 Abstract

This work enhances traditional authentication systems based on personal Identification Numbers (PINs) and One-Time passwords (OTP) through the incorporation of biometric information as a second level of user authentication. In my proposed approach, the user draws each digit of the password on the touchscreen of the device instead of typing them as usual. A complete analysis of the biometric system is carried out regarding the power of each handwritten digit and when increasing the length of the password and the number of enrolment samples. The new e-Bio Digit database, which comprises online handwritten digits from 0 to 9, has been acquired using the finger as input on a mobile device. OCR algorithms play a crucial role in this process, enabling computers to recognize and extract text from images.

 Abstract

This project aims to design and develop a prototype of an automated motorized shopping cart, capable of trailing shoppers along with the extensive ability to avoid obstacles with its built-in intelligence. This feature has enabled the study of embedding the extensive ability of trailing shoppers in a shopping complex. Given a situation with obstacles in a complex mall, the shopping cart would have the ability to evade them. This can be done because of the system is governed by a simple micro-controller (Arduino Mega 2560), with ultrasonic positioning system (Transmitter and Receiver based approach) for identifying and locating the target person, and infrared sensors system to measure the direction of obstacles. In hope of adding intelligence values the shopping cart would be design in such a way that, the purpose of extending convenience service and safety to the customer can be delivered.

 Abstract

E-learning abolishes the distance between teacher and learner, learning resources and learner. The present study has been conducted to understand the issues and effects of online education on the students of pre-primary school in the COVID-19 PANDEMIC situation. The modern concept of evaluation is holistic in nature . So it aims to measure not only the knowledge and information segment but also attempts to measure how far students are able to compare, analyse, synthesize and interpret. This study highlights the advantages and disadvantages of online pre-primary education on various parameters. It is also concerned with the attitude, reactions, acceptability of the parents, teachers and doctors too. It deals with not only the quality education of pre-primary children but also certain other things related to this new issue. From the study it has been found that the use of technology in teaching-learning is highly correlated (negatively) with online pre-primary education system. Sometimes it is found that the management of private school is forcing Nursery, LKG and UKG students to take online classes for their own monetary benefit. It is seen that if the pre-primary school children aged between 2 and 6 years are given this pseudo-preschool experience, they do not gain the right skill set to grow. The results, of which, will arise at a considerably later stage. In fact, it may come out as negative impact on the child's overall development. Some parents complained that this system is making their children introvert.

 Abstract

In our city, overloaded public garbage bins often lead to unpleasant odors and unsightliness, posing health risks and facilitating the spread of diseases. To address this issue and promote public health and cleanliness, we propose implementing a Smart Waste Collection and Management System. This system includes Smart bins equipped to detect hazardous gases and monitor bin fullness, with data transmitted via wireless mesh network. This data helps waste management providers and cleaners make informed decisions, improving public cleanliness and health. The system alerts the municipal web server when bins need cleaning based on garbage levels and hazardous gas presence, using ultrasonic and gas sensors connected to a microcontroller. A WIFI module and IoT technology facilitate this process, enabling real-time monitoring of waste collection by municipal authorities. Additionally, a web-based application linked to the server notifies authorities of alerts and allows remote monitoring, reducing manual oversight and enabling timely action.

 Abstract

Despite Scads research to explore the association between (CSR) Corporate social responsibility spending and financial performance, literature are yet inconclusive. The study attempts to examine the relationship of financial characteristics of companies and the CSR spending in Indian emerging market. This research examine the influence of CSR spending disclosure upon the firm's performance through panel regression of samples comprising of 386 companies listed within S&P BSE 100 index, covering all primary players in capital market for four year period from 2014 - 2015 and 2017-2018. The inferences reveals out the trend in exploring the negative association of CSR spending on Firm's value and profitability (characteristics). This negative impact are majorly affected by Social and environmental spending disclosure score. The inverse relationship is highlighted by exposing the adverse impact of financial characteristics (Company's value and Profitability) on the CSR spending parameters. The research yields out implications to the policymakers, managers, investors and consumers of company. The inferences contributes to literature through offering CSR insights spending and the company's performance (Indian Emerging market) to have increased international focus. Further to this, the CSR disclosure measurement through (ESG)environmental score, Social score and then governance score stands as novel in this context.

 Abstract

Abstract: This project presents the design and implementation of an Arduino-based boundary detection system utilizing load cells, LED indicators, and a tare switch. The system is aimed at detecting when an object crosses a predefined weight threshold, indicating it has reached a boundary. The hardware setup includes an Arduino microcontroller interfaced with an HX711 load cell amplifier module and various peripheral components. LED indicators are employed to visually signal boundary detection, while a tare switch allows for resetting the weight measurement after each boundary crossing. Additionally, a 16x2 LCD display provides real-time feedback on the weight status. The project workflow encompasses initialization, continuous weight monitoring, boundary detection, and tare functionality. The Arduino reads weight data from the load cell, compares it with the predefined threshold to detect boundaries, and triggers LED indicators accordingly. Upon boundary detection, the system waits for the user to press the tare switch for weight reset.Future enhancements may include data logging capabilities, threshold adjustment mechanisms, and remote monitoring options, expanding the system's versatility and applicability in various scenarios. This project serves as a foundation for building robust boundary detection systems suitable for applications such as object sorting, inventory management, and industrial automation.

 Abstract

Potholes on roads pose a significant hazard to drivers and can cause damage to vehicles, leading to safety concerns and increased maintenance costs. Traditional methods for pothole detection often rely on manual inspection or specialized equipment, which can be time-consuming and expensive. In recent years, deep learning techniques have emerged as a promising approach for automating pothole detection. This paper presents a comprehensive review of deep learning-based methods for pothole detection, including the use of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and other advanced architectures. It discusses various datasets and preprocessing techniques commonly employed in this domain and analyze the strengths and limitations of existing approaches. Additionally, it highlights future research directions and potential applications of deep learning in pothole detection, such as real-time monitoring systems and integration with autonomous vehicles. Overall, this review provides valuable insights for researchers and practitioners interested in leveraging deep learning for improving road safety and infrastructure maintenance.
