The present paper is aimed to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic achievement of B.Ed. teacher trainees. It also studies the emotional intelligence of students with high, average and low academic achievement. A sample of 120 B.Ed. teacher trainees selected randomly from B.Ed. colleges affiliated to Bangalore University was the subject of present study. The researchers used Rating scale to assess the emotional intelligence of B.Ed. teacher trainees and for academic achievement the marks obtained by the semester I examination of B.Ed. course. Data collected were analyzed statistically by using Karl Pearson Product-Moment coefficient of correlation and ‘t’ test. The findings of the study revealed that emotional intelligence is significantly positive and correlated with the academic achievement. The teacher trainees with high emotional intelligence scored better in academic achievement than the teacher trainees with low emotional intelligence.

Reliance on coal as an energy source has led to significant by product management relegated to the storage or disposal of fly ash generated as a result of combustion. Disposal of the ash is a major source of environmental pollution in the areas surrounding the production and disposal site. Therefore an inexpensive by product management technology is needed for the environmentally safe disposal or storage of this material until beneficial uses for this by product are developed. Fly ash has shown quite effective absorbent capacity for COD reduction from the domestic waste water though its capacity lower than that of the activated carbon, The low material cost makes it an attractive option for the treatment of domestic waste water. Hence in the present study was undertaken to identify fly ash as an alternative treatment source. The efficacy of continuous reactor for COD reduction using fly ash with the help of hydraulic free jet was studied .for this purpose a system of standardized continuous reactor under steady state conditions is used to study the effect of this media .for a fixed residence time ,absorbent dose ,pH of the media, and initial COD concentration ,percentage reduction in COD was evaluated. It was found that about 84 percentage reduction in COD Could be achieved under controlled conditions.

Background: Kinetic chain exercises have been used in the symptomatic relief of symptoms in patients with knee osteoarthritis but the impact of these exercises on the primary structure getting involved in osteoarthritis i.e. articular cartilage, still needs to be investigated. Material & Method: 60 subjects in the age range of 40-70 years and satisfying the inclusion and exclusion criteria were made part of study and were divided into two groups of 30 subjects each. Group A received open kinetic chain and group B received combination of open and closed kinetic chain exercises. Baseline readings were noted down of pain, ROM of flexion and cartilage health parameters of clarity, interface and thickness using sonography. Exercise protocol was given for 3 times per week for 12 weeks. Results: The cartilage clarity and interface was presented as frequency distribution of subjects in different grades. The findings of paired t-test showed that there was statistically significant improvement in pain, quality of life and cartilage thickness at sulcus aspect of left knee in group A and medial and lateral aspect left and right knee respectively of group B. The findings of unpaired t-test suggested significant difference in cartilage thickness at lateral aspect of right knee and sulcus aspect of left knee and statistically non-significant difference of all other parameters between the two groups. Conclusion: The findings were indicative that kinetic chain exercises are an effective in managing clinical symptoms associated with knee osteoarthritis but they have inconsistent effect on the articular cartilage health.

No study of a society is considered complete without a reference to the position of women in it. The position of women in a society reflects the cultural level, mental refinement and the standard of its civilization. An attentive study of the sources related to modern history of Kashmir lend us to hold that common believed less in gender discrimination particularly in context of work culture. We find abundance of information regarding Kashmiri women working side by side with their male partners in different disciplines of life. In this case, Kashmiri hanji women occupies highest place. In this paper the researchers will highlight the role played by the Hanji women in the economic sphere of the life. The condition of fisherwomen of Kashmir is corroborated both by folk literature and conventional sources. The researchers had utilised both the sources to understand the question properly.

At the time of independence there were regional disparities in development in India. For a diverse and large country like India the objective of the planned process of development was to achieve the goal of balanced regional development so that national unity and integrity can be maintained along with economic advancement of the country. The motive was to create conditions in which resources in terms of natural endowment, skill and capital in each region are fully utilized. But the even after planned efforts and motives the regional disparities at inter-state level have increased with the successive five year plans. Some states have moved forward and others have remained backward due to differential rates of advancement in different sectors. The main objective of the present paper is to describe the magnitude of inter-state disparities over the period of time.

Psychiatrist notice, that there has been an increase in the number of people visiting them with an increase in the awareness about mental health. Stress, anxiety and its effect have been felt by the fast changing society due to fatigue. People trying to cope with the changes within the nature of work they are involved. Also Depression has been the common reason why people come to a psychiatrist. The large young population work in shifts and these frequent rotational shifts create many psychological problems for them when they try to adjust their job responsibility with the social demands of their concerns. Stress, anxiety, depression and fatigue are well-known psychological parameters in young working generation which are also found here. Yoga is considered as the best remedy for these psychological disorders. It has various gentle asanas, pranayama, and relaxation techniques. Two groups of 40-40 (experimental and control) subjects (18-35 years) were randomly selected for study from a call center in New Delhi. Yogic management programme consisted of regulated breathing, physical postures (asanas) and relaxation for 45 minutes 5 days weekly over a period of 2 months. Psychological characteristics were assessed by using Eight State Questionnaire (8SQ) before (at zero time) and after yogic intervention (after 2 months). Significant reductions were shown for stress (p<0.05), depression (p<0.05), anxiety (p<0.01), and in fatigue (p<0.05) was observed in the experimental group (yoga group). There was no significant change (p>0.05) in any parameters in the control group (non-yoga group). This yogic management programme is considered useful for the young employee who work in rotational shifts and are suffering from psychological problems which might create problem in their future.

The concept of complete graphs with real life application was introduced in and the Forbidden pairs and the existence of a dominating cycle was introduced . In this paper, we introduce a new domination parameter called Restrained girth domination number , that is, if all the edges of the girth(cycle) graph are the edges of any other cycles in a graph G and let G is a connected graph then is the girth graph of G if . A subset S of V of a non trivial graph G is called a dominating set of G if every vertex in V-S is adjacent to at least one vertex in S. The domination number gamma(G) of G is the minimum cardinality taken over all dominating set in G. A subset S of V of any cyclic graph G is said to be a restrained girth dominating set, if every vertex in V-S is adjacent to at least one vertex of girth graph as well as another vertex in V-S is called the restrained girth dominating set. The minimum cardinality taken over all restrained girth dominating set is called the restrained girth domination number and is denoted by gamma_{rg}(G). We determine this number for some standard graphs and obtain bounds for general graphs. Its relationship with other graph theoretical parameters are also investigated.

Theory of relativity is derived in two parts Special and General. The main difference between special and general relativity is gravity. Special relativity applies to elementary particles and their interaction, describing all their physical phenomena except Gravity. General relativity explains the law of gravitation and its relation to other forces of nature. The special theory of relativity is the part of well influential theory of Relativity. This theory was an introduced a new framework for all of physics & proposed new concept of including space time as a unified entity of space and time , Time dilation, Relativity of simultaneity, Length contraction, Energy mass equivalence, Maximum speed is finite, Relativistic mass . The theory of general relativity has many surprising and counterintuitive consequences like Frame dragging, Gravitational Time dilation, Rays of light bend in the presence of gravitational field. As the result show, maximum speed is going to be finite for an any object.

Super alloy, Inconel 718 is widely used in sophisticated applications due to its unique properties designed for the engineering applications. Due to its peculiar characteristics machining of Super alloy Inconel 718 is difficult and costly. The present work is an attempt to make use of Taguchi optimization technique to optimize cutting parameters during high speed turning of Inconel 718 using tungsten carbide cutting tool. Taguchi method is a powerful Design of Experiments (DOE) tool for engineering optimization of a process. It is an important tool to identify the critical parameters and predict optimal settings for each process parameter. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is used to study the effect of process parameters and establish correlation among the cutting speed, feed and depth of cut with respect to the major mach inability factor, cutting forces such as cutting force and feed force. Validations of the modelled equations are proved to be well within the agreement with the experimental data.

With the advent of information and technology and continuously increasing demand of groundwater, remote sensing and GIS techniques has been widely used over the conventional methods. This study has been undertaken for the assessment and analysis of groundwater using remote sensing and GIS techniques. In the present study, an attempt has been made for delineating groundwater potential zones and artificial recharge zones using remote sensing and GIS in the study area. These weights are applied in a linear combination to obtain five different groundwater potential zones, namely, 'poor', 'moderate', 'good', 'very good' and 'excellent'. The groundwater potential zone map was finally verified using the well yield data of 37 pumping wells, and the result was found satisfactory. Rainfall-runoff modeling has been done using SCS curve-number-runoff method. Finally, an attempt of fluoride concentration mapping has been also made. The results indicated that about 67% area is found to lie between suitable to most suitable for runoff storage to recharge the groundwater. The GIS based output maps could be used for water harvesting and conservation plans in the area.
