 Abstract

Internet-of-Things (IoT)-based technologies have quickly transformed practically every business, including "Smart Agriculture," which has switched from statistical to quantitative methods. Such radical developments are upending traditional agricultural practises and opening up new opportunities alongside a number of difficulties. This research demonstrates the promise of wireless sensors and the Internet of Things (IoT) in agriculture as well as the difficulties that will inevitably arise when integrating this technology with conventional farming methods. In-depth analysis is done on IoT devices and communication methods related to wireless sensors used in agriculture applications. The available sensors for various agricultural applications, including soil moisture, humidity, and plant development, are listed. We explain how this technology benefits farmers at all stages of crop production, from sowing to harvesting.

 Abstract

Transdermal drug delivery system (TDDDS), commonly referred to as "patches", are medication dosage forms intended to disperse a therapeutically adequate dose of medication across the skin of patient. It is necessary to consider the complete morphological, biophysical, and physicochemical characteristics of the skin in order to transfer medical substance through the skin of humans for systemic effects. By improving patient compliance and avoiding first pass metabolism, respectively, transdermal administration offers a competitive advantage over injectables and oral methods. Transdermal delivery not only allows for continuous infusion of medication with brief biological half-lives but also avoids pulsed entrance into the systemic circulation, which frequently results in unfavourable side effects. The TDDS review papers offer insightful data on the assessment of transdermal drug delivery system. A transdermal drug delivery system stands out among the new non-invasive administration methods that have recently emerged as alternatives to traditional needle injection because of its low rate of patient rejection, exceptional ease of administration, and exceptional patient convenience and adherence. The skin care sector, including cosmetics, as well as the pharmaceutical industry may be able to use TDDS. This strategy can prevent local drug concentration builds up and non-specific drug delivery to tissue that are not the drugs target tissues because it primarily involves local administration. Nevertheless, despite countless studies being done to find a way around this bottleneck, the physicochemical characteristics of the skin translate to several challenges and limitations in transdermal distribution.

 Abstract

Urban runoff increases significantly due to increased impervious area and reduced drainage network. Evaluation of land use in urban area plays a vital role as input to estimation of runoff. The hydrological design standard for water resource planning and management is commonly based on frequency of occurrence of heavy rainfall events. In the area of vithalwadi the life and properties are under the threat of flooding due to heavy rainfall within frequent time interval. In the present study, the occurrence of most frequent heavy rainfall event is investigated for Kathimanavli area, located near the Vithalwadi Railway Station in the State of Maharashtra, India and used for estimation of run off depth . The land use detail for the study area was obtained by integration of GIS and remote sensing. The spatial variation of event rainfall is considered with certain percentage of deviation from base rainfall for each triangle area that contributes to the run-off. The results of the analysis indicate that the study area can produce the run-off volume more than the present condition for water management at an average seasonal rainfall the canal already present, by maintaining the velocity of flow throughout the canal and drain out water into Ulhas river.  Abstract

Part of Speech (POS) tagging refers to the process of classifying each morpheme, including punctuation marks, in a particular text document according to the context. An important first step in natural language processing is the parts of speech tagging (POS) process (NLP). To tag each word in the corpus with its appropriate parts of speech is its goal. Noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, and adverb are the fundamental POS tags, among others. POS tags are required for speech recognition and analysis, machine translation, lexical analysis such as word sense disambiguation, named entity recognition, information retrieval, and this system also assisted opinion mining by revealing the sentiments of a given text. POS taggers are also lacking in many Indian languages because basic resources like corpora and morphological analyzers are still being researched and developed. The following section of this research proposes a probabilistic Hidden Markov Model-based POS tagger for Gujarati. In order to reduce ambiguity and misclassification rates, the hidden Markov model predicts the hidden sequence based on the highest observation likelihood. A variety of POS tags at the word level make up the model that was tested using sample input text data.

 Abstract

The complex stratum corneum barrier is the main obstacle to the transdermal administration of medicines. Modern lipid-based nanosystems, in particular transethosomes, have the capacity to penetrate the stratum corneum's dense network. They have demonstrated to be an effective technique for the transportation of medicines. Transethosomes(TELs) are composed of phospholipid, ethanol, water and edge activator(surfactants) or permeation enhancer(oleic acid). Delivering medication molecules into the circulation is made possible by the softness and flexibility that ethanol and edge activator both offer. Various techniques involved in the formulation of transethosomes are Cold method, Hot method, Thin film hydration method and Mechanical dispersion method. Compared to other vesicular systems, transethosomes have small particle sizes and are easily able to change the shape of vesicles, allowing them to pass through the layers of skin. The characterization of vesicles include Size of the particle and surface charge, Trasmission Electron microscopy, determination of entrapment efficiency, surface morphology study, interaction study by DSC and FTIR, drug content and stability of vesicles. These vesicular system can be used for transdermal delivery of various drugs such as NSAIDS, antifungal, antibiotics, antiparkinsonism, antiviral etc., In this review, the applications, challenging problems, and potential future developments of transethosomes were examined along with their nature, methods of preparation, and evaluation parameters.

 Abstract

To treat localized and systemic infections, topical drug delivery is an effective drug delivery method. There are multiple dosage forms for topical drugs, including creams, ointments, gels, pastes, and lotions. Major disadvantages of gel are the delivery of hydrophobic drug. This can be overcome by Emulgels. Emulgel is the term referring to the dosage form made by combining gels and emulsions. Emulgel is an interesting topical drug delivery system as it has dual release control system, i.e., gel and emulsion. Emulgels are thixotropic, greaseless, easily spreadable, easily washable, emollient, non-staining, having long shelf life, transparent, and have a pleasing appearance, which are all beneficial for dermatological use. Emulgel is used to treat aches and pains caused by injuries, arthritis, headaches, muscle aches, backaches, and other conditions. Hence, emulgels can be used as better topical drug delivery system over present systems. This review gives knowledge about emulgel including its properties, advantages, and formulation considerations.

 Abstract

Nagaland, situated in the Northeastern region of India, became the 16th state of India on 1 December 1963. As per the Census (conducted in 2011), the state which has a total area of 16,579 square kilometers, has a population of 1,980,602, making it one of the smallest states of India. Easterine Kire, a renowned Naga writer who is known to write the first Naga novel in English, is a prominent personality who has actively been engaged on various educational platforms. But at various places her discourse has been full of xenophobic elements in it. Taking up two instances of the same, the present paper is a response to the kind of depreciation shown by Kire of a section of society, and how it is disappointing, unacceptable and highly detrimental to the various efforts made by the Indians within the state as well as outside, to eradicate the antipathy which has prevailed in the past times. The present paper is also an appeal to the prominent social/literary figures to refrain from provocative discourses which may involuntarily may induce the unwanted and unnecessary racial, communal and ethical tensions in the society.

 Abstract

The prevalence of people sharing their opinions on social media, Twitter, and restaurant review websites has led to sentiment analysis becoming a popular research topic in natural language processing. Sentiment analysis involves extracting useful information from text data and categorizing it into different labels based on sentiment. This paper discusses the development of supervised machine learning techniques for classifying consumers' words used in their restaurant experiences. The dataset was collected while keeping legal and ethical issues in mind and was preprocessed to prepare it for classification. Supervised machine learning classifiers were then applied to the prepared dataset to build an automated system that classifies text sentiment based on sentence polarity (positive or negative). The paper presents a successful machine learning approach for predicting sentiment (positive or negative) in consumers' restaurant experiences, achieving better accuracy using the Support Vector Machine classifier among other classifiers.

 Abstract

Study Design: Cross-Sectional Study. Objective: To study the disability and pain grades of the lower crossed syndrome in young adults. Background: Lower Crossed Syndrome also known as the distal crossed syndrome is due to an imbalance in the strength of muscles in the lower region. A specific sequence of tight hip flexors & lumbar extensors in combination with weakness of deep abdominal muscles & gluteus maximus leads to this condition which in turn can progressively lead to disability and severe pain. Hence, this study aims to find out the disability and pain grades of the lower crossed syndrome in young adults. Methods: In this study 30 male and female patients between the ages of 21 and 31 years were diagnosed with Lower crossed Syndrome with MMT, Goniometer, and Flexi curve. Patients were asked to fill out the Oswestry disability index questionnaire to measure the disability grade and pain intensity via the NPRS questionnaire. Conclusion: The majority of the population was found to be moderate and severely affected by LCS in terms of disability according to Oswestry Disability Index and the Maximum part of the population had severe pain intensity according to the Numeric pain rating scale.

 Abstract

Background: Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2(SARS-COV-2). The first case was identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. It has since spread worldwide, leading to an ongoing pandemic. Small droplets and aerosols containing the virus can spread from an infected person's nose and mouth as they breathe, cough, sneeze, sing or speak. The virus may also spread via contaminated surfaces, although this is not thought to be the main route of transmission. It can spread as early as two days before infected persons shows show symptoms and from individuals who never experience symptoms. People remain infectious for up to 10 days in moderate cases, and two weeks in severe cases. Symptoms of COVID-19 are variable, but often include fever, cough, fatigue, breathing difficulties, loss of smell and taste. Symptoms begin one to fourteen days after exposure to the virus. Various testing methods have been developed to diagnose the disease. The standard diagnosis method is by real- time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) from the nasopharyngeal swab. Several vaccine erase chain reaction (new have been developed and various countries have initiated mass vaccination campaigns. Although work is underway to develop drugs that inhibit the virus, the primary treatment is currently symptomatic. Management involves the treatment of the symptoms, supportive care, isolation and experimental measures. Preventive measures include physical or social distancing, quarantining, and ventilation of indoor spaces, covering while coughs and sneezes, hand washing and keeping unwashed hands away from the face. The use of masks or covering has been recommended in the public setting to minimize the risk of transmission. Aim: 1. To assess the pre-test knowledge scores regarding the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) among the General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) students. 2. To assess the post-test knowledge scores regarding the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) among the General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) students. 3.To compare the pre-test and post-test knowledge scores regarding the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) among the General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) students. 4.To find the association between the pre-test knowledge scores regarding the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) among the General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) students with selected Demographic variables (age, source of information, residence). Methodology: Thirty (30) GNM students were selected to conduct this study at the Ancillary Medical Training School, Shireenbagh, Srinagar, Kashmir. Quantitative approach was adopted. A pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design was used in the present study to accomplish the objectives. Simple random sampling technique was used for the selection of 30 GNM students from the accessible population. The prepared tool (structured knowledge questionnaire) and the intervention (structured teaching program) was validated by a panel of experts. Pre-testing of the tool and intervention was done to check for the clarity and feasibility. Pilot study was conducted to assess the feasibility of the study. The main study was conducted from 26-0302021 to 01-04-2021. Data was collected by the administering structured knowledge questionnaire. After collecting data structured teaching program was administered to the subjects and on the 5th day post-test was conducted by using same structured knowledge questionnaire. The data was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics using chi-square and t-test. Results: The findings revealed that majority of the study subjects 18(50%) had good knowledge, 12(40%) had very good knowledge and none of the subjects had neither average nor below average knowledge with post-test mean score 30.00 which was significantly higher than the mean pre-test knowledge score of 20.22. Study concludes that there was gain in knowledge among students after importing structured teaching program. The study also concluded that there was statistically no association was found between Age in years, Residence, and source of information of students with their pre-test knowledge scores (p>0.05).

 Abstract

The rapid pace of advancement in the perspective of healthcare phenomenon has been accelerated with the recent pandemic. There has been a greater focus over the medical aspects of the environment and diagnostics that has made people and other healthcare professionals more aware about their wellbeing. It has been noticed that a large assortment of devices have been developed in the last decade that facilitate the monitoring of the patients. These devices have been getting smaller and increasingly accessible to the larger audience and has stepped out of expensive equipment that a large number of regular users can afford these devices. This allows for the larger implementation of such Internet of Medical Things sensors allows for remote diagnosis and consultation which is widely believed to be an efficient form of development. But such devices due to their footprint can become increasingly insecure and this is reason this approach defines an effective mechanism for increasing its security. The proposed approach implements, RCC encryption and Amazon RDS along with bit mapping and forensic report generation to achieve increased security for the IoMT data which has been quantified through rigorous experimentations.
