The aim of this study was to isolate and identify environmental bacteria from various raw water sources as well as the drinking water distributions system in Mafikeng, South Africa, and to determine their antibiotic resistance profiles. Water samples from five different sites (raw and drinking water) were analysed for the presence of faecal indicator bacteria as well as Aeromonas and Pseudomonas species. Faecal and total coliforms were detected in summer in the treated water samples from the Modimola dam and in the mixed water samples, with Pseudomonas spp. being the most prevalent organism. The most prevalent multiple antibiotic resistance phenotype observed was KF-AP-C-E-OT-K-TM-A. All organisms tested were resistant to erythromycin, trimethoprim, and amoxicillin. All isolates were susceptible to ciprofloxacin and faecal coliforms and Pseudomonas spp. to neomycin and streptomycin. Cluster analysis based on inhibition zone diameter data suggests that the isolates had similar chemical exposure histories. Isolates were identified using gyrB, toxA, ecfX, aerA, and hylH gene fragments and gyrB, ecfX, and hylH fragments were amplified. These results demonstrate that (i) the drinking water from Mafikeng contains various bacterial species and at times faecal and total coliforms. (ii) The various bacteria are resistant to various classes of antibiotics.

The civilized field is booming every day as India gains prominence as a progressing country. In urban areas, Underground cables, are rather used than overhead transmission lines. Even though Underground lines are beaten under some conditions, their usage is increasing as a result of simple advantages such as lower line losses, lower maintenance costs, and less vulnerability to severe climate effects. It's difficult to pinpoint the exact location of the flaws in underground cables. Since it's not obvious. In this paper, we used an IoT-based technique with a Google database to detect faults using the Esp8266 IoT module. It is based on the Internet of Things. In this case, we used the Esp8266 IoT module, which connects Arduino sensors to the Internet. For communication, we had set up a Hot Spot on the router. We connected each Module to the transformer and used the Google database to check the transformer status. When compared to other techniques, our proposed method is more accurate and efficient.

The aftermath of the pest attack brings a huge loss to the farmers. Various pest detection methods were followed for many years and there is a need for proper implementation which leads to reduced loss and thus increased profit to the farmer. The pests are underneath the leaves, so they require various stages of detection. Early-stage identification of the pest decreases the losses and usage of pesticides. Tremendous uses of pesticides impinge soil fertility and eutrophication. Precision farming methods and techniques must be implemented. Thermal imaging gives the infrared radiation intensity of the objects. The movement of the pest can be identified through it. Drones are used to take wide ranges of images. These images are analyzed and identify the pest intensity. A proper spraying mechanism should be implemented on the land such that it sprays a required amount of pesticide to the plant. The pesticide should be sprayed at the pest area of the plant. Healthy plants are not sprayed with pesticides. Accurate measures of the number of pesticides are sprayed with the help of proper control mechanisms provided by drones; thermal imaging and ground robot-controlled spraying.

Thermal conductivity measurement of metals or alloys is necessary in industry for quality control. Heat rate is one of the parameter in measuring thermal conductivity. In laboratory it is difficult to measure Accurate and repeatable heat rate and it takes longer time because of lengthy experimental process also complicated formulas. In order to overcome this we have designed software based heat rate measurement system using Phoneix kit. Combination of hardware and software framework is performed using Phoenix kit. Temperature is measured using IC LM 35 temperature sensor. Software is designed using python programming language with ubuntu operating system. The heat rate observed is 1.60938 0C/min, 1.615805 0C/min and 1.66379 0C/min for Steel, Iron and Brass respectively.

Traffic Sign Recognition is needed for independent driving and assisted driving research. TSR studies are of incredible importance for enhancing street traffic safety. In recent years, CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks) has made quite an achievement in image processing tasks. It shows higher accuracy than the traditional approach. Although, the execution time and accuracy of the present CNN techniques have been improved. The hardware necessities also are better than earlier than, resulting in a bigger detection value. To clear up those issues, this paper proposes a new approach to the CNN model. Improvised batch normalization and enhancing the community shape for traffic signal detection duties. The accuracy of the model inside the traffic signal detection project is significantly advanced, and the detection velocity will become quicker. The result showed that the strategy in this paper has assisted with improving the precision and recognition speed of traffic light identification and waning the equipment prerequisites of the discovery framework too.

Crack has an important role within the field of evaluating the standard of concrete structures, which affects the applicability, and sturdiness of the structure. Cracks on the surface of concrete structures like tunnels indicate the strength and durability of that structure. Hence it is required that these cracks be found as early as possible so that maintenance can be done. Thus, there is a need for new and efficient crack detection methods. In secure tunnel crack detection system using machine learning, tunnel surface images are obtained and are then encrypted. These images are then pre-processed and classified into cracks and no cracks classes using transfer learning technology of Inception v3 neural network model. The model achieved an excellent accuracy of 0.998, precision of 0.989, recall of 0.989 and fscore of 0.989

SAP (Super Absorbent polymer) is one of the smart materials with a great scope in civil engineering. SAP can effect the concrete in various ways and aspects like crack, shrinkage, tensile strength and compressive strength. In this study we are going to study the effect of SAP on the strength of concrete mainly and other aspects too. The name of the SAP we will be studying about is Sodium Polyacrylate. The main function of SAP is that it acts as an internal water source which also can be called as internal curing agent plays vital role in the after final setting time of the cement .SAP also imparts some extra voids as it forms gel with water and decreases the strength of concrete . It replaces super plasticizers and also works as a plasticizer to some extent itself. In this study we will concentrate on the effect of SAP on fresh as well as hardened concrete to determine its strength when itmis subjected to various loading conditions
