Violence in literature serves as a riveting device of record, deeply entwined in the human condition and shedding light on societal norms, conflicts and transformation. From the time of origin till the postmodern tales, the depiction of violence has evolved reflecting changes in cultural, philosophical and psychological understanding of human behaviour and morality. Literature has not only captured the violence embedded in human societies but has always investigated its roots and upshot. In classical texts, violence has been employed to picturize the valour and virtues, portraying violence with a magnificent aura, almost in a glorified manner, stressing on the key-themes of epic tales revolving round themes of bravery and sacrifice. With the evolution of literature passing through ages, the presentation of violence becomes more subtle and critical. One come across the intersectionality involves in brutality while turning over the pages of any Shakesperean dramas. In Modern literature Violence often serves as a reviewer of social and political structures. Postmodern literature continues to wrestle with violence, periodically raising questions on the very nature of reality and representation. These texts evoke the readers to reflect on the cynical nature of violence and its extensive impact on human history and identity. The aim of the researcher is to deal with a new form of "Constructed Violence" that is recently being addressed by the writers of the last decade, centering round a global social crime, in the name of Human Trafficking. Trafficking involves the dislocation and transportation of human beings stirred by socio-economic factors mainly implemented by the use of fraud and deception on the part of perpetrators. Trafficking as an institutional form of violence typifies the systemic and prevalent exploitation existing permanently in the form of modern- day slavery. Trafficking is not at all an isolated criminal act but a deeply ingrained mechanism of oppression; strengthen by economic, social, and political structures that conserve inequality and marginalisation. The paper will aim to look at the process of trafficking in woman and child and the set up of violence that a victim is subjected too. Secondly, the paper will look at the role of society as a scavenger also society as a rescuer in the process. For the purpose, the researcher will read the kind of violence that the act of trafficking involves which is being addressed in the pages of the novel "Chain of Custody" by renowned Indian Novelist Anita Nair.

This study employs an EAGLE Model to investigate the performance of selected Indian companies before and after a merger. For the study, the Indian Overseas Bank was the only bank taken into account. In the current study, the pre-merger period is defined as the three years from 2017 to 2020, and the post-merger period is defined as the three years from 2021 to 2023. The EAGLE model is a reliable and efficient method for looking at and assessing bank performance. Multiple ratios have been constructed to study each major variable and assess performance using the EAGLE model. The results of this study show that the earning capacity of Indian Overseas Bank increased. due to its high dividend payment ratio and return on assets. The asset quality has declined, as seen by the Indian Overseas Bank. Both enhancing asset quality and reducing non-performing assets are initiatives for Indian Overseas Bank.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide, with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounting for approximately 85% of cases. The overall 5-year survival rate remains very low, necessitating new therapeutic approaches. In silico methods like molecular docking, pharmacophore modelling, quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) analyses and machine learning techniques have emerged as cost-effective and efficient strategies for streamlining the drug discovery process. This review provides a comprehensive overview of in silico strategies that have been utilized for designing novel lung cancer therapeutics, specifically against NSCLC. We summarize target proteins like epidermal growth factor receptor, anaplastic lymphoma kinase, c-MET receptor, phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha, histone deacetylases, etc. that have been explored for in silico drug discovery against NSCLC. Detailed insights into molecular docking approaches, QSAR modelling, pharmacophore-based screening, molecular dynamics simulations, and machine learning methods that are useful in silico strategies for accelerating anti-lung cancer drug design have been provided. We also critically review studies that have utilized multi-stage in silico approaches by integrating diverse strategies like pharmacophore modelling, docking and QSAR analyses. The advantages of in silico methodologies compared to conventional experimental techniques, as well as challenges and limitations, have also been highlighted. This review covers significant advances and future directions in utilizing in silico drug design against NSCLC targets.

In India, canal irrigation stands as a significant source of artificial irrigation. Numerous canals remain unlined, resulting in substantial seepage. Seepage rates of 50 to 60% are commonly observed in unlined canals. Materials such as concrete, shotcrete, and stones are typically used for canal lining. Concrete can mitigate seepage losses by up to 70%, while shotcrete can be even more effective, reducing losses by up to 90%. However, these materials require maintenance due to the occurrence of expansion and contraction cracks. HDPE sheets offer a promising solution to reduce seepage losses through cracks in concrete lining. The Indian government also offers subsidies for the use of these sheets as lining materials. Concrete and shotcrete can serve as protective coverings for HDPE, shielding it from external damage caused by stones and crawling animals. Canals featuring a combination of HDPE and concrete lining represent an optimal solution.

The presence of hazardous LPG gas leakage in a domestic, work place, also, stored gases container gas which exhibits ideal characteristic is use. For that sake, an alarm unit is used to vibrate an alarm which is buzzer. Buzzer gives an audible sign of the presence of LPG volume. The sensors are widely used to detect essence of propane, iso-butane, LPG and even smoke. The sensor has an advantage to combine a sensitivity response time. If the LPG sensor senses gas leak from work place or home, sensor output goes to active low (logic-0) condition. Arduino UNO is used in the project; low signals are overlooked by the Arduino and gas leakage is been noticed by the Arduino. The Arduino UNO turns on the LCD and buzzer. It even turns on the GSM modem after that, it continues to send messages SMS to mobile number specifically mentioned in the program of the source code for alerting danger to the people. The AGLDS offers a user-friendly interface, allowing users to monitor real-time gas concentration data remotely. Users can also configure alarm thresholds and receive historical data for analysis and reporting.
