 Abstract

Abstract: Shashi Deshpande, a prominent figure in Indian English literature, intricately weaves the complexities of family dynamics into her narratives, offering a rich tapestry for psychoanalytic exploration. This research paper delves into Deshpande's literary oeuvre through a psychoanalytic lens, aiming to uncover the subconscious motivations, conflicts, and interpersonal relationships within her characters and their familial contexts. Drawing upon psychoanalytic theories pioneered by Freud, Jung, and others, this study examines Deshpande's portrayal of family structures, parent-child relationships, sibling dynamics, and marital bonds. It explores how her characters' behaviors, desires, and anxieties stem from deep-seated psychological factors, often shaped by familial experiences and societal expectations. Through a close analysis of select works such as "The Dark Holds No Terrors," "That Long Silence," "A Matter of Time" and "Small Remedies," this paper illuminates the recurring themes of identity formation, repression, trauma, and the search for autonomy within familial confines. It also explores the manifestation of Oedipal and Electra complexes, unresolved childhood traumas, and the intergenerational transmission of psychological patterns in Deshpande's narratives. Furthermore, this study examines how Deshpande's exploration of gender roles, patriarchy, and cultural norms intersect with psychoanalytic concepts, shedding light on the power dynamics within families and their impact on individual psyches. It also considers the role of memory, dreams, and symbolism in revealing the unconscious conflicts and desires of her characters. By employing a psychoanalytic framework, this paper offers new insights into Deshpande's exploration of family dynamics, highlighting the universal human experiences of love, loss, longing, and self-discovery that resonate deeply across cultural and geographical boundaries. It underscores the enduring relevance of psychoanalytic perspectives in understanding the intricate interplay between individual psyches and familial relationships depicted in Deshpande's literary works.

 Abstract

In agriculture, the quality of seeds is a critical factor that directly impacts crop yield and overall agricultural productivity. It is necessary to select a good quality seed to get a good yield. The process of manual separation of quality seed is complicated. The existing system uses a basic data analysis of the seed using an image dataset. Due to more technical procedures, it is not easily accessible by our farmers. This system is proposed to be easily accessible and reachable to all farmers. One of the main challenges is to propose a cost-efficient and moderately weighing system. In this system, we have developed an IoT-based seed quality testing system that will categorize the seeds under two quality categories: (i) good and (ii) bad. This system leverages IoT technology to monitor and analyze key parameters that determine seed quality, such as the seed's color, shape, and moisture content. The IoT devices are equipped with an ESP 32 camera module which will capture the images of the seed and it will be applied to our machine learning model for classification. Based on the result the seed will be separated by the servo motor attached to the prototype allowing real-time data collection and analysis.

 Abstract

A camshaft is a mechanical rotary element used in IC engines. The crankshaft is responsible for the rotation of the camshaft with the help of various gear trains or idler gear. The main function of the camshaft is to convert the rotary motion of the crankshaft into a reciprocating motion and transfer it to the opening and closing valve in order to supply fuel to the combustion chamber. The performance of the camshaft mainly depends upon the proper design and material used in the camshaft. So, it is very important to select the proper material for the camshaft by which the efficiency of the IC engine can be improved. The material used for automobile camshafts is chilled cast iron and it has comparatively better mechanical properties when compared with similar segment metals. But in this modern world, it's all about competition and more efficiency. In the present work, other two different materials are considered, MMC composite (Al-Sic) and Nitriding Steel-EN40B. There are various materials used for camshafts hence the main aim of the project is to select the perfect material for a camshaft by performing finite element analysis on it. The project is mainly focused on the variation of stress on the camshaft on different materials. A comparison will be made at the end to find the best material for the camshaft. Geometry with the exact dimension of a two-wheeler camshaft is considered and using SolidWorks it is designed, the finite element analysis is carried out using ANSYS maximum stress, and fluctuating load (harmonic loading) is tested for all three materials with respective properties.

These days, the demand for skin care products and treatments has increased to a larger extend. Having a proper appearance and a beauty standard has gotten a lot of importance. A typical skin care routine consists of a cleanser, a serum, a moisturizer and a sunscreen. Among these, it has been seen that the serums are the new go to when it comes to building an excellent skin routine. Serums come in various types of formulation be it for oily, dry or anything in between type of skin. Facial wrinkles and skin aging are undesirable outcome of photo damage and ultraviolet (UV) rays. Currently no effective strategies are available to delay skin aging process. Aloe Vera, glycerin and honeybee venom face serum is a highly concentrated cosmetic product. When using aloe Vera we get not only a quick cosmetic effects but also psychological satisfactions, serum has a property of rapid absorption and ability to penetrate into deeper layer of the skin. Aloe Vera gel is commonly used to treat different skin disease, sun burn, minor cuts, insect bites, and used as wound healing, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal effect.. The face serum was evaluated for its physiochemical parameters, pH, globule size, consistency. The stability study results showed that there was no change in visual appearance, homogeneity and globule size.

 Abstract

There are wide varieties of Conveyor systems are in use in industries for moving materials from one location to another. But the one which we designed here is a unique conveyor belt that generates electric energy without any additional mechanism. In general, any conveyor belt system uses metal drums or rollers to move the belt, out of so many, one roller will be coupled with the shaft of drive motor and it is called as power drive roller and the remaining rollers are idle. If a dynamo is attached to the idle roller, it generates electric energy without any extra efforts. Since idle rollers may be plenty according to the length of conveyer belt, all of them can be constructed with dynamos. But since it is a prototype model, little length of conveyor belt mechanism will be constructed with two roller drums for demo purpose. One roller is made as power driven and the other one is made as power generator. The power-driven roller is constructed with 60 RPM DC motor, and power generator motor is built with 100 RPM motor and this motor is used as dynamo. To increase shaft speed of 100 Rpm motor, spur gears are used. Another important aspect of the system is that the mechanism is made as automatic such that by sensing the object put over the belt, then only the belt will be moved and otherwise it remains in off condition. The object can be a small carton box and the sensing circuit is constructed with IR sensors. 89c51 microcontroller chip is used to control the mechanism. The dc motor used to generate the power can generate little energy which can be used to charge a low power battery of 4v. To prove whether we are getting energy or not, hear a small LED lamp load built with 10 high glow LED's is used. Mode switch is used to select either lamp load or charging option.

 Abstract

: Virtual reality has been one of the most fascinating and trending topics in the areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Aircanvas has been one of the best ways to interact with the software and increase the communication between the operating system and the user. This reduces the manual work in operating the computer and prevents the dependency of educational institutions on expensive hardware. This project is based on Human Computer Interaction. This project consists of three modules: firstly, the aircanvas module, airvolume module and aircursor module which collectively controls all the functionalities of a computer just by using hand gestures. The project involves recognition of fingertips and projectory tracking to record the direction in which the hand moves.

 Abstract

This research project explores the application of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks in predicting stock market movements and compares its performance against the Prophet model, a popular time series forecasting tool. The project delves into the theoretical foundations of LSTM networks, elucidating their architecture and working principles, with a focus on their ability to capture both short-term fluctuations and long-term dependencies within sequential data. Historical stock price data from Yahoo Finance are collected and pre-processed, ensuring data quality and compatibility with the LSTM and Prophet models. Through a comprehensive experimental evaluation, the LSTM model's predictive accuracy and performance metrics, such as Mean Squared Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), are assessed and compared with those of the Prophet model. The results of the comparative analysis shed light on the strengths and limitations of each model, offering valuable insights into their efficacy and suitability for stock market prediction tasks. This project contributes to the ongoing discourse at the intersection of deep learning and finance, guiding practitioners and researchers seeking to leverage advanced machine learning techniques for forecasting financial markets.
