It's unfortunate to say that most of them are not aware of their mental illness and the severness increases. Peoples visits physicians for their physical illness, but are shy to visit a psychiatrist although they might be having some kind of mental disturbances. There may be various reasons for mental illness. Some Sociologist has classified Sociological Explanation of mental illness as a) Social Isolation Theory b) Role Theory and c) Labelling Theory. What so ever the reasons for mental illness may be, Eminent Psychologist and Psychiatrist has suggested some therapies as; 1) Preventive Psychiatrist: Timely crisis intervention can often prevent mental health even under stressful conditions. 2) The community Mental Health Movements: Public mental hospitals should operate within the form work of the local community mental health Programme. 3) Therapy: Individual counselling (Psychoanalysis, Behaviour Modification) Group Therapies: In this the patient becomes a member of an in-group and he gains a sense of belonging Community. Therapy Emphasis is placed on the treatment of mental patients within community, in facilities ranging from office and outpatient treatment to "half way home" and recreation centres day hospitals and night hospitals. The most important part of the medical social worker is to use direct methods. i.e. case work, group work and community organization in prevention and curative efforts of mentally ill persons. A social work should create awareness about mental illness in the community and try to eliminate the myths and stigma attachments, discrimination etc. as a case worker he should work with the patient as a counsellor and with his family, to provide support to the client for his betterment and give Emotional and Psychological strength. As a Group worker the social worker should support the Group and individuals in the group to gain a sense of belonging, how to respond to others and how others likely to perceive and react to him toward healthy interpersonal relation with society at large. As a Community organiser the psychiatric social worker should create awareness about mental disturbance, eliminate myths and stigma attachments and create a supportive movement of the community for prevention and cure of such mental illness.

 Abstract

Medical sociology is a branch of sociology that studies and analyzes the functioning of medical organizations and institutions and how social and cultural variables influence the fields of health and medicine. It is also called sociology of health. It helps to generate information about different approaches, actions and interactions of medical professionals and the socio-cultural implications of medicine. Health is sometimes seen as only or mostly a biological or individual problem with little effect on other people or society. That view is that the primary determinants of health are either entirely biological or entirely dependent on the individual. Most diseases can have completely biological roots, sociologists believe that the picture is more complex. Illness can be classified not only as a medical problem, but also as a social or psychological problem. Diseases can also be caused by existing social structures, an individual's lifestyle, social identity, experiences etc.

 Abstract

The theory in connection with augmented reality is the trend of the day and the surety for it to rule the centuries ahead is high. The basic idea behind the convention of augmented reality is to experience things with all the senses. The diversity of experience it provides expands over several horizons, which makes a must-need. One needs to engage and interact with the latest technology and see the "once-unpredictable" reality of life. The kernel of augmented reality (AR) encompasses a user or participant as it is better known and a technology to co-relate the real and virtual in such a manner that they seem the same or as one entity. This paper is a qualitative analysis of the effect of augmented reality on readers, specifically youngsters.

 Abstract

Abstract: Noise is the new age or generation hazard, which has become the inevitable part of the civilized world. Noise is defined as "unwanted sound". It has a significant impact on the quality of life, and in that sense, it is a health problem in accordance with the World Health Organization's (WHO). The traffic police people are mostly on the roads for about 8 hours a day getting exposed to the noise which is more than the permissible levels. Thus, this indicates the need to identify the hearing status and other hearing related problems in traffic police people. The present study aims at investigating the effect of traffic noise on hearing ability of traffic police personnel. Identify the early onset of hearing loss among them and bring awareness and prescribe proper ear protective devices. It also aims to measure the noise levels in different locations in Hyderabad city. A total number of 40 traffic police people (80 ears) between 20 and 45 years of age participated in this study. The participants were divided in to three groups. All participants were subjected to an extended audiological test battery containing tests on audiometric thresholds. Before the actual investigation started, all the participants underwent otoscopic examination and Immittance audiometry. The hearing loss in the traffic police people was symmetrical, i.e. their hearing acuity for both was equally affected in both the ears. The Speech Recognition Thresholds were higher in traffic police people. The DP amplitudes were reduced at 3000Hz, 4000Hz and 5000Hz in traffic police people. Thus, it can be conclude that the long standing exposure to noise results in decreased DP amplitudes of OAEs.

 Abstract

During recent years, we have seen much technological advancement which help to take better care of patient's health and assure them fast and safe recovery. The most basic item necessary is competent patient care in hospitals, as well as proper management of fluid and electrolytes. In hospital almost all patients, mainly ICU patients, have to regulate the volume of fluids and electrolyte into the bloodstream 24X7 which is done using drip. These drips need regular monitoring or changing to maintain constant flow of fluids or to prevent any infection to patients. Though this system is simple, overcrowded hospitals and the risk of deficiency of nurses can put patients at health risk which can deteriorate patients' health more aggressively or in worse case it can lead to death. Almost in all hospitals, nurses or the hospital staff are responsible for monitoring the drip level. But unfortunately, because of their hectic schedule, the observer may forget to change the bottle at the appropriate time. During the pandemic, hospitals were overrun with patients, and nurses were unable to do manual regular checks on the drip conditions and drip level of every patient, even after working extra shifts. Many patients even died due to not being able to get proper care from nurses. The next step in providing more effective and easy healthcare is to automate such vital procedures. To overcome this critical situation, we are proposing an IoT (Internet of Things) based Drip Monitor System using Arduino UNO which eases the process of measuring and solves the issues of bubble formation in drip

 Abstract

American Literature is a body of literary works penned in English by writers in the United States of America. Many argue that American Literature came into existence after the period of colonisation. Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash is a contemporary and trending novel, especially with the involvement of digitalisation in reality. This research article titled "Investigation of Chaotic Future in Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash, " assists in the analysis of the plausible future in a technologically advanced world, with the probability of reaching a stage of the posthuman at the pinnacle. The research finds evidence of virtual reality and its latent to create a simulated reality, which is difficult to distinguish from reality. The brilliant mixture of the three I's- interactivity, immersive and imagination- supports the coagulation of both. This article also reveals the metaverse or virtual reality as a place of imminent ruination. The faint line that separates virtuality and reality alludes to this chaos.

 Abstract

Rainfall is of utmost importance in agriculture, but predicting it accurately has become a significant challenge in recent times. Accurate forecasts of precipitation provide valuable insights in advance, enabling individuals to take necessary precautions and devise better crop strategies. The impact of global warming on nature and humanity has accelerated changes in climatic conditions, resulting in adverse effects such as flooding and drought. As a result, accurately predicting rainfall has become one of the best techniques to understand the climate. However, forecasting precipitation is a demanding and uncertain task that significantly impacts human society. Precise and timely predictions can proactively mitigate potential human and financial losses. To address this issue, a series of experiments were conducted using prevalent machine learning methods to construct models that anticipate whether it will rain the following day based on weather data for that day in major Australian cities. The outcomes offer a comparison of diverse evaluation metrics of these machine learning approaches and their capability to predict precipitation by scrutinizing the weather data. The study aims to provide accurate climate descriptions to clients from various domains such as agriculture, research, power generation, etc., to comprehend the need for climate transformation and its parameters, such as temperature, humidity, precipitation, and wind speed, which ultimately lead to rainfall predictions. It is essential to note that predicting rainfall is a challenging task that also depends on geographic location.

Food, according to Indian culture is the source of sustenance for the entire creation. Food is considered to be very sacred and is treated as God.Strict restrictions were placed in Indian culture regarding dietary patterns as it is believed that the food affects one's physical as well as mental and emotional health of individuals. In the current time, the effect of food and its influence on mind is neglected. Due to availability of packed, processed and ready to eat foods in plenty, children's eating patterns are adversely affected. Current day children prefer to eat processed, junk foods than freshly available foods and home - made foods. These eating patterns have lead to ill health, obesity, depression, psychosomatic problems etc. The problems faced due to faulty eating behaviours can be corrected with the ancient Indian wisdom on yogic diet. The current study made an attempt to review the effect of yogic diet prescribed by Indian culture to mitigate food related problems among children.  Abstract

After the COVID-19 virus was introduced to the world, the WHO declared a global pandemic. It affected over 150 countries. To minimize the spread of the virus, schools, offices, and markets were temporarily closed. During the pandemic, many of the lecture sessions were conducted on-line, which caused a surprise for the teaching fraternity and the stack holders. It is with this background the researchers have made an attempt to study the willingness of the Faculty members to teach online Post-pandemic with special emphasis on Faculty in Private engineering colleges in Bangalore. The study was conducted among 144 Faculty members using a mixed-method approach to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data. The various phases of the study included: literature search, review, problem formulation, data collection, and analysis. Using SPSS .24 software the collected data was analyzed and the statistical tools applied were Cross Tabulation, Chi-Square tests, Correlation Method and Garrett Ranking Method. Majority of the Teaching Faculty contacted for this survey expressed their readiness to teach online Post-pandemic. This research also highlights two important issues that Teaching Faculty face: Lack of Equipment and Erratic/Unstable Internet Connection. Hence, the respective managements should pay attention to these issues on a priority basis to provide quality teaching to the teaching community.

 Abstract

Women are the pillars of society. Though their contribution to the social, political and economical plethora is not given priorities, their contribution to the household activities can't be denied by anyone. Due to the existing gender roles in the society, women are always expected to be within the four walls of their own homes. Perhaps, this results in more inclination of women towards the environment. Because women rely on the environment for their household chores- starting from cooking to relaxing. Women are the best collectors of natural resources. They depend on natural resources such as water, trees, land etc for their household chores. Hence, the loss of the environment directly impacts the lives of women. Forest is considered one of the most important natural resources and it becomes mandatory to preserve and conserve it. It is important for maintaining the ecology and women play a very vital role in its protection. The destruction of the environment mostly affects women as they are the most attached to the environment. Women are the active agents of conservation and restoration of the environment . Globally researchers have been trying their level best to link gender equality with a balanced environment and to portray how degrading environmental situations can result in the enhancement of men- women gap as well as refusal to women's rights. For example, countries with more women in their parliaments are likely to set aside protected land and ratify environmental treaties. The main reason behind examining the issue of women and environment is to show the role of women in the development of a balanced sustainable environment. For example, in India women are seen to be attached to a forest.environment sometimes for household chores and sometimes due to their mother's kind of love. This paper tries to show the relationship between women and the environment, various environmental movements etc.

 Abstract

This research suggests a visibility detection approach based on the identification of the taillight signals of the previous vehicle using vehicle pictures. We first construct the system for picture enhancement before identifying the vehicle from the enhanced image. We are building a system that primarily serves as a means of vehicle identification without using the taillights. The other is to recognize moving vehicles using taillight segmentation. Utilising a YOLOv2 detector network, automobiles are detected in this work. The enormous variety in picture appearance and imaging interference mean that even though numerous automated detection approaches, including those based on image processing techniques, have been developed, the detection performance can still be improved.

 Abstract

Background: The digestive system is impacted by gastrointestinal tract (GI) illnesses, and conventional diagnosis calls for invasive treatments. Large datasets can be used to train deep learning models to accurately predict and diagnose GI tract diseases, allowing for early detection, fewer invasive procedures, and better patient outcomes. Methods: We gather and preprocess a sizable dataset to build a deep learning model for predicting gastrointestinal tract illness. Meaningful data is extracted using feature extraction techniques, and an appropriate deep learning model is chosen and trained on the preprocessed data. Lastly, performance measures are used to assess the trained model on a validation dataset. Findings: High accuracy rates have been reached for disorders including colon cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and Crohn's disease, demonstrating the potential of deep learning models for the prognosis of gastrointestinal tract diseases. Improved patient outcomes and lower healthcare costs can result from the adoption of non-invasive techniques for early detection and diagnosis. The models must be validated in clinical situations through more study. Novelty and applications: A innovative and non-invasive method of diagnostics is the application of deep learning models for the prognosis of gastrointestinal tract disorders. The use of this technology has the potential to completely transform the area of gastroenterology by enabling early identification and individualised treatment strategies. It can also lower medical expenses and enhance patient outcomes.
