 Abstract

Since the beginning of recorded history, silver has been used to heal burns, ulcers, and various bacterial diseases in the way that involves metallic silver, silver nitrate, and silver sulfadiazine. However, utilization of these silver compounds has dramatically decreased as a result of the development of several medicines. In the present work, an effortless green synthesis approach for the production of stable silver nanoparticles using the halophyte plant Nyctanthes arbor-tristis and Terminalia chebula as the reducing/stabilizing agent was reported. The obtained silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were further characterized through UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, Scanning electron microscope (SEM), and Transmission electron microscope (TEM). Using UV-vis spectrophotometer the stability and also the formation of the Ag Np was tracked. Based on the growth kinetics of gram (+) Bacillus, gram (-) E Coli, and also Aspergillus niger. NPs from both the plants showed good antimicrobial activity with T. chebula showing the best result. None of the NPs from either of the plants showed antifungal activity. T. chebula-AgNP also showed good antioxidant activity compared to Nyc-AgNPs. In our study, we also found the NPs from both plants showing good photo-catalytic degradation of malachite green than methylene blue dye, with Nyc-AgNP showing the best result.

 Abstract

The performance analysis of motor drives for feed drives in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines plays a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of machining operations. This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the motor drive system employed in CNC machines, focusing on its key parameters, such as speed control, torque response, and dynamic behavior. The research methodology involves both theoretical modeling and experimental validation to evaluate the performance of the motor drive under various operating conditions. Mathematical models are developed to describe the dynamic behavior of the motor drive system, considering factors like load disturbances, friction, and nonlinearities. Furthermore, simulation studies are conducted using advanced control algorithms to optimize the performance of the motor drive and minimize errors during machining processes. The effectiveness of these control strategies is assessed through simulations and practical implementations on CNC machining platforms.

 Abstract

Mandibular fractures are the most common among facial skeleton fractures. The causes of mandibular fractures include falls, interpersonal violence, motor vehicle accidents, pathology and iatrogenic during to other removal. Assaults are the most common cause of isolated mandible fracture. The available treatment strategies for mandibular sub condylar fracture are open or closed reduction with maxillomandibular fixation (MMF), conservative treatment that includes observation, analgesics, anti-inflammatory, soft diet and early physical therapy exercise. Closed reduction of mandibular fracture with MMF can adversely affect bone, muscle, synovial joint and periarticular connective tissues. The changes in muscle of mastication system have been documented following immobilization of mandible. The Cortical and trabecular thinning, vascular distention and increased osteoclastic activity have been described following joint immobilization. Clinical bone union in adults occurs within 4to 6 weeks. But unwanted complications after close or open reduction with MMF in fracture mandible includes bony deformities, trigeminal nerve injury, facial nerve injury, TMJ ankylosis or decrease mouth opening, changes in musculature including muscle atrophy, change in length and function with dental occlusion affection or temporomandibular joint disorder. Post fractur early Physical therapy rehabilitation is essential for achieving good outcomes that include restoration of pre occlusion, restoration of mouth opening, pain free mouth opening, full range of mandibular excursion, restoration of facial and mandibular symmetry. Condylar fractures lead to violation of articular space, inflammation and hemarthrosis which increases fibrous matrix formation and reduces mandibular movements. Adhesion of the coronoid process and hypertrophy around it, or fibrosis of the temporalis muscle, can be considered as other causes of pseudo ankylosis. The true ankylosis which results from fibrous adhesions or bony fusion is also commonly caused by trauma. The mandibular movement limitations itself may lead to a change in the synovial membrane and reduction in joint lubrication. The muscle weakness and fibrosis may lead to further jaw movement limitation and increased pain.

 Abstract

The composite material is composed of discrete reinforcement distributed in a continuous phase of matrix. In copper matrix composite (CMC) one constitutent is copper which forms network i.e. matrix phase and other constituents serve as reinforcements which are generally ceramic or non metallic hard material. Composite materials play a vital role at the present modern industrial sectors. The centre of our research emphasize the production of metal-matrix composites using the stir-casting fabrication method and preparing samples of varying percentage reinforcements (5%, 10% and 15% by mass) of Silicon Carbide and Aluminium Oxide with Copper. The major drawbacks of copper based composites are reduced conductivity and poor machinability . To overcome this, soft phase such as graphite as a additional reinforcement was used. Graphite improves the machinability of the composites and also possess excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, thereby improving the conducting capability of copper composites. These samples were tested under the hardness test ,tensile test, optical microscopy were conducted. The basic reason of metals reinforced with hard ceramic particles or fibers are improved properties than its original material in terms of strength, stiffness , hardness , electrical conductivity.

 Abstract

The most crucial financial plan that any citizen should create is a tax strategy. It lessens the cost of taxes. Tax planning is an effective and efficient method of utilising the provisions of tax legislation to lessen an assesses tax burden. As the rate of tax compliance shows a declining tendency, the State and Central Governments of the nation are currently having trouble raising tax revenue. As a result, tax preparation has become urgently necessary. The research study seeks to analyse academicians' investment habits and their level of knowledge regarding the various tax planning strategies accessible to them. The main goals are to help academicians plan their taxes and improve the rate of tax compliance. This would contribute to the greatest potential reduction in the incidence of tax. Academicians from private educational educational institutions make up the study's sample, which is drawn from the city of Bengaluru. The method of stratified sampling was modified to gather information from 100 individuals. Data collection involved the use of a structured questionnaire. The results are analysed using statistical tools like Bar graph, Pie Chart and percentage analysis, etc. The study's results show that academicians are not very familiar with different tax-saving strategies; instead, they favour investing in safe and low-risk options. Personal considerations, like the stability and safety of their families, retirement benefits, and tax avoidance and evasion are the main factors that affect their investment choices. Most respondents prefer these strategies to tax planning in order to lower their tax burden.

 Abstract

Industry 4.0, synonymous with the digitalization of production, embodies the integration of cyber-physical systems, automation and data exchange. This paradigm shift is no longer a futuristic concept but a global phenomenon embraced by manufacturing entities seeking improved performance, streamlined operations, cost reduction and greater flexibility. However, the adoption of Industry 4.0 enabling technologies presents formidable challenges, exacerbated by the absence of standardized methodologies. Barriers include a spectrum of factors such as knowledge gaps, ambiguity in quantifying investment returns, and skill gaps in the workforce. This thesis conducts a comprehensive literature review, focusing on the enabling technologies of Industry 4.0, clarifying their transformative impact on the manufacturing landscape. Furthermore, it provides a strategic project that outlines the implementation of Industry 4.0, leveraging lean Six Sigma methodologies. The strategic framework is based on the design of the Six Sigma approach for the conception of new process chains, combined with a sustained improvement regime. The choice of Lean Six Sigma is based on providing manufacturers with a sense of familiarity, thanks to their historical adoption of these principles for eliminating waste and reducing variability. Key deterrents to Industry 4.0 adoption among manufacturers include apprehension of the unknown and resistance to change, both of which can be mitigated through the integration of lean Six Sigma. The strategic roadmap of this thesis offers a comprehensive overview of the steps required for manufacturers embarking on the journey to adopting Industry 4.0, along with an assessment of the challenges that may be encountered.

 Abstract

This paper explores many facets of a pandemic-caused apocalypse using the prism of two very seminal works, Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven and Cormac McCarthy's The Road. These literary works become the gateway to explore the human psyche and give a path to unravel the tussle between fear and uncertainty that dominates a pandemic world. These collected works present the true reflection of the human conditions amidst the collapse of a civilization and how it psychologically damages the victims who are surviving with a constant fear of death. Through these works the true reflection of human existence and behavior will be portrayed. The study involves a comparative and qualitative analysis to understand the themes, narratives, dynamics of human existence, and the psychology of the human mind. The paper aims to understand how fear breathes within the human mind when they get exposed to such catastrophic events and survive in the tragic world. The study also draws a parallel with the COVID-19 pandemic and attempts to understand the conditions of people when COVID-19 knocked into our lives.

 Abstract

There are many illnesses around us every day and everyone has one or the other type of illness they are facing. People need an application which can fulfil all their needs. They need a healthcare application which can do all the caring for them for their wellness. There are many applications around nowadays which can have the detailed records of the patients which are centralized records and are accessible by the patients as and when needed. These centralized records make it easily accessible to doctors when they review the case of the patient. In this research paper we will discuss the healthcare applications: what technology they use, the challenges and issues they face and try to create a secure and robust application which can build a healthy environment by tracking our day-to-day tasks or health goals.

 Abstract

Abstract--This research paper delves into the realm of Ad- vanced Facial Health and Age Insight Systems, aiming to develop a non-invasive method for individuals to assess their health status through the analysis of facial images. The primary objectives include providing insights into overall health, age estimation, and monitoring aspects of wellness such as stress levels, fatigue, and potential health indicators. The project's core focus is on harnessing the power of computer vision and machine learning algorithms to extract valuable information from facial features. By employing cutting- edge technologies, we aim to revolutionize the way individuals receive health insights. The non-invasive nature of this approach ensures user convenience and accessibility. The first objective of non-invasive health assessment involves the development of a system capable of analysing facial features to provide individuals with insights into their overall health status. This includes the identification of key bio-metric markers associated with underlying health conditions, offering users a proactive means of understanding their well-being. Age estimation, as the second objective, utilizes facial features to provide an approximate estimation of an individual's age. This feature caters to personal curiosity and finds practical applica- tions in scenarios requiring age verification. The integration of machine learning models trained on diverse datasets enhances the accuracy and reliability of age estimation. Wellness monitoring, the third objective, extends the system's capabilities to assess and analyse facial features for insights into aspects of wellness. This encompasses monitoring stress levels, detecting signs of fatigue, and identifying potential health indicators. The real-time nature of this monitoring facilitates timely interventions and promotes overall well-being. Throughout the paper, ethical considerations regarding pri- vacy and consent are thoroughly examined to ensure the respon- Sible development and deployment of the Advanced Facial Health and Age Insight System. As technology progresses, challenges and future directions are discussed, paving the way for continuous improvement and innovation in this burgeoning field. In conclusion, this research paper presents a comprehensive exploration of an advanced facial analysis system, offering a novel non-invasive approach to personalized wellness monitoring. The potential impact on individuals' lives, from proactive health assessment to age estimation and wellness monitoring, positions this system at the forefront of technological advancements in the healthcare domain.
