The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of a developing country like India significantly depends on agriculture and the associated industry namely agribusiness industry. These sectors are highly vulnerable with respect to extreme weather events (EWE). It is reported in various literatures that the frequency of EWEs has been increased in recent years over the globe which affects different sectors of agriculture and living beings. Therefore, it demands an accurate prediction prior to a season which would be helpful in this direction. Deep Learning (DL) and Machine Learning (ML) approaches have been popular in the field of prediction. However, it is also proved the performance of ML and DL models varies according to the data sets. In this project work, several ML and DL models such as Linear regression, Decision tree regression, Random Forest regressor, and Neural Network will be used for comparison of the performance in accurate prediction. For this purpose, temperature data of India at a monthly scale spanning over 1901-2015 considered for the analysis. Towards end of the project, the best model will be chosen and will be used for prediction of temperature at monthly scale. Further, significant effort will be given for the development of new strategy which can predict the extreme events.

Abstract: The study was undertaken to determine the various menopausal symptoms prevalent among post menopausal women. Interview schedule method was used to collect the data from post menopausal women from Chennai and subjected to statistical analysis. The results showed that under somatic symptoms, headache was present in every woman and the psychological symptoms such as anxiety, irritation, mood swing and depression were more widely prevalent and among the climacteric symptoms palpitation was present in majority of post menopausal women under the study.

Radiation therapy uses ionizing radiation to kill cancer cells but it has adverse side effects. Some radioprotective drugs can reduce the damage in healthy tissue caused by radiation. But nowadays, with the great interest in development of nanotechnology in the biological field, the multifunctional nanoparticles not only establish powerful drug delivery systems to improve the molecular radioprotective drugs, but also open a new route to develop radioprotective agents because some nanoparticles possess intrinsic radioprotective abilities. The purpose of this paper is to review the different types of nanoparticles as radioprotectors. In this review paper we also review the metallic and biological nanoparticles, which protect normal tissue from the side effects of radiation.

Abstract: Teaching aids are considered as backbone of teaching learning process. To make teaching learning more effective, interesting, dynamic and suitable the uses of aids are most essential. Generally in our traditional classroom chalk, blackboard, maps globs charts duster are used as a teaching aids. But according to the changing scenario of education the changing of teaching aids also an need of an hour. So regarding this context an attempt was made by the researcher to see whether the educational institutes specially located in some rural areas are able to uses the innovative teaching aids effectively. Data were collected from 150 students from three institutes by using self structured questionnaire.

Introduction: Palliative care is patient centered approach to improve quality of life for both patients facing life threatening illnesses and also for their families. Objectives: To assess the effect of computer assisted instruction on Knowledge & attitude regarding palliative care among final year B.Sc. nursing students. Methodology: Quantitative approach with quasi experimental design was used & samples were final year B.Sc. nursing students selected through non-probability convenient sampling. Data has collected through structured questionnaire to assess knowledge, Likert scale to assess attitude. Pilot study followed by actual data collection was done & analyzed using descriptive & inferential statistics. Result: Statistical analysis shows that the pre-test mean knowledge score is 8.21 whereas the mean post-test score is 16.39. Wilcoxon signed rank test gives p value as 0.000 that has high significant as p<0.001. The mean difference in pre-test & post-test knowledge mean score was 8.18 in the experimental group whereas in control group it was 0.34. Wilcoxon signed rank test indicate that the difference in the mean score of experimental group was statistically significant than that of control group with the p value 0.00, i.e. p< 0.001 in the experimental group. Significant difference in the attitude mean score of both the groups i.e.,109.96 in experimental group & 64.39 in control group. A greater difference in mean score was observed in the experimental group. Wilcoxon sign rank test indicate that difference in mean score of experimental group was statistically significant than that of control group with p value 0.00 that is p<0.001 in experimental group. Hence, computer assisted instruction was more effective in improving knowledge & attitude regarding palliative care among Nursing students. Discussion: Finding revealed that computer assisted instruction is effective in improving knowledge & attitude regarding care of patients with tracheostomy.
