This study looked at the relationship between social media use and sleep's quality among 167 young adults (18-21 years old) living in northern India. The sample consisted of 82 men and 82 women, with the remaining participants unknown. The researchers used the PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) and BSMAS (Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale) questionnaires. The research found a moderate positive connection (R-squared = 0.31), indicating that higher social media use is associated with lower sleep's quality. Interestingly, gender differences emerged. Men had a bigger detrimental influence on sleep from social media than women, as evidenced by a higher correlation and steeper slope in the statistical model. While the overall results were statistically significant, the data for women showed non-normal residuals, requiring caution in interpretation. These findings lend support to the hypothesis that social media use disturbs sleep in young adults, particularly in men. More research with more participants, as well as an investigation into the underlying causes of the observed gender difference, are required for a more complete understanding.

These biofuels are produced from crops and edible/non-edible materials and emit much lower pollution compared to fossil-derived fuels. Even though biofuels are effective alternatives, high operational costs with low production volume are the major limitations of this process, which the available technologies cannot handle. With increasing application of nanoparticles as catalysts in several sectors due to its unique properties such as high catalytic activity, surface to volume ratio, mechanical properties, etc., its application in biofuels production has been explored recently. Nano catalyst has superior activity in producing pure products with fewer side reactions. Agricultural waste-based heterogeneous catalysts are emerging as efficient and green catalysts. The present study explored the agricultural waste-based heterogeneous catalyst utilized in the production of biodiesel.

Hydropotentials have played a significant role in driving human civilizations on a pan-world basis. This has been evident since the days of the rise of the river valley civilizations. However, the recent anthropogenic activities propelled climate change has a footprint on the existing hydro deposits of the planet. The fast depletion of hydro deposits has emerged as a great risk to human existence and sustenance. Hydro resources are the greatest resource of mankind. The depletion and deficit of this resource generate multidimensional poverty that is difficult to fight. This paper provides a comprehensive view of the linkage between climate change-induced hydro poverty and its impact on local communities and the sustainability strategies that the communities think over. Studies on climate change and hydro scarcity are abundant. However, there is a dearth of literature relating to the socioeconomic impacts and local sustainability models in the context of the growing hydro-scarce districts of Odisha. In this context, this paper is the outcome of a study undertaken in the district of Nabarangpur of Odisha based on the field study carried on during the last two summers when parts of the district reel under acute hydro poverty and the way it has impacted the lives and livelihood of the local communities. Further, the study has tried to capture people's opinions and indigenous knowledge to develop sustainable hydro conservation and use strategies to mitigate the situation and for rightful adaptation strategies. The "go along" and "get along" tools have been used to collect the qualitative data while a standardized interview schedule is used to collect the quantitative household information about hydro use.

Cyber Security is the practice of protecting critical systems and sensitive information systems from digital attacks. Also known as information technology (IT) security, cyber security measures are designed to combat threats against network systems and applications, whether those threats originate from inside or outside of an organisation. In 2020, the average cost of a data breach was USD 3.86 million globally and USD 8.64 million in the United States. These costs include the expenses of discovering and responding to the breach because of downtime and lost revenue, and the long-term reputational damaged to a business and its brand. Cybercriminals target customers' personally identifiable information (PII) - name, addresses, national identification number (e.g., Social Security number in the US, fiscal codes in Italy), and credit card information - and then sale these records in underground digital marketplaces. Compromised PII often leads to a loss of customer trust, the imposition of regulatory fines, and even legal action. Security system complexity, created by disparate technologies and a lack of in- house expertise, can amplify these costs. But organizations with a comprehensive cyber security strategy., governed by best practices and automated using advance analytics, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, can fight cyber threats more effectively and reduce the lifecycle and impact of breaches when they occur. Cyberspace is becoming more complex and we need continuous innovation to keep the space secure and resilient to threats. Indigenous solutions, in-house expertise and startup eco-system needs to be created to reduce dependence on foreign products and solutions for securing our critical infrastructure and defense installations. National Cyber Security Coordinator Dr Gulshan Rai stressed in a conference of cyber security upon the areas of strategic importance including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Virtual reality & augmented reality, Internet of things (IOT) which would be the backbone of the country in future.

Abstract The COVID-19 epidemic has led to a surge in digitalization in several fields, including corporate governance. Due to the pandemic, a number of digitalization initiatives were done out of need rather than strategy, which prevented them from potentially undergoing the thorough regulatory review that would be required in other situations. This article intends to provide with a fresh perspective on how emerging technologies, including blockchain, smart contracts, big data, algorithms, and artificial intelligence, are expected to affect a company's structure on corporate governance. During this transition, businesses shifted from having a short-term emphasis to a long-term one, and they replaced their goal of maximising profits with one of creating sustained added value. Owing to the impact on the accounting function--one of the most important pillars supporting corporate governance--digitalization offers a more developed framework for responsibility and accountability by guaranteeing the timely, accurate, and transparent information stakeholders require. On the other hand, this transition has also made a significant rise to the number of cyberattacks and other threats to digital security of a company. However, as interim measures have shown to be somewhat beneficial in comparison to the pre-pandemic normal, the pandemic crisis has also presented a chance to put productivity-enhancing measures into place. This article further demonstrates upon the fact that, in contrast to popular belief, one of the most important and noticeable consequences of modern technologies on businesses is how corporate bodies divide up their own duties and competencies and still protecting the pillars of their corporate governance during crisis.
