 Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a complex neurodevelopmental condition that affects children's ability to focus, control impulses, and manage behaviors, often leading to challenges in emotional regulation and interpersonal relationships. Dance therapy, an expressive form of therapy that combines movement with psychological benefits, has gained attention for its potential to improve emotional well-being and social skills in children with ADHD. The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of dance therapy in enhancing interpersonal relationships among children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). A quasi-experimental design was employed, with a sample of 8 children from a special children's center in Chidambaram. The Children's Interpersonal Relationships and Attitudes Assessment (CIRAA) by Holliman & Ray (2013) was used to measure interpersonal relationships, respectively. Participants underwent a structured dance therapy program over 8 sessions during four weeks. To analyze the pre- and post-intervention data, a paired-sample t-test was employed to determine statistical significance in changes in interpersonal relationship scores. Results indicated that after the intervention, there was a statistically significant improvement in interpersonal relationships among the ADHD children. These findings suggest that dance therapy could be an effective complementary approach in enhancing emotional and social outcomes in children with ADHD. Further research with larger samples and control groups is recommended to validate these findings and explore the mechanisms underlying the benefits of dance therapy in this context.

 Abstract

--The use of renewable energy is increasing and decreasing the use of dangerous fossil fuels. It is inefficient to link fuel cells or photovoltaic (PV) panels in series and parallel to meet the grid's energy needs from renewable sources. From now on, the combination of step-up dc-dc converters and attractive renewables will fulfill load requirements in several low-power applications. The quadratic boost converter is more often used than the buck and buck-boost converters due to the demand of voltage gain.Using a traditional quadratic boost converter to achieve high gain at a high duty ratio will result in increased voltage, stress, and lower efficiency. The suggested converter is made to produce high gain at a lower duty ratio and lower voltage stress.A voltage multiplier cell added to the rear end of this construction reduces the voltage stress across the switches.By modeling the converter in Matlab/SIMULINK R2020b, results are obtained.According to the simulation findings, the suggested high-gain converter achieves a maximum operating efficiency of 89% while delivering high-gain and reducing voltage stresses in switching devices. The hardware prototype was developed with an output of 10.8V and an input of 2V using a microcontroller TMS320F28027F.

 Abstract

The concept of self is probably the most distinctive and indispensable concept in psychology. Self-concept is the overall idea we have about who we are and includes cognitive and affective judgments about ourselves. Self-concept is multi-dimensional, incorporating our views of ourselves in terms of several different aspects (e.g., social, religious, spiritual, physical, emotional. With a view to construct and standardize the self-concept tool, the researcher selected research components such as self-awareness, self-direction, self-esteem, self-control and self-image to collect the research data. Survey research method was used to collect the quantitative data from the secondary level students. The students of Kutch district from the total population of Central Gujarat were selected for the study through simple random sampling technique. The researcher prepared 50 statements in the tool under 5 dimensions of self-concept. 10 questions were there in each dimension. After revising and editing carefully the tool was given to the research expert for their valuable suggestions and corrections to ensure the quality before standardizing the tool. Thus, content reliability was established. The students of self-financing English medium schools were given the questionnaire. The collected quantitative data were analyzed through correlation analysis technique. The major findings of the study indicate that the students are having a positive correlation between their self-concept and the given dimensions which are self-esteem, self-control and self-image.

 Abstract

These days, high gain DC-DC converters are re- quired due to the growing usage of solar energy resources. Low efficiency and increased voltage stress are the results of employing a traditional boost converter running at a high duty ratio to achieve high gain. The suggested converter is made to have a low duty ratio, less voltage stress, and a high gain. In order to create this construction, a voltage multiplier cell is added to the rear end of a traditional buck boost converter using a capacitor and diode. This lowers the voltage stress across the switches. Switches with low voltage ratings can thus be utilized.Additionally, a suggested converter that satisfies every need for DC-DC converters in solar applications is examined. This converter has the features of a broad voltage conversion range, constant input current, and high conversion efficiency. A detailed analysis is conducted of the converter's steady-state features and principles of operation. By modeling the converter in MATLAB/SIMULINK R2017b, results are obtained. According to the simulation findings, the converter reaches a peak efficiency of 85% and has a significant voltage gain. A TMS320F28027F microcontroller is then used to implement the hardware prototype with a 2V input, yielding an output of 8.5V.

 Abstract

In recent years, the Indian film industry has produced numerous movies that tackle pressing gender issues, shedding light on women's independence, sexual assault, and empowerment. This research paper examines the portrayal of gender issues in the Indian film industry, focusing on the 2020 Bollywood film "Thappad," directed by Anubhav Sinha and starring Taapsee Pannu. Recent years have seen a surge in films that address pressing gender issues, highlighting themes of women's independence, sexual assault, and empowerment. Movies such as "Queen," "Pink," "Hidden Figures," "Bandit Queen," and "Begum Jaan" have depicted these themes through narratives that showcase women's struggles and triumphs. "Thappad" stands out for its poignant exploration of domestic abuse and gender dynamics. The film centers on a single slap that shatters the seemingly perfect life of the protagonist, Amrita, and delves into the broader ramifications of this act on her and the women around her. By presenting the experiences of characters from diverse backgrounds, "Thappad" exposes the pervasive nature of domestic violence and challenges societal norms that undermine women's independence and self-respect. This paper argues that the film's powerful message and nuanced portrayal contribute significantly to the ongoing discourse on gender equality in contemporary cinema.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: This study evaluated the long term outcomes of exercise therapy for adhesive capsulitis. In this study, we understood how to overcome pain and improves ROM of shoulder. In this, we studied on two group Group A and Group B. In Group A we were using therapeutic protocol of treatment and in Group B we were using the conventional physiotherapy treatment. METHOD: The research was a clinical experimental trial using convenient sampling having 30 participants from the college OPD of Sanskriti university. The inclusion criteria were Unilateral primary Adhesive Capsulitis., Age group 40-70 years old and Patients who had not taken physiotherapy treatment previously for same condition, while the exclusion criteria were Patients who had Adhesive Capsulitis secondary to Shoulder dislocation, fractures, reflex sympathetic dystrophy and rotator cuff tears, Previous reduction under general anaesthesia, Neurologic deficits affecting Shoulder function in normal daily activities or Injection with corticosteroids in the affected Shoulder in the preceding 4 weeks. The tools and instrumentations used were Shoulder Pain and Disability Questionnaire, consent form, Goniometer, SWD, Thera Band, Dumbbells, Wand, Moist pack, etc. RESULT: All shoulder ROM showed significant improvement in both groups when compared with paired t-test for within group analysis. Group A had a significant decrease of SPADI score as compared to Group B by the end of treatment. Group A reduced by 19.73 and for Group B reduction was 12.53. CONCLUSION: From the results obtained from this study it could be concluded that given therapeutic protocol is effective for management of Adhesive Capsulitis. It has been demonstrated that the given therapeutic protocol is more successful in managing adhesive capsulitis than conventional treatments. The patient's functional ability and joint mobility both improved as a result of this therapeutic protocol. Subjects did, however, considerably improve with both treatment approaches; the differences with the conventional treatment strategy were negligible. FUNDING: There was no funding related to this study.

 Abstract

Cerebrovascular accident is the medical term for a stroke. A stroke is when blood flow to a part of brain is stopped either by a blockage or the rupture of a blood vessel. Stroke is the third leading cause of death and the most common cause of disability in the developed and developing countries. Stroke is a major cause of disability, mainly caused by motor disorders. Although most patients show significant improvement in motor function soon after stroke, 75% of patients remain deficient in the upper limbs after 3-6 months. Constraint-induced movement therapy is a neurorehabilitation approach developed, characterized by the retention of the less affected upper limb and the forced use of the affected arm. The aim of the study is to compare the effect of Conventional therapy and Constraint-induced movement therapy on upper extremity function among stroke patient. A total of 30 Stroke patient were recruited into this study and randomly assigned into two groups, the control group and trained group. Data were collected before training and 3 months after completing the training program. The study is Quasi Experimental study design. The study was conducted at outpatient Department, Physiotherapy. Group A - Receives Conventional therapy (Experimental - I) Group B - Receives Constraint-induced movement therapy (Experimental group - II). The Inclusion criteria and Exclusion criteria are considered in this research. The result is that CIMT is proved to be more statistically significant and clinically effective intervention in comparison to motor relearning programme among the patients aged between 35-60 years. Constraint induced movement therapy is significantly effective in improving upper limb function than conventional therapy on cerebrovascular accident patient.

 Abstract

Abstract This paper explores the transformative role of the National Education Policy (NEP) in reshaping higher education within India. Amidst global shifts and local imperatives, the NEP stands as a pivotal framework aimed at modernizing educational practices, fostering innovation, and enhancing accessibility across the spectrum of higher education institutions. Through a critical analysis of policy objectives, implementation challenges, and anticipated outcomes, this study highlights how the NEP seeks to address longstanding structural deficiencies while aligning with contemporary educational paradigms. By examining the features, opportunities and challenges faced this research elucidates the NEP's potential to redefine educational landscapes, empower diverse stakeholders, and propel India towards a knowledge-driven future.
