In recent years, increasing evidence suggests that commensal microbiota may play an important role not only in health but also in disease including cerebrovascular disease. Gut microbes impact physiology, at least in part, by metabolizing dietary factors and host-derived substrates and then generating active compounds including toxins. The purpose of this current review is to highlight the complex interplay between microbiota, and their metabolites. and essential functions for human health, ranging from regulation of the metabolism and the immune system to modulation of brain development and function. We discuss the role of gut dysbiosis in cerebrovascular disease, specifically in acute and chronic stroke phases, and the possible implication of intestinal microbiota in post-stroke cognitive impairment and dementia, and we identify potential therapeutic opportunities for targeting microbiota in this context.

In the beginning, the Meitei were a vibrant people who thought that all natural objects held a soul substance or life force. This theoretical perception gives rise to the widespread animistic conviction that all things, whether big and little, are alive with spirits or souls. In keeping with this animistic idea, nature's totemism are elevated to the status of guardian spirits, while goblins- a supernatural belief in nature's malevolent intent- also emerge from a fear of the enigmatic events that give rise to stories. The concept of the distinct soul, which originated from visions and dreams and was then attributed to godhead, may have contributed to the creation of various deities, such as those worshipped in totemic or fetishistic contexts or through idolatry. In an effort to satiate the two natural desires that are ingrained in every human being- the need to "know" and "to worship"- they then pursue matter, force, and thought to their highest potential.

Water quality monitoring is a key factor in guaranteeing that freshwater resources are clean and sustainable. Developing in the past methods of testing parameters, like turbidity, pH, and temperature, is done by collecting samples manually and sending them to the laboratory for analysis. Certainly this approach doesn't match the requirements of more modern water quality monitoring. In order to accomplish this, we developed an advanced monitoring technique that allows the systems to detect turbidity, pH and temperature levels in water sources in a self-controlling way. The system is made up of sensors such as turbidity meter, pH meter, level sensor and temperature sensor, along with a single chip microcontroller data acquisition module, information transmission module, monitoring center and other accessories. A single-chip microcontroller is guiding the process of continuous viewing of water parameters and their real-time analyzing. Data picked up by the sensor systems are processed and transmitted to a command node, which, in turn, can activate an alert to the public through an IoT infrastructure. Due to increased global water consumption and water contamination concerns, the deployment of the IoT technologies for water quality inspection can be a suitable solution to guarantee water quality and safety.

Introduction: Osteoarthritis is a chronic progressive, degenerative disorder characterized by cartilage loss. It is more prevalent disease in our society. It results in cystic degeneration of bone surrounding and narrowing of joint space. Worldwide osteoarthritis is estimated to be the fourth leading cause of disability in which 10% are males and 13% are females. Patella taping was initially developed to create a mechanical medial shift to the patella, thereby centralizing it and improving patellar tracking. Muscle strengthening and aerobic exercise are effective in reducing pain and improving physical function in patients with mild to moderate OA of the knee. The aim of study compare the effectiveness of medial shift taping of patella along with ultrasound and strengthening exercises with ultrasound and strengthening exercises. Methodology: It is an experimental study of pre-test and post-test. The sampling method is Purposive random sampling and sample size is 60. These subjects with knee osteoarthritis were included and randomly assigned into 2 groups. Group - A received medial shift patella taping with ultrasound and strengthening exercise. Group B received ultrasound and strengthening exercises alone. Medial taping of patella is applied for 4 days with 3 days of rest in between. Outcome measures used are NPRS and WOMAC scale. Results: In this study, 60 patients between the age group of 50-60 years, with a history of arthritis ranging in duration from 6 months to 2 years were taken. The sample consisted of 17 females and 13 males with all subjects having unilateral symptoms. The pre-and post-test values were statistically tested using t test for their level of significance. The results in this study showed a statistically significant improvement in the taping group (p = <0.005) with 38-40% of pain reduction. Also the pain reduction in this study remained even after 3 weeks after discontinuing the therapy, thus having a carryover effect. In our study, the percentage reduction in pain was greater, that is 49.53%. Conclusion: The result showed that the experimental group was better than the control group in reduction of pain and gaining improvement in functional ability.
