The purpose of the survey was to assess how often consumers used over-the-counter (OTC) medications and to ascertain their awareness of the risks associated with doing so. We collected feedback on a variety of topics related to over-the-counter drug use. Out of 29 respondents, 72.4% used over-the-counter medications, usually bought on their own. The majority of them began taking their own medications two days after becoming ill. Frequent complaints of headache, cold, fever, generalized weakness, acidity, dysmenorrhea, and disturbed sleep were among the illnesses that led to self-medication. The majority of them 51.7%, 34.5%, by describing the symptom, and 15%, by displaying an old prescription, were able to obtain OTC medications. 72.4% of individuals report sharing over-the-counter medications with friends and family. Adolescents and the elderly exhibited the highest OTC usage. Self-medication was frequently justified by the time commitment required for consultations, the cost of those consultations, and the frequency of those visits. Analysis revealed that not a single middle-aged person knew the name of the medication, its dosage, how often it should be taken, or its side effects.

Teachers are crucial in molding the futures and careers of children. In the school environment, they undertake multiple roles to fully educate young learners, often extending beyond the responsibilities outlined in their formal job descriptions. Presently, schools operate similarly to organizations. It is impractical to list all the duties that contribute to enhancing children's learning and educational development. Therefore, it is essential for school administrations to foster organizational citizenship behavior, psychological capital, and organizational commitment among teachers to ensure the school's operational efficiency. This study investigates the gender perspectives in organizational citizenship behavior, psychological capital, and organizational commitment among school teachers in both public and private educational settings. A total of 400 teachers, aged between 25 and 45 years and with at least four years of tenure at their current schools, participated in the study. The research primarily focused on teachers instructing students from the 6th grade and above. Utilizing t-scores across various dimensions of psychological capital, organizational citizenship behavior, and organizational commitment, this study assessed gender-based differences. The findings reveal that female teachers exhibit significantly higher levels of organizational commitment compared to their male counterparts. However, no substantial gender differences were identified in terms of organizational citizenship behavior and psychological capital. These results underscore the importance of recognizing gender-specific dynamics in educational management practices, which could potentially enhance overall school efficiency and effectiveness.

The presence and absence of Odonates (dragonflies and damselflies) in a region indicates the quality of the land, the water bodies and the health of the ecosystem they provide. Odonates spend most of their life as nymphs (water bugs) in wetlands and streams. Each species requires specific conditions to survive, making them useful as bioindicators. For instance, Brachythemis contaminata thrives only near contaminated water bodies, tolerating pesticide-laden waters, while others prefer freshwater bodies like mountain streams. This study examines the decline in Odonata diversity in Kuttanad wetlands over the past decade, revealing a one-third reduction in their population. Advanced machine learning tools were used for automated species identification, and the study evaluated ecosystem health to identify potential causes of this decline, focusing on the relationship between Odonata diversity and water quality. The findings highlight Odonata diversity as a more reliable indicator of water quality than chemical tests, offering a comprehensive and long-term assessment of ecosystem health. The research involved a systematic survey and classification of over 21 species, revealing significant reductions in Odonata diversity within the wetland.

Insulin resistance is a complex metabolic disorder characterized by the body's impaired ability to respond to insulin, a hormone that regulates blood sugar levels. This condition is a major risk factor for type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, two of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Skeletal muscle is the primary tissue responsible for insulin-stimulated glucose uptake, and impaired insulin signaling in skeletal muscle is a key factor in the development of insulin resistance. Recent research has identified Intramyocellular lipid (IMCL) content as a significant determinant of insulin sensitivity, with higher IMCL levels being associated with impaired insulin signaling and glucose uptake in skeletal muscle. This review aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between IMCL content and insulin sensitivity, exploring the underlying mechanisms, clinical implications, and potential therapeutic strategies.

One of the first nations in the world to adopt a corporate social responsibility (CSR) legislative framework is India. India's CSR concept was inspired by Gandhi's "trust" and "giving back to society" ideas. As they attempt to comprehend the local and global origins of this predicament and begin to consider remedies, people are calling for increased corporate participation. The endeavor to understand and alter the world situation gave rise to this movement. The understanding that businesses had a responsibility to act in line with cultural standards, reduce their detrimental environmental consequences, and strive to be financially stable enterprises gave rise to the notion of corporate social responsibility, or CSR. This essay seeks to provide a thorough analysis of the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR), addressing various issues and barriers associated with its implementation in India. Studies show that corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs in India face a number of challenges. These include a lack of community participation, inadequacies in the complete CSR strategy of businesses, and difficulties with CSR implementing agencies, such as inefficiencies, a lack of transparency, and conflicts over CSR projects.
