 Abstract

Management is a highly inclusive and comprehensive term. It means much more than mere organization and administration. Educational Management is a complex human activity in which different resources, both men and material, are brought together and made available to accomplish the cherished goals of the organization. The general principles of management like planning, organizing, staffing, decision- making, coordinating and controlling, directing, reporting, motivating and budgeting are as important in educational management as is the case with any other enterprise. There must be optimal use of both human and material resources to realize the aims of education in general and the specific objectives in particular. Management of education thus implies the practical measures for ensuring the system to work for achieving the objectives of an educational institution. The role of a B.Ed. college Principal is an interpersonal one because he or she spends a lot of time interacting with teaching staff, the trainee teachers and office staff. This interpersonal role is very important for the B.Ed. college Principal in his managerial work. Three interpersonal roles namely the figure head, the leader, liaison officer, come from the formal authority and the status of the B.Ed. College Principal. In the present study the researcher has developed the Effective Functioning Rating Scale for assessing the effective functioning of principals as perceived by their B.Ed. college lecturers working in Rayalaseema Region of Andhra Pradesh. For the analysis of data mean, S.D, t-test and graphs have been used by the investigators in the present study. The results of the study concluded that the variables age group and educational qualifications of the B.Ed. college lecturers significantly differed in their perception about their Principals effective functioning of the colleges.

 Abstract

This paper introduces an novel topology of Multi-Level (seven level) Inverter (MLI) with reduced number of switches. Multilevel inverter targets Medium voltage, high power applications. This paper offers a new topology with reduced THD, switching losses and voltage overstress on switches. This multilevel inverter structured with the level module units to enhance the level of the voltage for levelled output. Since a level module unit consists of only a DC voltage source and a bidirectional switch, this structure allows a reduction of the system cost and size. Effectiveness of the proposed topology has been demonstrated by analysis and hardware implementation.

 Abstract

Tourism is a collection of many activities, services and industries that deliver a travel experience, including transportation, accommodations, eating and drinking establishment, retail shops, entertainment businesses, activity facilities and other hospitality services provided for individual or groups who travel. Tourism Importance can be accessed from not only the contribution to the GDP but also from the effect of tourism in different services and industries. From the past reviews, it is identified that Tourism is the industry where everyone is now focusing on its infrastructural development but while developing it the protection of the heritage of the destination, sustainable development, host community culture, and much more are also an important aspect. The research study provides a tourism review model for the development of Tourism Industry which provides the review mechanism to check the effect of tourism infrastructural development on other important aspect at the destination.

 Abstract

This paper focuses on the development of an accurate neonatal brain MRI segmentation algorithm and its clinical application to characterize normal brain development and investigate the neuro-anatomical correlates of cognitive impairments. Neonatal brain segmentation is challenging due to the large anatomical variability as a result of the rapid brain development in the neonatal period. The segmentation of MR images of the neonatal brain is a fundamental step in the study and assessment of infant brain development. The highest level of development techniques for adult brain MRI segmentation are not suitable for neonatal brain, because of substantial contrasts in structure and tissue properties between newborn and adult brains. Existing newborn brain MRI segmentation approaches either depend on manual interaction or require the utilization of atlases or templates, which unavoidably presents a bias of the results towards the population that was utilized to derive the atlases. In this paper, we proposed an atlas-free approach for the segmentation of neonatal brain MRI, based on the modified mathematical morphology approach. The segmentation of the brain in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a prerequisite to obtain quantitative measurements of regional brain structures. These measurements allow characterization of the regional brain development and the investigation of correlations with clinical factors.

 Abstract

In recent years, monitoring homes and providing security measures are raising alarm due to several break-ins. Security automation is a must which has to be integrated in this smart world. For effective mechanism, we use multiple PIR- motion detecting sensors, and Arduino kit for both wired and wireless communication, in this project. In the proposed project, whenever the PIR sensor senses heat radiated from the body of human, the sensed data is sent to Arduino kit which processes them and sends trigger in the form of a message to the owner as well as to the nearby police station. The uninterrupted power supply is provided to the sensor. To avoid unnecessary panic, a weight detector (pressure sensor) is setup with some threshold value, below which it indicates that a false sense has been encountered. To enhance higher security, a camera is kept outside which will identify strangers using face recognition technique and warning notification will be triggered by comparing with the previously recorded details of individuals and the strangers information will be updated in the database for future reference, once the owner authorizes .By using shape recognition method weapons can be found and violent actions can also be found using artificial intelligence. The dark cameras have been set up inside the house in each room, so that the captured footages can be sent through mail to the police, in-case of the absence of the owner. Though the implementation is a complex one, it provides high security.

 Abstract

Vision is one of the very essential human senses and it plays the major role in human perception aboutsurrounding environment. The traditional and oldest mobility aids for persons with visual impairments are the walking cane (also called white cane or stick) and guide dogs. The most important drawbacks of these aids are necessary skills and training phase, range of motion and very little information conveyed. With the rapid advances of modern technology, both in hardware and software front have brought potential to provide intelligent navigation and language capabilities. In proposed system we use camera to capture the image then the image will be processed to extract the features of the object using two algorithms. The simulation results using SIFT algorithm and the SOBEL algorithm is used to extract edge key points matching showed good accuracy for detecting objects. Object detection deals with extracting embedded details, patterns and their relationship in images. The captured image will be compared with theimages that are already stored in the datasets. The images that are matched with the dataset images are converted into text message and then the text is converted into voice notes. All the processing will be done by using MATLAB.

 Abstract

To easily find an unoccupied parking space in the larger car park is a problem for many drivers. During the last four-decade, there are many parking models are developed. But, the models still cannot solve the parking problem. The Car parking indicator system could be used for residential buildings, hotels, offices, shopping center and show rooms, universities, government buildings, airports, hospitals, and stadium. The advantages of the car parking indicator system are efficient usage of spaces, slots, proper directioning, automatically allotment of slots, and display of empty and filled parking slots. As soon as car enters, driver gets information of the filled slots and empty slots on big display board. As the driver moves further, he will get a message of allotted parking slot and navigation for that slot on small display board situated in the inner lane. When all slots are full, No slots available message displays on the display board.

 Abstract

Air pollution monitoring is extremely important as air pollution has a direct impact on human health and environment. In this paper we introduce a wireless sensor network system for participatory air pollution monitoring. The traditional air quality monitoring system, controlled by the Pollution Control Department, is extremely expensive. Analytical measuring equipment is costly, time and power consuming. In contrast to traditional air pollution monitoring stations, we present the design, implementation, and evaluation of low power, low cost WSN based Air Pollution Monitoring System which provides real time monitoring of polluted materials at proper locations by using distributed (real time) air pollution monitoring systems.

 Abstract

The idea of Nature as a unified entity seems to be an aesthetic, impressionistic attribute ascribed to Nature. In the western metaphysics, such unification is a divine intension or divine architecture, which is perhaps beyond the possibility of human cognition. It proclaims that such idea is not a quixotic imagination or notional image or a mere speculation of Nature. Rather there are certain understandings based upon certain logical premises that help in conceptualisation of this idea. This paper intends to present how the idea has been conceptualised and developed in the history of western philosophy. This paper is a retrospective overview of the journey of such idea of Nature from the ancient to the modern time, and the conceptual impediments it has faced in the course of its journey. It has not touched upon all ideas in the gamut of philosophy due to the constraint of space. However, views of select philosophers on the nature of natural reality have been analysed to substantiate the idea concerning the unity of Nature. Although attempt has been made to maintain chronological coherence among the ideas, yet in the course of conceptual analysis some lapses will unavoidably be present in the paper.

 Abstract

Bodoland Territorial Area District (BTAD), an autonomous council formed on 10 February, 2003 within the state of Assam. BTAD is administered by Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), and is created under the sixth schedule of Indian constitution with four districts- Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri. It is noteworthy that Bodos have been sharing as the single largest tribal community with other community in Assam and majority in BTAD area. The Bodos are demanding separate homeland called Bodoland since 1960s and at present under the banner of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU). However, the transitional history of the region is very much painful as the region witnessed various movements, ethnic conflict; arms rebellion etc. and this brings chaos to the lives of individual. Accordingly, the threats to human security can be realized. The development in the region can be seen after the formation of BTAD in some aspects; however, the threats to the live of individual cannot be ignored. The communal tensions remain relevant threats to the people of this autonomous council. The paper therefore will focus human insecurities aspect to human security highlighting the communal violence of the BTAD region of Assam.

 Abstract

Peace is one of the most important mechanisms to keep the society in balance for survival of social lives of human society as a common family in harmony. The democratic nature of peace determines the future of the particular society for its growth and all round development. Potential justice of the society depends on the volume of the peace and conflict of the human society. BTAD, (Bodoland Territorial Area Districts) is consisting of four Districts in Assam, India, which was formed in 10 February, 2003. The four Districts are Kokrajhar, the present Capital of BTC, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri. The said region is colored with multicultural ethnic groups and enjoys the equal status of all kinds of socio-economic and socio-political rights with the total population of 3155359, according to 2011 Census. Peace and conflict is recycling one after another in every human society and the existence of the same phenomena can never be denied in BTAD. Through this paper, the situation of the BTAD may be studied in the theoretical aspect of the scenario.

As a feasible and gainful way to deal with give figuring resources and administrations to customers on intrigue, cloud computing has ended up being better known. From cloud specialist co-op's perspective, benefit is a champion among the most basic thoughts, and it is overwhelmingly managed by the plan of a cloud organization arrange under given business area ask. In any case, a solitary whole deal renting plan is ordinarily gotten to outline a cloud arrange, which can't guarantee the organization quality however prompts certifiable resource squander. In this paper, a twofold resource renting plan is delineated initially in which temporary renting and whole deal renting are joined going for the present issues. This twofold renting arrangement can suitably guarantee the idea of organization of all requesting what's more, decrease the benefit misuse massively. Thirdly, a benefit enhancement issue is anticipated the twofold renting arrangement and the streamlined course of action of a cloud organize is gotten by dealing with the benefit help issue. Finally, a movement of calculations coordinated to dissect the benefit of our proposed design with that of the single renting plan. The results show that our arrangement can't simply guarantee the organization idea of all requesting, also get more benefit than the last.
