 Abstract

Flowers (2005) is a magnum opus of 21st century by legendary playwright Girish Karnad(1938-2019). He is a prolific playwright who has credited with numerous awards like Padma Shri (1974), Padma Bhushan (1992), Sahitya Akademy Award (1994) and the Jnanpith Award (1999) for his contribution to Indian literature in English. Though, his mother tongue is Konkani but he chose to write in Kannada and English. In Flowers, Karnad deals with the conflict between amorous love and devotional love of an unnamed priest. The monologue continues to hold the attention of the readers through its aesthetic intensity. However, Flowers is not merely an amorous play that displays man-woman relationships in the background of Indian sensibility; it brings forth the spiritual intensity, a complete devotion towards God. Duality of the title can be sensed by the pious offerings of flowers to decorate the linga and the same flowers are used to decorate the naked body of the courtesan. Karnad precisely highlights the sacred and the profane world goes hand in hand with ease. In Flowers, Karnad returns to the archetypal world of dramaturgy and focuses on introspective male confessional voice rather than female. He takes the inspiration to write the play from the legend of Veeranna, archaka of the Hidambeshwara temple, who belongs to the Chitradurga region. The monologue became widely known in 1952 when T.R. Subbanna, a kannada writer included it in his swan song novel Hamsageethe.

 Abstract

Kathakali is an Indian classical dance composed of complex hand gestures, body moments, facial expressions and background music. Kathakali mudras are difficult to understand common peoples. We generate dataset for kathakali hand gestures and explore ways to recognize kathakali hand mudras performed by artistes by using machine learning and deep learning techniques. There are 24 classes of hand gestures. We propose Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for classification of hand gestures This is an attempt to generate dataset of kathakali hand gestures, explore data preprocessing for machine learning techniques and classification using Deep learning techniques

 Abstract

Machine learning is still a relatively new field in economics. Furthermore, there is still a shortage of knowledge about machine learning. What machine learning is, how it differs from conventional econometrics, and how analysts and organizations may best use it. Our research aims to evaluate prediction models employing modern ML methods. We test if ML algorithms can enhance performance and identify characteristics that promote economic recovery or forecast economic recessions. Some indicators can provide insight into the status of the economy while others cannot. In this paper, we will study India's GDP and make predictions with the help of Machine Learning.

 Abstract

Migration has been a result of some structural inequality. There are differentiated levels of development socially and economically among the states in India. An enormous development disparity exists between rural and urban areas that foster rural-urban migration. It is attention-grabbing that the creation of global cities has brought migrant workers from even the remotest and poorest regions of India. Lucknow, the city of Uttar Pradesh is such a city that is developing fast and attractive destination points for migrants from different regions of the country. The study attempts to address the multifaceted mechanism of short-term migration, taking Lucknow city of Uttar Pradesh as the study area. The objective of the study is to evaluate various factors influencing short-term migration to Lucknow. The study utilizes a triangular method for the analysis; a comprehensive pre-tested questionnaire was prepared to collect desired information about the short-term migrants. The survey covered the time period from December 2020 to February 2021. The study uses probit regression to examine the impact of various socio-economic factors of skilled and unskilled labour migration among inter-state migrants. The results from the probit regression model reveal that demographic factors like marital status, land size, education, family income, type of house and better employment opportunities from migration, significantly impact migration decisions and the migration levels.

 Abstract

Data is one of the most powerful and influential forces of our day. Data is important in practically every industry, from journalism to business to medical to politics. Predictive analysis has evolved from what was originally known as business intelligence. While business intelligence and predictive analytics both use similar concepts, business intelligence focuses on the past, and predictive analysis, as the name implies, focuses on the future. To make the marketing process more efficient, web scraping and predictive analytics can be combined. This can be accomplished through the use of a variety of techniques, such as business intelligence. Primary goal will be to make money for any business. In this paper, we'll look at how to use web scraping and predictive analytics to promote business products. Integrating the two processes is extremely advantageous to the company. Web scraping is utilized to collect data and predictive analytics is used to determine the most effective marketing approaches.

 Abstract

Food, clothing, and education are the three most fundamental and vital items for humans. These three must be the most basic needs of humanity, which must be met as soon as possible. Although, in today's society, we see many people who cannot afford or take advantage of these fundamental necessities for survival. On the other side, we witness many rich and educated people waste a significant quantity of things such as food, clothing, and literature. Our approach provides a positive solution to this dilemma. The main goal of the application is to bring together people who have extra assets and liabilities and are eager to give back to the community. people who are needy and ready to accept. Our application allows users to contribute food, clothing, and books for free, and other users to freely collect the donations when they are needed. Our application's key feature is that it connects users who have accepted a donation with those who have put that same donation up for consideration.

 Abstract

The aim of this paper is to introduce and study a new class of sets called etag-closed sets and a new class of spaces called etanormal spaces. The relationships among beeta*g-normal, alpha-normal, s-normal and eta-normal spaces are investigated. Moreover, we introduce the concept of eta-generalized closed functions. We also obtain some characterizations and preservation theorems of eta-normal spaces, in the forms of generalized eta-closed and eta-generalized closed functions.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is an annual cereal crops belonging to the family Poaceae Sixteen bread wheat varieties (8 of them farmers varieties and 8 of them improved varieties) were tested to compare yield performance, genetic variability, association among the traits on the grain yield. The genotypes were grown in Randomized complete block design at Goro and Agarfa community seed bank in 2017/18. Analysis of variance revealed that there were highly significant differences among the genotypes for most of the traits at individual and across locations. From the combined analysis of variance, significant (p?0.05) effect due to location, varieties and GE was observed for most of the traits. The varieties showed wider variability in mean grain yield of 666.67--4000 kg ha-1, 1333.33--8333.33 kg ha-1 and 666.67 8333.33 at Goro, Agarfa and across location, respectively. PCV was higher than the genotypic coefficients of variation (GCV) in most of the traits. At Agarfa GCV ranged from 0.34% (aboveground biomass) to 689% (kernel number per spike), whereas PCV ranged from 0.4% (days to tillering) to 790% (kernel number per spike). At Goro GCV ranged from 2.23% (kernel number per spike) to 29.9% (grain yield), whereas PCV ranged from 2.6% (kernel number per spike) to 36.2% (grain yield). Phenotypic coefficient of variability ranged from 11.54% (day to emergence) to 70.28% (grain yield). Genotypic coefficient of variability ranged from 7.4% (days to emergence) to 46.13% (plant height).Highest heritability estimates were recorded (>80%) for the characters; days to heading (89.8%) and spikes length (82.9%),kernel per spike (87.2%),1000 seed weight(83.8%) and harvest index(348.9%) at Agarfa and plant height(95.7%), and spikes length (91.1%),at Goro. Similarly, the result from combined analysis indicated that Phenotypic coefficient of variability ranged from 11.54% (day to emergence) to 70.28% (grain yield). Genotypic coefficient t of variability ranged from 7.4% (days to emergence) to 46.13% (plant height). The expected genetic advance as the percent of means expressed as a percentage of the mean ranged from 0.72% for above ground biomass to 264.8% for 1000 kernel weight at Agarfa and at Goro the expected genetic advance expressed as a percentage of the mean ranged from 0.95% for spike length to 49.14% for grain yield. Grain yield showed significant (p?0.01) positive phenotypic correlations with thousand kernels weight, above ground biomass, harvest index and plant height at each location. Similarly, significant (p?0.01) positive and negative phenotypic and genotypic correlations between the yield components were observed at each location. The highest grain yield was recorded in Bokate variety (80.01kunt/hect and the lowest grain yield was recorded in Ayuba variety (16.67kunt/hect) from farmers varieties, while Hidase variety (61.67 kunt/hect) and Ejerso variety (35.01 kunt/hect) the highest and lowest grain yield from improved varieties at Agarfa location. In Goro the highest grain yield was recorded in Tikur goshmber variety (33.34kunt/hect and the lowest grain yield was recorded in Tate variety (11.67kunt/hect) from farmers varieties, while Kekeba variety (39.01kunt/hect) and Digalu variety (10.01 kunt/hect) the highest and lowest grain yield from improved varieties. Generally, it has been observed the presence of variability among the genotypes, heritability and relationships in the tested traits of the genotypes studied. Hence, Selection and hybridization on farmers and released varieties based on the trait with high GCV, heritability, genetic advance, positive correlation coefficient and high grain yield can be recommended for farther yield improvement of bread wheat at respective location.
