. Together this system is expected to perform much better than the other systems available. The algorithms when trained with proper set of images have been noted to perform accurately. This must hold true for the traffic signs as well under different color, lighting, atmospheric conditions.

 Abstract

A simplified control algorithm for a three-phase, four-wire unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) is presented to compensate for supply voltage distortions/unbalance, supply current harmonics, the supply neutral current, the reactive power and the load unbalance as well as to maintain zero voltage regulation (ZVR) at the point of common coupling (PCC). The UPQC is realized by the integration of series and shunt active filters (AFs) sharing a common dc bus capacitor. The shunt AF is realized using a three-phase, four leg voltage source inverter (VSI) and the series AF is realized using a three-phase, three leg VSI. A dynamic model of the UPQC is developed in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment and the simulation results demonstrating the power quality improvement in the system are presented for different supply and load conditions.
