 Abstract

The air driven engine is an eco-friendly engine which operates with compressed air. An air driven engine is a pneumatic actuator that creates useful work by expanding compressed air. There is no mixing of fuel with air as there is no combustion, an air driven engine makes use of compressed air technology for its operation. The compressed air technology is quite simple, conventionally rotary air engine are used but they require high operating pressure and high air consumption hence they find limited applications. The aim of project is to develop a micro air consumption engine with low air consumption up to 3cc per stroke and will operate such that when this compressed air expands, the energy is released to do work. So, this energy in compressed air is utilized to displace a piston which operates a linear to rotary actuator which further drives the energy multiplier flywheel. Thus, together by combination of the micro air consumption engine and novel flywheel we can get the maximum possible mileage from the compressed air. The project wok will include design, development and analysis of the air engine, rotary linear actuator, modified energy multiplier flywheel and the vehicle to demonstrate the working of the combined system.

 Abstract

Crop prediction plays a crucial role in agricultural planning and decision-making. In this research paper, we propose an automated crop prediction system that utilizes machine learning algorithms to forecast crop yields. The system leverages historical climate data, soil characteristics, and crop-specific features as input variables to train and develop accurate predictive models. To build our crop prediction system, we employ a comprehensive dataset comprising years of historical agricultural data, including weather patterns, soil properties, and crop yields. Feature engineering techniques are applied to extract meaningful features from the dataset, while ensuring data quality and consistency. Several machine learning algorithms, such as random forests, support vector machines, and gradient boosting, are employed to develop predictive models. These algorithms are trained and validated using cross-validation techniques to optimize their performance and generalization capabilities.

 Abstract

Due to the onset of COVID-19 pandemic, social isolation and quarantine have emerged as global essentials. IoT health monitoring systems prevent patients from meeting with medical professionals and making frequent doctor visits. However, medical staff must regularly monitor and observe the health of many people. The proposed work uses technology to make it easier for patients to get a diagnosis and treatment earlier. Using Internet of Things (IoT) technology, a smart health monitoring system is being developed that can monitor a person's temperature, heart rate, oxygen level, and blood pressure. This system is beneficial for villages and rural areas where nearby clinics can communicate with city hospitals about the health conditions of their patients. Nonetheless, in the event that any progressions happen in a patient's wellbeing in light of standard qualities, the IoT framework will caution the doctor or specialist in like manner. This health monitoring framework in light of IoT assists specialists to gather ongoing information easily. The system is able to regularly monitor the parameters thanks to the availability of high-speed internet. Additionally, the real-time data storage makes it possible to quickly retrieve previous measurements. Individual COVID-19 patients could be identified and treated earlier with the assistance of this system.

 Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted consumer behaviour and the e-commerce landscape. This study aims to analyse consumer attitudes towards online shopping during the pandemic and examine the impact of COVID-19 on the sales of selected FMCG companies. The research objectives were to assess consumer perceptions of online buying during the COVID-19 pandemic and analyse the effects of COVID-19 on the sales of two FMCG companies. A random sampling method was employed to select 100 consumers based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The study focused on understanding consumer attitudes towards online shopping and their perception of this mode of buying during the pandemic. Additionally, the financial statements of the selected FMCG companies for the fiscal years 2019-20 to 2020-21 were analysed to determine the impact of COVID-19 on their sales performance. The data analysis utilized two statistical techniques: a two-tailed t-test and chi-square testing. The two-tailed t-test was used to examine whether there was a significant difference in consumer attitudes towards online shopping before and during the pandemic. Chi-square testing was employed to explore the relationship between COVID-19 and the sales performance of the selected FMCG companies.

 Abstract

These days, there are numerous import and export activities happening. Oil spills in the water have happened frequently as a result of expanding business and the extensive use of sea shipping, which is the least expensive technique. The effects of large-scale oil spill accidents on industry and ecosystems have been felt all around the world. These oil spills resulted in the deaths of several birds and marine creatures. A slick, or thick layer of oil, is left behind after an oil spill, allowing sunlight and oxygen to reach the water. It affects life beneath the water since there isn't any oxygen or sunlight. Coming into direct touch with some oils can be highly harmful for individuals as well because they are dangerous and poisonous. As a response to these oil spills, various types of oil skimmers are in use. Examples include drum, belt, pipe, and rope types. All of them are used in the cleanup of oil spills. Nemours carried out a comprehensive literature review study on the topic of oil spill recovery in order to comprehend how oil skimmers work most effectively. The techniques employed to clean up oil spills are the exclusive focus of this study.

 Abstract

This research paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the influence of titanium dioxide (TiO2) on enhancing the cleanliness of concrete structures. The objective of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of TiO2 in promoting self-cleaning properties and reducing maintenance requirements in concrete. Traditional cleaning methods for concrete surfaces are often labor-intensive, costly, and environmentally unfriendly. In response to these challenges, the integration of photocatalytic materials, such as TiO2, into concrete formulations has emerged as a promising solution. TiO2 exhibits photocatalytic properties, allowing it to interact with ultraviolet (UV) light and generate reactive oxygen species (ROS), which can break down organic substances and pollutants. This study conducts a rigorous experimental methodology, including laboratory experiments and field observations, to evaluate the impact of TiO2 on concrete's self-cleaning capabilities. The analysis encompasses surface cleanliness, degradation of organic substances, reduction of pollutants, and long-term durability under real-world conditions. The results highlight the effectiveness of TiO2 in degrading organic substances, reducing pollutants, and maintaining cleaner concrete surfaces. Furthermore, the research investigates the implications of TiO2 incorporation on maintenance requirements and lifecycle costs, emphasizing the potential for sustainable and maintenance-friendly concrete solutions. The findings from this study contribute to advancing the understanding of TiO2's influence on enhancing concrete cleanliness, paving the way for the development of cleaner and more sustainable concrete structures.

 Abstract

We live in the "era of empowerment" and distributive leadership where possession of leadership by one is not sufficient to strive in the storm of competition and rapid change. Similarly, it is almost impossible for organisations to excel and survive with a homogeneous workforce, due to which workforce diversity and inclusion are one of the most emerging topics in today's world. Organisations are making all possible efforts from formulation to execution of several policies for bringing more effectiveness in the recruitment and selection process to ensure the acquisition, retention, and satisfaction of a highly varied workforce. A diversified workforce brings competitive advantage, innovation, new ideas, perspectives and cost-benefit to the organisation on the other hand communication issues, cultural misunderstandings, discrimination, and slower decision-making are some challenges faced by organisations. In this paper, efforts have been made to explain the concept of workforce diversity and inclusion various benefits and challenges are also discussed, along with the several perspectives and practices adopted by some leading organisations are presented in a lucid manner. This paper is based on secondary data. After going through readily available data, it emerged that adopting diversity and inclusion in the workplace is inevitable to hit the jackpot as diversity brings innovation, creativity and better financial returns.

 Abstract

Protecting our environment is essential in today's developing world. Around the world, a lot of instances involving natural and man-made calamities were occurring. One such environmental tragedy is wildfire. Once it gets going, the fire in the deep forest spreads throughout the entire area, burning and destroying everything in its path. Due to dry conditions, fire spreads more readily on hot days and decimates grasses and trees in forested areas. Such forest fire catastrophes need to be reduced in order to safeguard the habitats of the forest's flora and animals. The objective of this project is to develop and execute a system using Internet of Things technology. This system aims to anticipate and identify forest fires, transmitting the exact location to relevant authorities. By doing so, it empowers firefighters to promptly extinguish the fire at its initial point of ignition. This proactive approach prevents the fire from spreading across a wide area and enables preemptive measures to prevent any potential fires that might occur soon.

 Abstract

It is crucial to monitor solar photovoltaic power plants so that they can operate and maintain themselves effectively. The need to continuously monitor solar power systems cannot be overstated. In this project, unmanned solar power panel monitoring systems were the main focus. The output performance of the photovoltaic plant will be improved by active control and routine maintenance, which also contributes to decent or superior returns on the initial investments. Manual inspections are used to monitor processes, but as technology advanced, intelligent systems, centralised control, and monitoring systems, surveillance cameras, robotics, drones, etc. superseded the need for manual inspections. A study on the technologies underlying drone automation and intelligence was conducted. As a result of this study, it was discovered that drones could be given more autonomy and that large-scale solar power plants could be monitored more easily thanks to recognition technologies (RT), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). The primary objective of this project is to track and show data on temperature, local weather, and the orientation of solar power plant panels on a monitoring system.

 Abstract

Shashi Deshpande has clearly articulated in in her novels that women must speak for themselves because they are free individuals, but their autonomy is not derived from the liberal humanism which believes that all are equal- something that would surely be hard to sustain in a country like India riddled with gender bias. Deshpande's conviction that each individual subjectivity is ultimately responsible only to itself comes from the realization that no one can occupy another's subjectivity, a fact which becomes glaringly obvious in the face of death, which each must encounter alone. Thus, paradoxically, it is death, not creation, that endows freedom on the individual in Deshpande's fiction. Deshpande clamour for feminine space thus, is a code for the repression, self-imposed or otherwise, which cannot be breached. She forgets that the silence of women protagonists is annoyingly insidious which is often mistaken for speech. Deshpande claims that an essential self for every woman must exist since it is an ontological necessity. But this very demand for liberation from the limitations of gender roles is rather ironical because it exists only as a prerequisite for its death.

 Abstract

The tradition of making cow dung idols dates back centuries and these idols have stood the test of time, for example the Hanuman idol over four hundred years old stands proud in the city of Nigoha, UP. Idols made from cow dung are considered sacred and can ward off the evil eye, and there is ample scientific evidence to support this belief. The ingredients used in the preparation of Gomaya Ganesha or Ganesha cow dung have several healing properties. The article presents a study on the use of cow dung as a substitute in making idols of Bhagwan Ganapati. In modern times, modern building materials and technologies were well developed and widely used in the plaster formula for making idols.Despite the material quality and material availability, it is inferior and economically very high. So in this scenario and in this project we have to choose low cost materials like cow dung powder. These materials are replaced by POPs.

 Abstract

Eco-criticism is the literary genre that gained its prominence in the early 20th century. These subjects study the relationship of literature with nature and the environment. Easterine Kire's When the River Sleeps is an excellent book that shows the cordial relationship between nature and human beings in the most spectacular way. This paper is an attempt of exploring Kire's touch of eco-criticism in the place of Nagaland. His life under nature healed him very much both his inner and outer self, besides it also provokes him to realize his true potential to conquer the fear of spirit.
