 Abstract

Cracks and dents in infrastructure pose significant risks to safety and structural integrity, necessitating accurate and efficient detection methods. Traditional manual inspection processes are often labor-intensive and prone to human error, leading to delayed defect identification and maintenance interventions. We explore the application of computer vision technology for crack and dent detection in infrastructure assets. By leveraging advanced methodologies such as holistic edge detection and feature extraction, our proposed system aims to achieve high precision in identifying and delineating surface defects. Additionally, we discuss strategies to improve image processing efficiency, optimize system performance, and enable comprehensive analysis of surface defects. The integration of computer vision technology in infrastructure maintenance not only enhances safety practices but also offers potential cost savings by facilitating proactive maintenance interventions. Through this paper, we highlight the transformative impact of computer vision-based crack and dent detection in revolutionizing infrastructure inspection practices for enhanced safety and longevity.

 Abstract

The advancement in artificial intelligence (AI), advanced image processing software empowers users with a vast array of editing tools, significantly altering how we interact with visual content. However, these advancements also present significant security concerns, especially regarding the spread of fake images on digital platforms. Combating image manipulation has become crucial in information security and multimedia applications. This paper addresses this critical issue by examining two main categories of image forgery: computer-generated content manipulation and deepfakes, with a focus on the common technique of splicing/compositing images from various sources. We explore recent developments in detection and localization methods, including analyzing inconsistencies in Colour Filter Array (CFA) patterns, noise levels, and JPEG compression variations. While deep learning approaches are gaining traction, traditional computer graphics-based methods remain valuable due to their reliability. The paper identifies three key challenges in combating image manipulation: efficient feature extraction, reducing reliance on manual parameter selection, and ensuring comprehensive identification of tampered areas. To address these challenges, we propose a novel approach using Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) that leverages noise artifacts and Error Level Analysis (ELA) weighted features to improve the visibility of manipulated regions. Our contributions include a multi-phase feature enhancement technique, a Contrast-based Adaptive Histogram Equalization method, and an Adaptive threshold-based pixel-wise localization method. These methods offer promising avenues for robust tampering detection across various digital platforms.

 Abstract

Stress disorders are a common issue among working IT professionals in the industry today. With changing lifestyle and work cultures, there is an increase in the risk of stress among the employees. Though many industries and corporations provide mental health related schemes and try to ease the workplace atmosphere, the issue is far from control. In this paper, we would like to apply machine learning techniques to analyze stress patterns in working adults and to narrow down the factors that strongly determine the stress levels. A questionnaire is one of the most used methods for detecting stress. This technique relies primarily on the individual's responses. In this technique we can leverage use of the word cloud. The dataset contains text messages or documents that are labeled as either stressed or non stressed. Automatically detecting stress can lower the likelihood of the stress problems and improve society's well being. Image capturing is automated so it collects photographs whenever a typical behavior occurs. With the help of facial emotion recognition we can analyze the stress. However we consider the stress detection as a "Problem Detection" but our goal is to furnish the "Solution for the Problem '' as well. Proposed system is capable of detecting stress and providing remediation.

 Abstract

Textiles and motifs play a significant role in reflecting cultural Heritage, folk culture, and symbolism. This study contextualizes the textiles and motifs within the broader framework of folklore in context. It examines the symbolic meaning and folkloric elements embedded within selected motifs from Delhi's textile tradition. Further, it outlines the role of textiles and motifs in soft power with certain examples from the G20 summit. Examined within the theoretical frameworks from cultural studies, the research aims to unwrap the cultural, social, and economic dynamics underpinning motif symbolism, production, and circulation. By synthesizing data collected from artisan field visits, literature surveys, and secondary sources, the study presents the cultural, mythological, and economic dynamics of selected motifs such as the Paisley, Lotus, Tree of Life, Elephant, Peacock, and Parrot. The findings reveal intricate meanings and cultural significance embedded within textiles and motifs, reflecting themes such as love, fertility, wisdom, resilience, etc. The research addresses the gap in understanding the intersection of textiles and motifs not only from the perspective of aesthetics and symbolism but with deep-rooted meanings, folk cultures, identity, heritage preservation (along with innovation), and soft power dynamics; overall, the research contributes to a deeper understanding of the cultural significance of textile and motifs, shedding light on their role as symbols of culture, identity, Heritage, craftsmanship, and diplomacy.

 Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce platforms has led to an overwhelming number of choices for consumers. Product recommendation systems have become essential tools for helping users navigate the vast product space. This project aimed to develop and compare various machine learning algorithms for product recommendation and enhance the user experience by providing detailed product information. The proposed method involved the implementation of six different algorithms: Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), SVD++, Alternating Least Squares (ALS), K-Nearest Neighbors with Z-score (KNNWithZScore), User-Based Nearest Neighbors (UBNN), Item-Based Nearest Neighbors (IBNN), and a Hybrid model. Each algorithm was evaluated based on several performance measures including RMSE, MAE, Precision, Recall, F1-score, Fit Time, and Test Time. The SVD++ model demonstrated superior performance and was selected for the final implementation. To make the recommendations more user-friendly, web scraping was employed to retrieve detailed product information such as name, description, properties, image, and product listing URL. The results suggest that the SVD++ model, combined with detailed product information, provides an effective and user-friendly product recommendation system. This project contributes to the ongoing efforts to enhance user experience on e-commerce platforms and paves the way for future research in personalized recommendation systems.

 Abstract

This research investigates the interplay between Big Five personality traits and mood regulation strategies facilitated by music. Utilizing the Mini-IPIP questionnaire, participants' levels of Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness were assessed. Mood regulation strategies were evaluated through the Brief Mood Regulation through Music (BMMR) scale, covering dimensions such as Entertainment and Mood Maintenance, Revival, Strong Sensation, Diversion, Discharge, Mental Work, and Solace. Pearson correlation coefficients were computed to analyze the relationships between personality traits and mood regulation dimensions. The results unveiled significant positive correlations between Extraversion, Conscientiousness, and Openness to Experience with various mood regulation aspects. Furthermore, regression analyses highlighted Openness as a significant predictor across several dimensions, including Entertainment and Mood Maintenance, Revival, Strong Sensation, and Mental Work. These findings underscore the role of personality traits in influencing individuals' preferences for mood regulation strategies via music, providing valuable insights into the complex dynamics between personality and emotional regulation.
