 Abstract

The novel explores the experiences of a man who straddles multiple cultural and national identities. Through Vikram Lall's story, Vassanji delves into the complexities of the diaspora experience, offering a nuanced portrayal of the struggles and contradictions that come with navigating multiple cultural and national identities. One of the central themes of the novel is the tension between belonging and alienation. Vikram Lall is an Indian who grows up in Kenya, and later moves to Canada. He never fully belongs to any one place, yet he is deeply connected to all of them. Vassanji portrays this tension with sensitivity and nuance, depicting the complex emotions that arise from being part of multiple cultures and communities.

 Abstract

The proposed model of controlling traffic rule violations using ANPR techniques and image manipulation techniques for plate localization and character recognition is an efficient and cost-effective solution to address the increasing number of traffic rule violations. By using a camera-based PC system to capture video, the ANPR system can identify the vehicle number from the number plate quickly and accurately. Once the number is recognized, the SMS-based module is used to notify vehicle owners about their traffic rule violations. This can help in creating awareness among the drivers and also ensure that they are held accountable for their actions. Additionally, an SMS is sent to the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to track the report status, which can help in monitoring and enforcing traffic rules. Overall, the proposed model is a step towards automating traffic management systems and reducing the burden on human resources while ensuring road safety and efficient traffic management.

 Abstract

Coma is a state of unconsciousness where the patient fails to respond. These patients need utmost care and observations. This paper presents a continuous monitoring and recording of patient data without human intervention. If there are any sudden changes occur in the normal range of body parameters such as body temp falls or rise, blood pressure (B. P.) increases or decreases causing high or low B.P. where both are not stable conditions for better health, then it has facility to automatically alert the medical person. The development sensor identifies the patient development and furthermore produces an alarm message to the clinical individual. As torpid misfortunes their sensation for urine, clinical individual necessities to persistently screen urine yield, hence we are utilizing ultrasonic sensor to beware of urine level. Clinical individual can monitor patient utilizing login to the framework. The software IoT API we are using is Thing Speak.

 Abstract

Education is a lifetime progression, that begins from womb of mother and keep going throughout life. Education is the training of untrained minds. Training of mind, in which parents, instructors, peers, and society play a vital role. In recent time students are very sensitive towards their academic performance that is why they suffer from academic stress. A student under optimum stress performs his or her best, though excesses of stress may cause stress induced disorders and worsening his progress. Yogic practices cause decrease in basal anxiety level and decreases the anxiety level in distressing condition like examinations. Many yoga's like savasana, yoga mudra, child pose, Marjariasana) bhunjana asana, vrishasana and breathing practices like Bhambri pranayama, nadisodhan, om chanting, ujjayi pranayama, shitali pranayama etc. are help full to overcome from stress.

 Abstract

The demand for comfortable and affordable accommodations has led to an increase in the number of Pay Guest (PG) accommodations. However, finding the right PG can be a challenging task for many. In this study, we propose a Habitation Recommendation system that utilizes machine learning techniques to recommend the top 5 PGs based on the user's preferences. The system integrates Google Places autocomplete search for location-based search and a chatbot to gather user preferences based on personality traits. A survey was conducted to gather data on the behavior of residents in the PGs. The collected data were preprocessed, features were extracted, and the ML model was trained and tested. The ML model predicted the personality traits of the user, which were then used to filter the PGs based on the user's preference. Results showed that our system can effectively recommend PGs to users based on their preferences. The system can assist users in selecting the right PG based on their personality and preferences. This Habitation Recommendation system can help users in the accommodation selection process, making it more efficient and personalized.

 Abstract

The research paper analyses how the Korean web series "Little Women" represents the difference between the rich and the poor. The paper's main thesis explains how hegemonic institutions, such as certain organizations, family, and media, or in other terms the leisure class, generate social divisions and how their ideologies propagate spurious notions of what it means to live a luxurious lifestyle, covering up the treacherous situations. The paper starts off with a quick overview of the web series before moving on to its primary points. The concept of cultural hegemony by Gramsci and the theory of leisure class by Veblen are being used to explicate the central argument.

 Abstract

Steer-by-wire system (SbW) replaces the mechanical steering connection between the hand wheel and road wheels with algorithms, electronics and actuators. SbW emulates the "feel of the road," offers a wide performance range (including sporty, luxury, comfort, etc.) and enhances maneuverability through our variable steering ratio. SbW supports traditional driving and varying levels of Automated Driving. Steer-by-Wire is the center link in advanced steering technology suite - unlocking new safety and performance benefits. It also opens new possibilities for vehicle light-weighting and packaging flexibility. The automotive industry has already implemented many advanced computer systems in an attempt to increase safety and comfort of drivers. In parallel with these advancements we see a big shift from mechanical systems to electrical systems and steer-by-wire is another implementation that is very promising in terms of safety and functionality. Recent advances toward steer-by-wire technology have promised significant improvements in vehicle handling performance and safety. While the complete separation of the steering wheel from the road wheels provides exciting opportunities for vehicle dynamics control, it also presents practical problems for steering control. This thesis begins by addressing some of the issues associated with control of a steer-by-wire system. Of critical importance understands how the tire self-aligning moment acts as a disturbance on the steering system. A general steering control strategy has been developed to emphasize the advantages of feed forward when dealing with these known disturbances.

 Abstract

This paper will explore the possibilities of having a different fate for Sita and also attempts to analyse other trivialized women characters in the light of cultural feminism in the novel "The Forest of Enchantments." Cultural feminism seeks to validate the feminine attributes like motherhood, nurturing and cooperation. They try to build a peaceful balance between men and women by accepting that they are culturally and biologically different and their perspective of the world also differs from each other. In a way, this paper attempts to redefine the life of Sita. Sita, an embodiment of beauty, innocence and courage had to meet a tragic end in this epic love story. In order to preserve dharma and peace in the world she had to endure immense miseries and ultimately, she took a stand for herself. Her strong faith in herself became an epitome of strong personality.

 Abstract

Abstract: Theoretical results for Surface tension and excess volume were studied for the binary system formed by Benzyl alcohol + 2-Phenyl ethanol at 298.15, 308.15 and 318.15 K and atmospheric pressure over the concentration range 0.05-0.95, from the work of Ching-Ta and Chein-Hsiun Tu. Flory model,Ramaswamy and Anbananthan (RA) and model devised by Glinski, were utilized to study the association properties of strong interacting liquids. Changes in the surface tension (??) were evaluated and fitted to the Redlich-Kister polynomial to derive the binary coefficients and standard errors. Furthermore, McAllister multi body interaction model based on Eyring's theory of absolute reaction rates, has been applied. For liquid mixtures, the free energy of activation is additive, based on the proportions of the different components of the mixture and interactions of like and unlike molecules. The association behavior of the liquids was correlated with molecular interactions using the different liquid state models. Conclusively, these non-associated and associated models were compared and tested for different systems showing that the McAllister multi body interaction model yields good results as compared to associated models while Flory model shows more deviations.

 Abstract

Local Governance draws strength and focus from quality local legislation. More than a mere procedural act or legislative formality, legislation is concerned primarily with substance, where its main objective is general welfare and well-being, according to the Task and Responsibilities Checklist of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Newly Elected Officials (NEO), 6th Edition. The researcher employed the descriptive research design, quantitative method to assess the legislative competencies of the newly elected officials among First Class Municipalities in Region 3. The study found out that, the respondents were predominantly 51 and above years of age, males, college graduates, either employed or owned a business prior to employment and have attended legislative-related training prior to being elected and a large majority had sponsored resolutions. However, they need to undergo more training on effective local legislation since significant positive correlation has been noted, under legislative functions, jurisdiction of assigned committees, presiding over committee meetings and relationship building, the more number of hours of legislative training the newly elected officials have, the more adept they are in making laws and policy decisions, and enact these laws on our behalf. In summary, even though the majority of them have college degrees and their competency level is noticeably higher, they still lack the necessary abilities to put their knowledge to use. In order to advance and produce a continual improvement in the local legislative system as a whole, it is recommended that there be a continuous education and development focused primarily on the knowledge of parliamentary rules and procedure and skills training on effective communication.

 Abstract

Nowadays people are with low immune health which leads to weakness in body metabolism resulting in several health issues. Among that heart diseases, diabetics, osteoporosis, cholesterol, anemia and cancer are diseases that builds inside our body without any symptoms on its primary levels. Its presence inside the body can be identified only when it reaches its secondary stage at which total curing is impossible. So, nutrients that are needed for our body to fight against these diseases are Vitamin C, Magnesium and Iron. To give this altogether in a form of snack makes people healthy. Cipse diamonds, chips made of citron rich in vitamin c, pumpkin seeds rich in magnesium and white sesame rich in iron. As it is oven baked the possibility of nutrient loss is also less. The materials, methods and results are discussed in detailed.

 Abstract

Textile industries are one of the major industries in the world. The textile industry utilizes various chemicals and large amount of water during production process. The waste water produced during this process contain large amount of dyes. If a textile mill discharges the waste water into the local environment without any treatment, it will have a serious impact on natural water bodies and land in surrounding area. In this project, vermifiltration technique is used for treatment of textile waste water. A non-vermifiltration technique is also used for treatment of textile waste water. The efficiency of vermifilter for making appropriate quantities of following parameters like, BOD, Color, pH, Hardness, Alkalinity, Chloride content, and TDS in both techniques at varying hydraulic loading rate are studied.

 Abstract

The improper disposal of diapers and menstrual waste is an obstacle for public hygiene. Disposable diapers are thrown away indiscriminately and this presents some challenges, environmental and health-wise. Implementation of modern techniques like incineration can help in safe disposal of diapers and menstrual pads and to promote public hygiene. Here, the used diapers are dumped into an incinerator for incinerating. The sanitary napkins are also incinerating by dumping into an incinerator. The sanitary waste generation rate in Parappanangadi municipality around 200 kg/day. An incinerator has been designed to treat the sanitary waste like diapers and sanitary napkins which is being generated in Parappanangadi municipality with a capacity of 100kg/day. The incinerator will work at 600 - 800 degree Celsius and there is no smoke and foul smell. Both solar energy and steam energy is used for the working of incinerator. The excess electrical energy generated can be selling to the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB). The 2D model of napkin incinerator created using both Auto CAD and ANSYS software. The 3D model of napkin incinerator created using ANSYS software. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is done in the incinerator with ANSYS software. The Cost estimation is also created. The disposal system of diapers and sanitary napkins are designed for Parappanangadi municipality in Malappuram district which contain 45 wards, for hygienic environment.
