 Abstract

The beauty and wellness sectors are expanding rapidly in India due to growing affluence, improved lifestyle choices, and more awareness of preventive healthcare. Customers are increasingly looking for conventional medical and cosmetic goods made with natural ingredients that also have some level of medicinal action. Virgin coconut oil (VCO) is becoming more and more well-liked as a medicinal food supplement, neutraceutical, and cosmetic. Currently, using VCO for cosmetic formulation is a topic of intense research and commercial interest... A study was carried out at the Pilicode Regional Agricultural Research Station to develop a body lotion that included cocoa butter, bee wax, aloe vera, and fragrance elements in addition to virgin coconut oil as the base. Based on the findings of the sensory study, the optimal blend of body lotion that may be suggested for commercial manufacturing was determined to be composed of 76% virgin coconut oil, 12% aloe vera, 8% bee wax, 2% cocoa butter, and 2% rose oil. Keywords: body lotion, bee wax, virgin coconut oil, and sensory analysis.

 Abstract

Acyclovir, an antiviral medication commonly prescribed for the treatment of herpes simplex virus infections, is hindered by the limitations of conventional dosage forms, including the need for frequent dosing and poor patient compliance. To address these challenges, this study focused on the design and development of mucoadhesive tablets of acyclovir. These tablets were formulated using mucoadhesive polymers such as hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) and Carbopol 934P, in combination with other excipients.Tablets were prepared by direct compression and measured for mucoadhesion strength and in vitro dissolution parameters. The index (n) in all four formulations examined varied between 0.5273 and 0.7116, demonstrating non-Fickian release behavior due to coupling diffusion or polymer relaxation, providing control and complete release for up to 12 hours. Both polymers have a significant effect on the mucoadhesion force, measured as the separation force of the prepared tablets from the sheep gastric mucosa. In addition to clarifying the effect of the two factors on various response variables, this study will also help in finding a suitable formulation with good mucoadhesive potency and controlled drug release. It is seen that with the development of acyclovir mucoadhesive tablets, it is completely released before the absorption window, thus solving the problem of incomplete release and the absorption is not stable due to the increase in the duration of the drug's residence in the intestine

 Abstract

A significant monophagous insect in the sericulture sector is the silkworm (Bombyx mori L.). Due to the presence of chemo factors and antioxidants, mulberry leaves are valued plants rich in nutrients and nutraceuticals that are traditionally used in the rearing of silkworm larvae. The mulberry is regarded as a suitable plant for sustainable development and is utilized in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and healthcare industries. Starting at the start of the second and fourth instar, the silkworm larvae (Bombyx mori L.) are fed four different artificial diets. First instar larvae did not molten, and all of them died frequently. The lowest percentage of larval mortality and the highest weights of larvae, pupae, and fresh cocoons were seen when larvae fed on these diets from the start of their fourth instar and data was analyzed with test significant level is 0.081.

 Abstract

This paper introduces ALS Routine, a mathematical procedure inspired by Kaprekar's constant 6174. Kaprekar's routine, named after Indian Mathematician D. R. Kaprekar, involves iteratively applying a set of rules to any four-digit number, ultimately converging to 6174. ALS' Routine extends this concept to five-digit numbers, employing a unique approach of rearranging digits in descending and ascending order and swapping specific positions. Through this process, distinct pairs of numbers are identified, including the A-pair (54963, 52974) for five-digit numbers and the L-pair (6543, 2187) and S-pair (3285, 5274) for four-digit numbers, which repeat consistently in subsequent iterations.

 Abstract

While employees are the key elements for any organisational success, it has been observed employees practice disengaged behaviour of employees due to several factors. Of all the various reasons such as fear, lack of trust, hesitation, cultural norms, hesitation and many more, employees withhold information, suggestions, ideas, knowledge and prefer being silent which seems to be a burning issue at the workplace due to lack of communication; consequently, leads to occurring of employee silence. The current paper aims to assess the extant literature review on employee silence and its outcomes associated with different variables. Through the lens of systematic review, acquiescent silence, defensive silence` and pro-social silence were found to be the most universalistic dimensions. Silence leads to mostly negative outcomes such as reduction in organisational commitment, job satisfaction, employee innovative behaviour, job performance and so on. A platform of communication & redesigning of policies should be developed by the stakeholders to reduce the culture of silence which brings transparency among the organisational hierarchies. Also, the managers should be supportive rather than undermining.

 Abstract

Intaglio printmaking, celebrated for its intricate textures and detailed imagery, faces significant challenges in educational contexts, particularly in developing nations such as India. Traditional methods rely on costly metal plates, specialized chemicals, and intricate procedures, which often restrict accessibility for students and institutions alike. This study explores Tetra Pak intaglio as an innovative solution aimed at transforming printmaking education in resource-constrained environments. Tetra Pak intaglio leverages readily available Tetra Pak containers, repurposing everyday waste into functional printing plates. This technique presents a compelling alternative due to its affordability, simplicity, and environmental benefits. By eliminating the need for expensive materials and hazardous chemicals, Tetra Pak intaglio democratizes access to printmaking education, making it more inclusive and sustainable. The research conducted a workshop and faculty development program at Amity University Haryana to evaluate the efficacy of Tetra Pak intaglio. The findings demonstrate that this approach fosters a dynamic learning environment, encouraging creative exploration, skill development, and environmental consciousness among students and educators alike. Moreover, by promoting the reuse of discarded materials, Tetra Pak intaglio aligns with contemporary educational priorities of sustainability and environmental responsibility. In conclusion, Tetra Pak intaglio not only proves to be a viable and sustainable alternative to traditional methods but also enhances the educational experience by empowering artists and printmakers with accessible tools and environmentally friendly practices.

 Abstract

The situation in the labour market is such that one of the genders is dominating a given professional category. The phenomenon known as occupational segregation (by sex) is a persistent feature of labor markets all around the world. The present study seeks to look into the effect of this labour market heterogeneity (segregation) in terms of levels of living (well-being). It is observed that there is a negative relationship between segregation and levels of well-being. The higher is the intensity of segregation (i.e., the higher the asymmetry in the labour force), the higher is the deprivation in the levels of well-being (i.e., the higher the incidence of poverty).

 Abstract

The Nazis constructed Auschwitz by the end of 1943. Originally designed as an extermination camp, the leadership's decision to utilise all human resources available, including Jews, transformed it into a labour camp. The camps classified the detainees encompassed all ages, conditions, origins, languages, cultures, and traditions. Deported from various European countries, these detainees spoke up to forty different languages, creating an extraordinarily polyglot society. However, the official language, or a wide range of sociolinguistic terms, was German. The detainees struggled with the German language as all the signs were in German, which they didn't know or understand. This presented numerous challenges for them. They were required to complete everything in German exclusively. When they tried to communicate in their native language, they faced physical abuse and humiliation. The SS guards often used interpreters to translate their orders to detainees. These interpreters played an important part in the concentration camps' linguistic confusion. This paper seeks to highlight the circumstances of interpreters in a multilingual concentration camp, emphasizing the similarity of their fate to that of other detainees through an account from Primo Levi's masterpiece literary work If This is a Man.

 Abstract

In recent years, the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) has had a significant impact on the Indian economy. The GST is a comprehensive indirect tax levied on the supply of goods and services across India, and it has replaced a complex web of indirect taxes that were levied at both the state and central levels. To further simplify the compliance process and enhance the user experience, the government of India has developed a mobile application for GST. Here we are creating a GST mobile application that is a user-friendly and convenient tool for taxpayers, which provides a host of features and services related to GST. The app offers a variety of services, including registration for GST, filing returns, and tracking the status of refund claims. It also provides information related to GST rates, which can be accessed through its user-friendly interface. One of the most useful features of the GST mobile application is the GST calculator. The calculator is a simple and efficient tool that allows taxpayers to calculate the GST payable on their transactions. It can be used for both intra-state and inter-state transactions, and it takes into account the applicable GST rates and input tax credits. Another useful feature of the GST mobile application is the GST calendar, which provides important dates related to GST compliance, such as the due date for filing returns and making payments. The app has a user-friendly interface, offers a variety of services, and provides important information related to GST. Its features such as the GST calculator and GST calendar make it a must-have tool for all GST registered taxpayers. Overall, the GST mobile application is a significant step towards more efficient and transparent taxpayers in India.
