USE AND AWARENESS OF OPEN ACCESS SOURCES: A Study on Faculty, Scholars and Students of Andhra University M. HIMA BINDU* Dr. V. DHANARAJU** ABSTRACT The open access sources of use and awareness is becoming an important theme of substance for researchers, academics, librarians, university administrators, funding agencies, government officials, commercial publishers, and learned-society publishers etc. The exposed access literature can be pragmatic to all forms of published research output, including scholarly journal articles, conference papers, theses, book chapters and monographs. Prior to the advent of the Internet publishers and academic societies subjugated scholarly communication, and researchers channeled their research output exclusively through authoritative publishers and academic societies. Present-day when Internet has become a part of our lives, it endures to make changes in every facet of our society and restructures scholarly communication in many ways and publishing are progressively enchanting place in the electronic environment. Open Access was initiated in the developed countries and was marked by three notable declarations known as Budapest Open Access Initiative in 2002, Bethesda statement in June 2003 and the Berlin declaration in October 2003 and since then the issue is dispersion through the world and many developing countries as well as India have joined the effort. Open Access literature and journals and are expected to be read more often than those with subscriptions thereby having a higher impact rate. Additionally, open access suggestively accelerates the publication and use of new research by reducing the time lag between the actual accomplishment of a piece of research and its publication.

Education has a great impact because of the pandemic caused for Covid-19 outbreak which led to closure of educational institutions. Though the online education has been introduced but in case of children with special needs it is difficult to accept as those children needs more practical teaching. Covid-19 is a severe illness that gets transmitted from one to another. To stop this transmission a partial or temporary lockdown in all the countries was implemented. The present study tries to understand the situation of children with special needs being locked up at home with their parents. And to know the problems faced by them in pursuing online education which was totally a new perception for them. The study also tries to know the role of parents in educating their child at home. To fulfill these objectives intensive case studies are used by interviewing five parents of children with special needs. The secondary data are collected from e-resources and research based journals. From the study it was found that the children with special need are more engaged in household works than academic. The children are more getting isolated from the mainstream society. Use of mobile and television have increased in case of children with special needs. Thus, the study tries to understand the major impact on Children with special needs during the pandemic situation.

The tribal population is identified as the aboriginal inhabitants of our Country particularly in Odisha. PVTGs are more vulnerable among the tribal groups. They have declining or stagnant population, low level of literacy, pre-agricultural level of technology and are economically backward. They generally inhabit remote localities having poor infrastructure and administrative support. They are most vulnerable section of our society living in natural and unpolluted surrounding far away from civilization with their traditional values, customs and beliefs. Among the hundreds of Tribal Communities living across the length and breadth of the Country, there are some groups who are relatively more isolated, archaic, vulnerable, deprived and backward. They have been identified and designated as Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) for the purpose of receiving special attention for protection against exploitation and for their development. The purpose of the present study is to describe Socio-Economic and Cultural life of Juangs in Keonjhar district of Odisha. The design of the proposed study is descriptive in nature.

Global health which denotes equitable access to healthcare, particularly in remote-rural- developing regions, is characterized by unique challenges of affordability, accessibility, and availability for which one of the most promising technological interventions that is emerging is the Internet of Things (IoT) based remote health monitoring. We present an IoT based smart edge system for remote health monitoring, in which wearable vital sensors transmit data into two novel software engines, namely Rapid Active Summarization for effective Prognosis (RASPRO) and Criticality Measure Index (CMI) alerts, both of which we have implemented in the IoT smart edge. RASPRO transforms voluminous sensor data into clinically meaningful summaries called Personalized Health Motifs (PHMs). The CMI alerts engine computes an aggregate criticality score. Our IoT smart edge employs a risk-stratified protocol consisting of rapid guaranteed push of alerts & PHMs directly to the physicians, and best effort pull of detailed data-on- demand (DD-on-D) through the cloud. We have carried out both clinical validation and performance evaluation of our smart edge system. The clinical validation of patients demonstrated that the IoT smart edge is highly effective in remote monitoring.

In this research, Cement composites have become an inevitable part of construction industry. Concrete is the most utilized material on earth next to the water. With the advent of urbanization and increase in infrastructure activities, consumption of cement concrete has escalated. The production process of one ton of cement emits about 0.7 tons of carbon dioxide into atmosphere. The emitted carbon dioxide will lead to the greenhouse effect causing global warming. This turns affect the rainfall pattern, melting ice caps, and rise in sea levels. Hence there is a need to mitigate the use of cement and make development sustainable. The entire construction world is in search of a suitable and effective the waste product that would considerably minimize the use of cement and ultimately reduces the construction cost. Few of such products have been identified like eucalyptus ash and agave ash etc. Thereby, the mechanical properties such as compressive strength, split-tensile strength were determined for M25 grade concrete and by varying percentage of ash content from 10%, 15% and 20% by Cement is replaced by EUCALYPTUS ASH AND AGAVE ASH. Here the 10% of cement is replaced with 7.5% of eucalyptus ash and 2.5% agave ash. Similarly, in the next 15% and 30% of sement was replaced. The mechanical properties such as compressive strength with % ashes were compared with conventional concrete properties of M25 grade. From the results it is observed that increasing % of ash in concrete increases the compressive strength of concrete.

As the population rises, so does the need for land and the infrastructure that goes with it. Furthermore, architectural considerations dictate differences in the vertical parts of the structure across levels, as well as the introduction of transfer floor constructions that supply all services in one area while also supporting the vertical and lateral load systems and transfers. According to the current study, three 12-story models were built using ETABS software with transfer slabs on the first, third, and fifth floors, and the response spectrum analysis was performed and the findings were compared to reach a conclusion.

The act of attempting to anticipate the future value of a business stock or other financial instrument traded on an exchange is known as stock market prediction. A successful forecast of a stock's future price could result in a large profit. The factors that generally considers to predict the stock price are open, close, low, high, volume etc. The main objective of this project is to build a Machine learning model that will help to predict the future value of a company's stock. For Building this model we can use different Machine learning algorithms like SVM, naive Bayes, random forest and linear regression etc. Here in this project, as the stock market is volatile in nature, it will be effective if we build the model using LSTM. This LSTM is able to store the past information, which is very important in our project, because the previous price of stock is crucial in predicting its future price. Here the LSTM is an artificial recurrent neural network used in the field of Deep learning. For building this model we are using a well labelled dataset.

Holograms are as same as photographic images or videos which also stores phase of the light which gets reflected from the object beam. These holograms are initially used to store the 3D photographs as a trademark such as a hologram at the back of a Debit/Credit card etc. The initial development of holograms involved basic optical physics which later expanded to computational imaging as occlusion is quite low which imbalances background or edge parts of images. Hence, different approaches are being made in recent studies to improve the computational power of developing a hologram. The initial techniques which were used are point-based, which captures the high resolution images and calculates the RGB-D values at each pixel, render those values and project through Spatial light modulators (SLM) or Digital Micro-mirror Devices. If the data is more or images are more, the frames per pixel increase which make the rendering harder. So different deep learning techniques are used which initially train the RGB-D images to create a holographic image of an object. The development of this technique has started in 2020 and researchers are continuing to optimize the approach. This work aims to present the different approaches used to create a holographic images using deep learning techniques.

The number of vehicles on the road has increased dramatically in recent years, resulting in an increase in the risk of accidents. To address this issue and make driving more fun and comfortable, a new technology based on Mobile Ad-hoc Wireless Network Infrastructure (MANET) has emerged. This kind of technology is called Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs). It enables vehicles to interact with one another or with infrastructure in order to share various types of information and warning signals. Prior to actual implementation, simulation is one of the most effective alternatives for testing an approach on a machine to avoid potential dangers, realise the experiment results and behaviour in the real world. For a smooth simulation of a VANET, the simulation environment included both a network and traffic simulator. This study tries to focus at the simulation tools that are available for the VANET environment. This research uncovers the advantages and disadvantages of simulators, as well as their popularity. This study will assist researchers in selecting appropriate simulating tools based on their needs.

A definitive diagnosis of a brain tumour is essential for enhancing treatment success and patient survival. However, it is difficult to manually evaluate multiple magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images generated in a clinic. Therefore, more precise computer-based tumour detection methods are required. In recent years, many efforts have investigated on classical machine learning methods to automate this process. Deep learning techniques have recently sparked interest as a means of diagnosing brain tumours more accurately and robustly. The goal of this project is to analyse the medical test data set, which includes the whole Blood picture test results as well as the tests listed above, using QDA classification and Gaussian process classification methods. In addition, the tumour size in an MRI picture is estimated using Python's Pillow. The project comprises of four modules. The first module deals with adding the Complete Blood Picture test results and other test results to the database. The Gaussian Processes Classifier is a classification machine learning algorithm.Gaussian Processes are a generalization of the Gaussian probability distribution and can be used as the basis for sophisticated non-parametric machine learning algorithms for binary classification tasks and regression.
