 Abstract

The effect of doses of black pepper, black cumin, garlic and methi powder against pulse beetle and recorded the highest adult mortality (83%), lowest number of eggs (42%), numbers of adult emergence (11.11%) and amount of weight loss (29.00 %) when gram seeds were treated with black pepper powder at 1.00 g/kg. The efficacy of four plant extracts viz., Clove, Sehjan, Ajwain and Ginger against Fusarium solani at 10%, 25% and 50% concentrations. Among all four plant extracts tested, Clove was found to be most effective against Fusarium solani on Third, Fifth and Seventh day at 50% concentration and conquered the colony growth by 100% compared to control. Different bacterial species and the amount of clove oil used and observed that Ralstonia solanacearum was the most sensitive when 50 ?l of clove oil was used in our agar diffusion assay. Tomato and Geranium plants grown in R. solanacearum-infested soils pre-treated with 0.5% clove oil were significantly taller and produced significantly more root and above-ground plant tissues than their untreated control. Geranium plants grown in R. solanacearum-infested soils treated with 0.5% clove oil produced similar number of flowering stalks to those in bacterium-free soil with or without clove oil treatment.

 Abstract

Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases that is due to a high level of sugar in the blood for a long period of time. People with diabetes are also more likely to have many other conditions to raise the risk of heart disease. Diabetes and heart disease are the two most complex diseases that are globally affecting many peoples in society. According to WHO, the report says the diabetes patients list has been increasing day by day and due to diabetes 1.6 million deaths was caused in the year 2016 and by 2030 approximately 700 million peoples will be affected by diabetes worldwide. Therefore early prediction of diabetes is very necessary for that Data mining has played a main role in the field of diabetes and heart disease research. The main objective of this paper is to predict diabetes and heart disease which help doctors and many other medical practitioners to predict the disease before it occurs.

 Abstract

Projects within the development sector is characterized as fragmented, temporary and sophisticated which inherently brings upon risk exposure. Decision makers within the industry need reliant access to information and knowledge so as to manage risks during a sufficient and systematic way. Thus, the implementation of an efficient risk management in reference to managing associated project risk knowledge may facilitate successful construction project endeavors. The purpose of this master thesis is to explore and evaluate project risk management within the Swedish housing industry, with the stress on the attitude of Swedish contractors. The aim is to look at the popularity and practical adoption of risk management so as to investigate how project knowledge is employed within the process. The methodology consists of a literature review on risk management fundamentals, the various risk attitudes and knowledge management in reference to risk. Data collection and analysis are based on a mixed method approach during which conclusions are made in reference to theoretical groundwork. The empirical data is collected through the usage of a web survey and in-depth semi structured interviews with key professionals within the Swedish housing industry. The results from this research indicate that theoretical models and processes for risk management is fairly unknown within the industry, analogous methods are used within respective organizations but the sharing of definitions and ideas within the industry are absent and therefore the methods aren't as structured as described in risk management theory. However, findings suggest that the perception of actors within the industry regarding risk and therefore the risk management process is one among high importance for obtaining project objectives. Furthermore, findings indicate that the interplay between knowledge- and risk management and therefore the incorporation of those processes is underutilized among the contractors and developers.

 Abstract

Due to rapid industrialization, the waste products are also being generated in huge quantity which occupies large quantity of precious land as well as creating environmental problems. Recycled Concrete Aggregates (RCA) which is generated as a part of Construction and Demolition material is a type of waste product. In the same way, Blast furnace slag is also a waste product of steel production. As the construction of pavements requires a massive amount of aggregates, the replacement of part of fresh aggregates with mixture of Recycled Concrete Aggregates (RCA) and Blast furnace slag will be very advantageous considering the dearth of fresh aggregates. Therefore, an attempt has been made in the present study to determine the optimum proportion of Recycled Concrete Aggregates (RCA) and Blast furnace slag as Base material in pavement. The main objective of the study is to select the best possible percentage to increase the bearing capacity of sub base granular layer. The cost of construction of the pavement is considerably decreases if locally available low cost materials are used in the construction of sub base, sub grade etc. The design of pavement is based on the minimum specified structural quality of the soil that will be achieved for each layer of material. Each layer must resist shearing and avoid too many deflections that cause fatigue. It is also used to decrease the compressibility and permeability of the soil mass and to increase its shear strength. As the quality of the soil is increased, the ability to distribute the load is increased so that a drop in the thickness of the soil is also permitted. Use of by- products is also a way to protect environment from the harmful effects of recycled aggregates and blast furnace slag as they are required to be dumped in open grounds or beneath the surface which affects the natural formation of the soil and degrades the surface. In this research various laboratory tests like atterberg limits, proctor test and CBR i.e California bearing ratio test is performed and the best possible combination of the required proportion is selected.

 Abstract

Gone were the days where the traditional technique of recruitment would suffice to appoint potential talents. But, for a long time, the recruitment system has witnessed a sea of alternate due to the introduction of the web and its proliferation. Earlier the organization had the power all through the job search, however in the current trend; candidates have a ways greater power in the course of the job search. The potential candidates had been viewed to be the employee in the past, however, the whole center of attention has modified and the candidates are being handled as customers. This dramatic change is all due to the altering phenomena of the web and its tremendous coverage in growing countries.

Abrasive Water Jet is an innovation process which proves to be a good solution for cutting, drilling, polishing for various materials. Abrasive Water Jet Machining is extensively used in many industrial applications. Abrasive Water Jet Machine is non-conventional machining process. The material removal process in mainly by erosion where material removal rate by impact of high pressure, high velocity of water and high girt abrasive. In work piece now there are many parameters affect in machined surface to be cut by abrasive water jet machine. The effect of material thickness, traverse speed and abrasive mass flow rate during abrasive water jet cutting of aluminium on surface roughness were investigated. Surface roughness was measured across of depth of cut. The experimental results show that poor surface roughness at bottom of cut.  Abstract

Socioeconomic status in rural areas is gradually improving over a period of time. Many programmers and policies have been implemented to improve the socioeconomic status of the population in rural areas. Socioeconomic status in rural areas is gradually improving over a period of time. But in an economic sense, people of the rural areas could not develop equally. This study is conducted in four of the village in Waghodia block of Vadodara District, Gujarat. In this entire study, a total of 50 respondents from four villages have been taken with the help of survey methods and google forms with a suitable questionnaire. This study analyses the socio-economic condition of the villages of the Waghodia block. Even within a small village, different types of economic classes are found. From the data of 50 respondents from these four villages, I came to know that all these particular villages that I study are well developed in terms of availability of drinking water, primary schools, and electricity but they lack medical facilities in case of emergency. But they get their medical facility from the nearby private hospital like Parul Sevashram, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, and SSG hospital. The roads and connectivity of these villages are good in conditions but they faced difficulties during the monsoon season. The dry shelter of keeping the livestock and availability of electricity is also major issues during monsoon.

 Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in India over the last two decades, rising internet and mobile phone penetration has changed the way we communicate and do business. While e-commerce is rapidly spreading around the world, the food industry also began to take its place in this growing area. Online food ordering is the process of food delivery or takeout from a local restaurant or food cooperative through a web page or app. Much like ordering consumer goods online, many of these services allow customers to keep accounts with them in order to make frequent ordering convenient. A customer will search for a favourite restaurant, usually filtered via type of cuisine and choose from available items, and choose delivery or pick-up. Payment can be amongst others either by credit card, debit card or cash, with the restaurant returning a percentage to the online food company. This study attempts to know the socio economic profile of the respondents and to find out the factors influencing the buying decisions towards online food ordering portals.

 Abstract

This paper explains the validity of the Capital Asset Pricing Model in the Bank Nifty Index and tests whether the expected returns align with the actual returns of each of the companies in the Bank Nifty Index. The data is collected from NSE India for the collection of data pertaining to the Bank Nifty Index, Ace Analyzer with respect to each of the companies within the index and historical data of the 91 day T-bill rates collected from the RBI website for the calculation of the risk free rate. The analysis of the collected data is done using Descriptive Statistics, Regression, One-way ANOVA test, CAPM and Correlation. With the help of the analysis done, researchers can do further study on the findings which is open to further interpretation and investors can analyze the market behavior pertaining to the Bank Nifty Index companies exactly when the Indian Stock Market crashed due to the outbreak of the Corona virus in March 2020. This study finds that the Capital Asset Pricing Model does not do justice to all the companies in the Bank Nifty Index as explained even in the previously published articles that have done similar tests which can be observed in the literature review. It is assumed that the companies with less deviation between the actual mean returns and the CAPM based calculation of the expected returns of the companies calculated, the valid is the applicability of the Capital Asset Pricing Model in this particular industry. In conclusion, it can be said that since CAPM is based on historical data collected, investors should not only base their investments on these calculations but also consider Technical analysis and study the present market conditions while investing. If they are only considering historical analysis, they should not use the basic Capital asset pricing model but consider its evolutions instead.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Prevalence of placenta pravia is found to vary between 0.5% of all pregnancies. Placenta pravia is one of the major cause of antepartum hemorrhage and is also important cause of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality in India. Method: This is retrospective study conducted in department of OBG, G.G.G hospital, Shree M.P Shah medical college - Jamnagar for a period of 5 years from January 2016 to January 2021. All cases of placenta previa during pregnancy admitted during this period were included in the study. All case records were obtained from medical record section and carefully analysed to find out the incidence, various type of placenta previa, its clinical presentation and its outcomes in relation to mode of delivery, birthweight and maternal and perinatal morbidity. Result: The prevalence of placenta previa of 0.27% and was more commonly present among multiparous women 73%. Most common type was type 3 placenta previa(37.6 %) in cases followed by type marginal (28 %), out of 125 cases 17 had atonic PPH (13.6%) managed by medical and surgical method, 4 cases(2.6%) had found complete placenta previa with morbidly adherent placenta(placenta accreta) with hemorrhagic shock and underwent cesarean hystrectomy. All cases of perinatal mortality were between 28 to 30 week weighting 1- 1.5kg associated with complete placenta previa in 4 cases and in type 3 (incomplete) in 3 cases. There was no maternal mortality in this study. Conclusion: Managing a cases of placenta previa during pregnancy poses a great challenge to every obstetrician in present day obstetrics due its increased risk of maternal and perinatal complications.
