 Abstract

The blue-green algae spirulina, also known as arthrospira, sprang to fame after NASA employed it effectively as a food supplement for astronauts on space missions.About 60% of the protein in spirulina comes from 12 different vitamins and at least 8 minerals. As a result, spirulina is a superfood and offers a wide range of advantages.It has the capacity to regulate immunological processes and demonstrates anti-inflammatory characteristics by preventing mast cells from releasing histamine. Several randomised controlled trials and systematic reviews have been conducted to examine the effectiveness and potential clinical uses of spirulina in the treatment of various diseases. The results of these studies suggest that this alga may improve a number of symptoms and may even have anticancer, antiviral, and antiallergic properties. potential and current clinical applications.

 Abstract

To oblige the determination of the research on the problems faced by students in learning vocabulary, the researcher had conducted an action research. In this research 60 undergraduate students aged between 18-20 were chosen as the subjects. As vocabulary being the important part of reading, writing and speaking skills, vocabulary adds to the language of an individual. Questionnaire was given in five line based options. The collected samples were analyzed with the bottom up method. After the investigation of collected samples from the survey it is evaluated that the teaching-learning process should go on a with a set of instruction strategies and this enables the learners in mastering their vocabulary and through the usage of examples students learn the abstract words/vocabulary easily. The researcher has concluded that traditional methods of teaching-learning is not that effective in learning vocabulary.

The Qutb Shahi Kingdom came to existence in 1518 after the decentralization of the Bhahamani kingdom. Golconda was the capital city of Qutb Shahi. They are called Golconda Qutb Shahis. The Kingdom of Golconda was located in Deccan India. They ruled from 1518A.D to 1687 A.D. Qutb Shahi kingdom, which is politically and economically very developed,but it has many inequalities in the social field. Those inequalities have continued since ancient times. The reason for that is the caste system. During their ruling period also some social aspects continued. Namely, social evils like Sati, Child marriage, Polygamy, Dowry, Prostitution and kings and nobles were mainted Courtseans etc, inspite of these condition a great thing that royal women play a prominent role in this Qutb Shahi kingdom. It is a fact of great historical importance that these royal women played a leading role.

 Abstract

For those with communication challenges who also have hearing and speaking impairments, sign language comes naturally. The lack of any sign language corpus has prevented the development of many text to sign language conversion systems, despite a variety of tools being available to interpret or recognize sign language and convert it to text. Our project seeks to develop a translation system with a parsing module that converts English sentence structure grammar representation into an Indian sign language grammar representation. To accomplish this, stop words in the rearranged sentence are removed. Since Indian sign language does not provide word inflections, stemming is used to reduce words to their basic form. The dictionary's word entries with videos for each word are then compared to all the terms in the sentence. If the word is not included in the dictionary, a synonym is used in its stead. The proposed system is novel because it seeks to translate these sentences into Indian sign language grammar in a real-world context, unlike existing systems that just directly translate words into Indian sign language.

The Vedas are the oldest examples of religious literature in ancient India. The hermits of the Vedas realized the importance of various elements of nature through their general needs in day to day life. The imbalances and pollution of the environment due to the problems of urban development, huge population growth and huge demand for natural resources in the present world were not present in the Vedic age in ancient India. As a result, awareness to prevent population was not required at that time as it is now. But there was a consciousness to protect the environment at that time. They prayed nature as deity and also prayed for worldly wealth. From their devotion to nature it is not difficult to understand that they had not lack of awareness for nature and environment.

 Abstract

Researchers worldwide, in the recent years have expanded our understanding of how, and the degree to which, the immune system interacts with the nervous system, and vice versa. The immune system is important for the protection of the body against injury and disease. In the past several decades, the association between stress and immune function has received considerable attention. By initiating changes in the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and the immune system, chronic stress acts as a trigger for anxiety and depression. Both experimental and clinical evidence shows that a rise in the concentrations of proinflammatory cytokines and glucocorticoids, as occurs in chronically stressful situations and in depression, contribute to the behavioural changes associated with depression. Defects in serotonergic function are associated with hypercortisolemia and increased pro-inflammatory cytokines associated with depression. Glucocorticoids and proinflammatory cytokines promote the conversion of tryptophan to kynurenine. In addition to the resulting reduction in brain serotonin synthesis, this leads to the formation of neurotoxins such as the glutamate agonist quinolinic acid, which contributes to increased astrocyte, oligodendroglial, and neuronal apoptosis. The importance of the inflammatory hypothesis of depression is that it raises the possibility that psychotropic drugs with central anti-inflammatory activity will become a new generation of antidepressants. Chronic stress-induced neuroendocrine and immune system dysregulation is associated with psychological and physiological disorders, including depression. Several recent clinical and preclinical evidences suggest that neuroinflammation is a key factor interacting with three neurobiological correlates of major depressive disorder: brain serotonin Deficiency, dysregulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, and alterations in the continued production of adult neurons generated in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus. We are pleased to introduce a new overview series in this month's issue. Depression and their interaction as immune system dysfunction. An overview of how depression affects immune function is provided, and the literature evidence on various intrapersonal and interpersonal factors that may exacerbate or mitigate the health effects of depression is reviewed. Also, we have introduced new medications for depression and improvements in brain stimulation as a future treatment.

Abstract In today's competitive market, raising prices or implementing cost reducing measures that are only cosmetic may not be a viable alternative because they may result in a loss of market share or a decline in service quality, respectively. The capacity to precisely measure costs to ascertain genuine profit margins is essential for deciding whether or not to eliminate unprofitable goods, service lines, channels, or consumers. It's easy to track sales, but more difficult to estimate expenses. Poor strategic decision making and skewed product costs are the result of the use of outdated costing methods. The purpose of Activity-Based Costing (ABC) is to overcome these shortcomings of conventional cost accounting methods. This paper reports the results of a longitudinal research conducted at an ABC-compliant facility in India The research was conducted at the facilities of the component suppliers to major production companies The outcome shows that the current system is not standardised, and that there has been no systematic approach to determining the various rates.

 Abstract

The present study was undertaken to investigate diuretic effect of methanol extracts of the roots of Heteropogon contortous L., in normal rats. Method: methanol extract of Heteropogon contortous L. were administered to experimental rats orally at various doses (100mg/kg,200mg/kg,400mg/kg) p.o. Furosemide (10 mg/kg) was used as positive control in the study. The diuretic effect of the extracts was evaluated by measuring urine volume,diuretic index and Lipschitz value, sodium and potassium content, and chloride content.Saluretic index,Natriuretic index and Ion quotient were calculated. Result: Urine volume was significantly increased by the two doses of methanol extracts from root of Heteropogon contortous L., in comparison to control group. While the excretion of sodium was also increased by both extracts,The highest dose of extract significantly excreted sodium,chlorides in excess and had good saluretic,natriuretic activity which was comparable to that of standard drug. There was no potassium sparing effect found. There was no significant change in the pH of urine but they were mildly alkaline after administration of the Heteropogon contortous L., extracts. The diuretic effect of the extracts was comparable to that of the reference standard (Furosemide). Conclusion: We can conclude that methanol extracts of Heteropogon contortous L., produced diuretic effect. Present study provides a quantitative basis for explaining the diuretic use of Heteropogon contortous L., as a diuretic agent.

 Abstract

Psychiatric disorders are diseases that affect cognition, emotion, and behavioral control and substantially interfere both with the ability of children to learn and with the ability of adults to function in their families, at work, and in the broader society. Mental disorders tend to begin early in life and often run a chronic recurrent course. They are common in all countries where their prevalence has been examined. Because of the combination of high prevalence, early onset, persistence, and impairment, mental disorders make a major contribution to total disease burden. Although most of the burden attributable to mental disorders is disability related, premature mortality, especially from suicide, is not insignificant This review was done to assess the burden of Psychiatric Diseases and to study the various issues and challenges at community level. World Health Organization estimated that mental and behavioural disorders account for about 12 percent of the global burden of diseases. In India the burden of mental and behavioural disorders ranged from 9.5 to 102 per 1000 population.
