Environmental pollution is becoming a serious public health issue that affects the survival and sustainability of nature worldwide. The use of plants and related soil bacteria to lessen the absorption of harmful substances from the environment is known as phytoremediation. It is a relatively new technology that is well-liked by the public and is seen to be economical, productive, innovative, eco-friendly, and solar-powered. The use of plants and related soil bacteria to lower the levels of harmful chemicals in the environment is known as phytoremediation. It is a relatively new technology that is well-liked by the general public and is seen to be innovative, efficient, economical, and solar-powered. The only practical way to lessen the detrimental effects on ecosystem health may be to remediate soil contaminated by heavy metals. Similar processes to those of phytodegradation, phytovolatilization, phytoaccumulation, and phytoextraction form the basis of phytoremediation. These designs are lucrative, eco-friendly, and successful.

The increasing importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors in industry economics has led to a growing need for effective ESG management. This paper rethinks ESG management by examining the role of governance structures and technological adaptation in promoting sustainable industry economics. We argue that traditional ESG management approaches are inadequate and that a more integrated and adaptive approach is needed. Our analysis highlights the importance of collaborative governance, digital technologies, and data analytics in enhancing ESG management. We also identify key challenges and opportunities for future research. The rapid pace of technological change in industry economies has significant implications for governance structures and the management of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. This paper examines the interplay between governance structures, technological change, and ESG factors, and argues that traditional governance approaches are no longer sufficient. We propose a new framework for managing ESG factors that takes into account the complexities of technological change and the need for more adaptive and collaborative governance structures.

Hypertension is a major complication often associated with diabetes mellitus, significantly increasing the risk of cardiomyopathy, stroke, hyperlipidemia, ischemic cerebrovascular disease, and peripheral vascular disease. These complications contribute substantially to morbidity and mortality, especially among middle-aged and older individuals. Metoprolol tartrate, a beta-blocker, is widely used for the management of hypertension and prevention of cardiac complications in diabetic patients. The objective of this research was to develop a sustained-release (SR) formulation of metoprolol tartrate for once-daily administration to improve therapeutic efficacy and patient compliance. Sustained-release tablet formulations (F1 to F7) were prepared using release-retarding agents such as HPMC K100 and Eudragit RSPO. The granules for the SR tablets were evaluated for their flow properties to ensure uniformity and reproducibility during the manufacturing process. The formulated SR tablets were subjected to various evaluations, including weight variation, hardness, thickness, swelling index, and in vitro drug release studies. The optimized formulation (F7) demonstrated a controlled and sustained drug release for 12 hours, ensuring a consistent therapeutic effect. The results indicate that the developed sustained-release formulation of metoprolol tartrate offers an effective once-daily treatment option for hypertension. This novel formulation has the potential to enhance patient compliance, improve treatment outcomes, and significantly contribute to the management of hypertension and associated cardiovascular risks.

Herbal or natural excipients offer significant benefits over their synthetic alternatives as they are non-toxic, more affordable, and readily available. With growing awareness about these natural excipients, which are primarily plant-based polymers, pharmaceutical industries are increasingly adopting them in formulation development. Natural gums and mucilages derived from plants, such as carrageenan, thaumatin, lard, storax, agar, gum acacia, and tragacanth, fulfill various pharmaceutical excipient requirements. The traditional idea of excipients as just inactive and inexpensive substances has changed a lot. Now, they are considered an important part of a drug formulation. Excipients are any ingredients added to a dosage form, other than the active drug. This article provides an overview of herbal excipients used in both conventional dosage forms and modern drug delivery systems. These natural ingredients are preferred for formulation development due to their stability and fewer regulatory concerns compared to synthetic options. Additionally, they can be easily modified to meet specific formulation needs, making them a cost-effective and efficient medium for delivering active pharmaceutical ingredients. This study highlights the potential of natural excipients as diluents, binders, disintegrants, and lubricants in different formulations, as they are biocompatible and provide added nutritional value to the dosage form.

India's economy has its foundation in micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) particularly in the textile sector, which also creates employment and exports. In Lucknow, Ada Designer Chikan Studio is an MSME that deals with Chikankari embroidery, a traditional craft that has been given a modern twist through its designs. This is because a large number of businesses are family owned and hence financial information may not be readily available. The main purpose of this research study is to assess the profitability of a case MSME, Ada Designer Chikan Studio in comparison to the MSME textile sector and a subset of MSMEs. Profitability is a function of return on equity (ROE), return on assets (ROA), net profit margin (NPM), and gross profit margin (GPM) when it comes to assessing the financial performance of a company. It also highlights the position of the company in the small and medium-sized textile industry. The findings of the study conducted with the help of fictional data show that Ada Designer Chikan Studio is a very profitable firm and outperforms its peers in many respects. The study admits that the use of simulated financial data is a limitation and expects that further investigation with real data will produce more accurate results.

ABSTRACT Background: Lichen sclerosus is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder that most commonly affects women before puberty or after menopause. Lichen sclerosus is characterized by skin changes of the external genitalia. The most common distribution is involving the vulva and perianal area. The head of the penis and other parts of the body may also be affected. In fact, this skin condition can affect any skin surface with the most common extra-genital sites being on the trunk, a limbs.1 Extragenital involvement is found in approximately 11% of women and is rare in men. Extragenital involvement alone is uncommon and has been reported in about 6% of all women with LSA. The aetiology of LSA is unclear, but genetic, physiological and environmental factors are thought to be involved. Objective: To describe the clinical features and complications of disease and discuss the current management. Methods: Detailed history, physical examination and histopathology findings, a diagnosis of generalized lichen sclerosus Et atrophicus (LSA) was made. Other laboratory examinations were unremarkable. Conclusion: Generalized type is rare and genital involvement is most frequent and often the only site of involvement. As there is no standard treatment for LSA, the patient received various treatments for topical steroid, tacrolimus and narrow -band ultraviolet B therapy. The skin lesions has softened and its color improved after treatment. As, this case is reported an uncommon type of LSA with generalized hyper pigmented and sclerotic skin lesion in a postmenopausal female patient.

This research explores the Cultural Intelligence (CQ) levels of employees working in Multinational Corporations (MNCs) and Government Organizations in India, with the goal of understanding whether the nature of their work environment influences the development of CQ. Cultural Intelligence is an essential skill that helps individuals adapt and perform effectively in culturally diverse settings. In today's global and multicultural workspaces, CQ has become increasingly important, particularly in a culturally rich country like India. The study adopted a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative survey data collected through Google Forms using the Cultural Intelligence Scale (CQS) and qualitative insights from 30 in-depth interviews with employees from both sectors. The CQS instrument, developed by Ang et al. (2007), measures four key dimensions of CQ--Metacognitive, Cognitive, Motivational, and Behavioral--across 20 items using a 7-point Likert scale. A total of 112 employees (57 from MNCs and 55 from Government Organizations) participated in the survey. Data was analyzed using Stata software, and an independent sample t-test was conducted to compare CQ levels between the two groups. The results revealed no statistically significant difference in the CQ levels of MNC employees (M = 85.75) and Government employees (M = 87.04), with a t-value of -0.7294 and p-value of 0.4673. Although Government employees showed a slightly higher mean score, this difference was not large enough to be considered significant. The interviews provided valuable context for these findings. Employees in MNCs largely attributed their cultural adaptability to international exposure and formal cross-cultural training, while Government employees emphasized the diversity within India itself as a driving factor in developing their CQ. This highlights that both international exposure and domestic cultural diversity can equally contribute to enhancing an individual's CQ. These findings challenge the common perception that global work environments automatically lead to higher CQ. Instead, they emphasize that navigating cultural differences within one's own country can be just as valuable in developing CQ, particularly in a diverse nation like India. This study offers practical insights for both MNCs and Government Organizations, encouraging them to foster CQ development not only through global assignments but also by exposure to domestic diversity. While the sample size was relatively small, and the data relied on self-reported responses, the research lays the groundwork for future studies. Longitudinal research or sector-specific comparisons could offer deeper insights into how CQ evolves over time and across different industries.

Abstract This paper explores the intriguing parallel between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Krishna's role in the Mahabharata, particularly in decision-making, ethical dilemmas, and strategic leadership. Just as Krishna served as a guide to Arjuna and other key figures, AI-powered Decision Support Systems (DSS) assist modern leaders in making complex choices based on data-driven insights. Krishna's interventions--whether advising Arjuna on dharma in the Bhagavad Gita or formulating war strategies--mirror AI's ability to provide situational awareness, risk assessment, and strategic recommendations without directly enforcing decisions. However, just as Krishna's guidance required human interpretation and moral judgment, AI too presents insights that human decision-makers must ethically evaluate. By drawing on examples from the Mahabharata and modern AI applications, this paper examines AI's potential as a "digital Krishna," highlighting both its transformative power and its inherent limitations in leadership and ethics.
