The beginning of civilization, human beings have worshiped plants and such plants are conserved as a genetic resource and used as food, fodder, fibre, fertilizer, fuel, febrifuge and in every other way. Calotropis gigantea is one such plant. In this review the systematic position, vernacular names, vegetative characters, Ecology and distribution, phytochemistry and the economical values of the Calotropis gigantea are discussed. Calotropis gigantea (L.) Dryand (Giant milk weed; family Asclepiadaceae) has been traditionally used in the treatment of bronchitis, asthma, leprosy, eczema and elephantiasis. This review emphasizes on ethnopharmacology, chemical constituents and pharmacology of C. gigantea. The available information on C. gigantea was collected through electronic search of major scientific databases. A survey of literature revealed that cardenolides, flavonoids, terpenoids, glycosides, steroids and nonprotein amino acid constitute major groups of chemical constituents in C. gigantea. The plant has been evaluated for varied pharmacological activities, and reported to exhibit analgesic, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-pyretic,anti-inflammatory, insecticidal, cytotoxic, hepatoprotective, pregnancy interceptive, procoagulant and wound healing activities. Further, thorough scrutiny of literature revealed a startling fact that clinical reports are not available on the plant. The pharmacological work carried out on the plant for validation of its traditional claims is not convincing as crude extracts used in experimental studies have not been characterized. It is concluded that C. gigantea is a medicinally promising plant, which needs to be exploited systematically. The plant could provide therapeutically active constituents, which may be developed as clinically potential drugs

This study has been undertaken to investigate the framework of cultural resistance as found in the story of Hansda Sowvendra Shekhar. Shekhar belongs to the Santhal community of Jharkhand. Most of his works are written from the very experiences of his community. In the story, The Adivasi Will Not Dance the writer has exposed the voice of resistance through the protagonist Mangal Murmu, a musician and a farmer. He has a troupe of musicians and singers. He feels pride in his art which represents his community. It is sacred to his community. His community represents the Adivasi culture of Jharkhand. But in return, they find nothing- only fearful disease and displacement. All the opportunities in education, job, and other fields go fast to Diku (outsiders). So, on a specially arranged program by a businessman on their land, Mangal Murmu with his troupe resist not dancing on the stage in front of the then President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.

When we think of crime, our minds often conjure up images of murder, theft, robbery, rape, or assault - crimes that are more visible and sensational. However, the narrow perception of crime solely in terms of these violent acts overlooks the reality of economic and corporate offences, commonly known as white-collar crimes. These types of crimes are often complex and technical in nature, and do not require physical presence for their commission. According to Australian criminologist John Braithwaite, corporate crimes can be defined as "the conduct of a corporation or its employees, acting on behalf of the corporation, which is prohibited and punishable by law." Corporate crimes have indirect effects on the public, and dealing with them in court can be challenging as determining appropriate penalties for corporations can be perplexing. This paper delves into the position of Indian jurisprudence on corporate offences and the ongoing debate around their decriminalization. The authors also highlight the impact of corporate crimes on the general public and the role of corporate governance in their commission and prevention. The paper sheds light on the fact that corporate offences are not victimless crimes, and their consequences can be far-reaching, affecting not only shareholders and investors but also employees, consumers, and the overall socio-economic fabric of society. The complexities involved in prosecuting corporate crimes and imposing penalties are also discussed, as the technical nature of these offences can make it difficult to hold corporations accountable. The paper emphasizes the need to recognize the seriousness of corporate offences and to ensure effective deterrence against corporate misconduct. It also explores the concept of decriminalization of corporate offences, considering the pros and cons of such an approach. While some argue that decriminalization may reduce the burden on the criminal justice system and facilitate ease of doing business, others caution against diluting the deterrence effect of criminal sanctions. The role of corporate governance in preventing and addressing corporate offences is also examined, as strong corporate governance practices can play a crucial role in minimizing the risk of corporate misconduct. In conclusion, this paper highlights the need for a nuanced and balanced approach towards corporate offences in India. It underscores the importance of acknowledging the impact of white-collar crimes on society, and the need for effective mechanisms to hold corporations accountable for their actions. The paper calls for further research and discussion on the topic to arrive at a comprehensive and well-informed approach towards addressing corporate offences in India while upholding the principles of fairness and justice.

Abstract Three classes of compounds inhibit prostaglandin synthetase. The first group consists of the substrate analogues. The specificity of these analogues is unknown but many possess good inhibitory potency which makes them useful tools to demonstrate the involvement of the synthetase enzyme. However, although they are active in some organised tissue preparations, their use in vivo has not been widespread. The absorption, excretion and distribution of these fatty acids is not yet fully understood and this tends to detract from their usefulness in whole animal work. Apart from the substrate analogues a number of other fatty acids also inhibit the synthetase but probably in a non-specific manner and only in high concentrations.

Mustard is the common name for several herbaceous plants in the genera Brassica and Sinapis of the Brassicaceae family, and in particular Sinapis hirta or Sinapis alba (White or yellow mustard; sometimes classified in Brassica), Brassica juncea (Brown or Indian mustard), and Brassica nigra (Black mustard), all three of which produce small mustard seeds that can be used as a spice and, by grinding and mixing them with water, vinegar, or other liquids be turned into a condiment also known as mustard. The seeds are also pressed to make mustard oil, and the edible leaves can be eaten as mustard greens. The term mustard sometimes is used as a collective name for all members of the genus Brassica (a taxon that also includes cabbage, turnip, reddish and other well-known vegetables) and Brassicaceae is sometimes known as the "mustard family." Mustard has been called the third most important spice after salt and pepper. With a use dating to prehistoric times, the plants have been spread by spice traders and conquering armies and have spawned an industry in many nations. The sharp stimulating flavor of products made from the seeds offers a unique joy to humans, who have used their creativity to develop many varieties to suit different tastes and uses.

Information systems are regularly susceptible to a wide range of threats that can result in a wide range of harms and potentially catastrophic economic losses. Little losses to the total destruction of an information system are examples of information security risks. Threats can have a wide range of effects; some may compromise the integrity or confidentiality of data, whereas others could reduce a system's availability. Organizations are currently having difficulty identifying the threats to their information assets and figuring out how to get the tools they need to address them, which is a challenge. In this research paper we have proposed an IISRA methodology for identifying an organization's assets and threats. In order to assist enterprises in putting their information security strategy into practice, we have also developed taxonomy for threat categorization.

The understanding of life and literature appears to be quiet simple, but if you start looking at it closely then a large number of windows open up to give you questions, to give you issues to consider. For instance, what does life mean in the context of literature and vice a versa? Life has many faces like; human life, social life, political life, life in education, professional life, and personal life. Then we also have ideological life, cultural life, religious life, spiritual life, and life in villages, life in cities, life of a student, life of a girl student, life of a boy student, life in the hostel and other large areas of life. We always confront this type of life. I always feel what I am to do with this life that I am confronting. Literature is a composition in words or phenomena that happens in the mind of the author. The mind starts taking pictures from life and those pictures are reconstructed by the writer on the page by pen or typed in the computer. Then some script is written and that script is suppose to tell us who did it. This is what happens in life. There are certain writers who have given more to aesthetics, more to the pleasure aspect then the purpose aspect. They want to paint their experience through words and extract pleasure from it. Literature has to choose what it has to show. The write is free to show what he/she wants to share with the reader. We have literature in the form of books, in the form of oral kind of practice. We have some tellers of tales; in fact the word tale means it is told by somebody as in folk literatures. These literatures are basically meant to make the readers and viewers relaxed. Imagination is the most important element of literature. Through imagination one goes away from day to day humdrum routine of life. For this reason some people take literature lightly. In small villages I could see many homes without the literary knowledge. A certain pandit or swami delivers his speeches or some holy katha with some loose papers in his hand to the villagers. This is also a kind of literature.

Cancer can be life threatening if the tumors affect the function of the major organs. Malnutrition, a weakened immune system, and lack of oxygen support cancerous cells to grow vigorously. Cancer treatments can prevent some of these complications, as well as disease progression to its next stage.Chinese scientists discovered a new blood test that can detect five kinds of cancer up to four years before a doctor could. As we are aware of how rapidly cancerous cells divide and redivide giving rise to tumor, tests like PanSeer can reduce the cancer mortality. It is possible to detect cancer 4 years in advance, increasing the chances of survival and resisting its next stage. PanSeer is a technology which uses machine learning algorithms to detect cancer from blood samples. PanSeer is a novel blood test that has been developed to detect early-stage cancer by identifying small fragments of tumor DNA that circulate in the bloodstreamThe test effectively detects five types of cancer with high accuracy: stomach, esophageal, colorectal, lung, and liver cancer. PanSeer is an early detection test which puts together existing technologies for many different genome tests.

A sick child necessitates hospitalisation. Hospitalization is a stressful condition in which the affected person and the family members face a variety of real and imagined threats. Before and throughout their children's hospitalisation, parents endure a significant level of stress and anxiety. It may be due to different factors such as both physiological and psychological factors. It is proved that anxiety can be managed with diaphragmatic breathing exercise and other complementary therapies. The objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of diaphragmatic breathing exercise on anxiety among parents of chronically ill children. A quasi experimental (Non-equivalent pre-test- post-test control group design) was used for the present study. 50 parents of chronically ill children were select using purposive sampling technique and those who were selected for the experimental group received intervention for five days thrice in day. Before starting with the intervention pre-test was carried out to assess the anxiety of the parents.at the end of the fifth day post-test was carried out to assess the effectiveness of diaphragmatic breathing exercise on anxiety. Descriptive and inferential statistics was used to analyse the data and to assess the effectiveness of diaphragmatic breathing exercise on anxiety. All the parents before the administration of diaphragmatic breathing exercise had high levels of anxiety. After the administration of diaphragmatic breathing exercise level of anxiety has decreased significantly (t24=11.85, p=0.001). There was a significant difference in the level of anxiety among the parents of chronically ill children between experimental and control groups (t48=10.24, p=0.001). There was a significant association between the pre intervention anxiety score and birth order of children in the control group (p=0.02). Interpretation, conclusion and finding of the present study has shown diaphragmatic breathing exercise was effective in the reduction of anxiety among the parents of chronically ill children.

Emails are frequently utilized as a way of personal and professional communication. Banking information, credit reports, login data, and other sensitive personal information are commonly transmitted over email. This makes them valuable to cybercriminals, who can exploit the knowledge for their gain. Phishing is a technique used by con artists to steal sensitive information from people by impersonating well-known sources. The sender of a phished email can persuade you to disclose personal information under pretenses. The detection of a phished email is treated as a classification problem in this research, and this paper shows how machine learning methods are used to categorize emails as phished or not. SVM classifier attains a maximum accuracy of 0.998 percent in email classification. This research examines the various state-of-the-art machine learning (ML) algorithms currently used to detect phishing emails at different stages of the attack. A comparative assessment and analysis of these methodologies are performed. This provides an overview of the topic, its immediate solution space, and potential future research possibilities.

High dynamic contrast real world scenes cannot be often captured by a sensing device on a single shot. This can be overcome by representing these scenes as a series of differently exposed images. In this paper, a novel algorithm for fusing such images by using gradient information is proposed. From a set of under or over exposed images the proposed approach is capable of producing informative and complete image than any of the input image. A quality measure is used to find gradient changes among different exposed images. The gradient magnitude implies the pixel's exposure quality that decreases as image becomes under or over exposed. Hence it can be used to preserve details present in exposure sequence. Thus good information from each of the given images is fused together to form a resultant image whose quality is superior to any of the input images.
