 Abstract

Silence speaks louder than words. Amidst the clamour of voices and clatter of self -expression ,sometimes silence and mute acceptance speak a lot and compels the reader to read between the lines as well as beyond the lines. Silencing a voice gives rise to inquisitiveness regarding the expression or matter that was so unexpectable or dangerous that needed to be restricted. But silence has the fullness of speech."The fullness of silence would have exploded if it had not been able to in speech"( Max Picard 24) So silence has been adopted as a weapon by so many writers to vociferate the voiceless, the ugly, harrowing and deep distressing agony. Shashi Deshpande, a distinguished Indian woman writer , in her novels and stories makes her women protagonists speak louder by keeping them mum. They very effectively give voice to the suppressed feelings of women. In this paper ,I have taken into study three of her stories : 'A liberated Women',' The Stone Woman' and 'Why a Robin'. The three stories present three perspectives of women. Firstly, a woman who is highly educated and liberal yet bullied by her less educated husband because she hurts his ego. Secondly,a woman who does not accept the narcissistic existence of women as it is nothing but a matter to gratify the animal desires of male gaze. Thirdly, a women who is less educated and sophisticated and finds herself out of place and time because of her being naive and less educated.

 Abstract

A aggregate of 257 million cases of COVID- 19, the illness brought on by SARS- CoV- 2, have been reported encyclopaedically. While we rush to find a way to help, control, or cure COVID- 19, this contagion and complaint have had a profound impact on people each around the world, whether directly or laterally. The medium of infection by the SARS- CoV- 2 contagion and its propensity to modify the intracellular terrain in order to enhance viral replication are the main motifs of this review. We punctuate current knowledge and how scientific communities with moxie in viral, cellular, and clinical biology have contributed to increase our understanding of SARS- CoV- 2. These findings may also help to explain the extensively different clinical compliances of COVID- 19 cases, as we will see in the following section.

 Abstract

Scholar records management shapes many aspects of a university; even though it remains extensively recorded by way of hand. Whilst it's miles commonplace for a professor to pass round a signal-in sheet manually to Input in In/Out to a totally web-based application later, this results in an unreliable method, leaving many inconsistencies. With cutting-edge advances in generation, an automated In/Out recording and tracking gadget will substantially improve the efficiency and Reliability of In/Out tracking. Several different works have proposed answers using near field Communication however, many use a one-point at the start of a lecture to record In/Out. This is likely to cause bottlenecks and eat valuable time allocated to the course. A device is being applied that incorporates NFC, mobile-based services, and a utility interface for end users. This new design introduces a one-to-one approach the usage of scholar IDs with NFC tags to NFC reader placed at every classroom.

 Abstract

Foreign body inhalation and aspiration is less common in adolescent and adult population. However irrespective of the age group, this condition must be identified promptly with high degree of suspicion and treated immediately. Any delay in treatment may lead to serious complications and may cause a life threatening event. The symptoms may show choking but usually mimic those of bronchial asthma or exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Appropriate assessment should be with chest radiograph, CT scan to estimate the size and location of foreign body. Definitive diagnosis remains to be bronchoscope which can also help on the treatment. Here we have a rare case of broken piece of metal tracheostomy tube acting a foreign body in right main bronchus.

 Abstract

India is located in the tropics and is a country blessed with sunlight. Given recent technological advances, the country requires a significant amount of energy to grow. One potential energy-harvesting technology is the photovoltaic Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), which efficiently converts low-quality energy into high-quality energy. Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology has a bright future as it helps meet energy demands with minimal impact on the environment. The system uses solar energy and can collect solar energy through a concentrating parabolic reflector. This system is similar to the Rankine cycle and uses water as the working medium to generate steam. The organic Rankine cycle uses an organic liquid (refrigerant) to generate vapor. The boiling point of refrigerants is much lower than that of water, and they tend to retain heat and generate steam. Considering the possibility of using renewable energy, this paper presents an overview of solar thermal technology and applications on the organic Rankine cycle. Validation is done with respect to ORC system capacity, fluid type, and solar panel type. The scope of application of solar ORC technology will be discussed for the Indian scenario, and finally the future prospects of solar technology for ORC will be discussed and presented.

 Abstract

John Banville is a celebrated contemporary Irish novelist whose works are known for their exploration of complex themes. In this paper, we will examine Banville's treatment of themes of identity, memory, and the nature of reality in three of his novels: "The Book of Evidence," "Ghost," and "Athena." In "The Book of Evidence," Banville presents the story of Freddie Montgomery, a former scientist who has turned to a life of crime. Through Montgomery's first-person narration, Banville explores the nature of identity and the ways in which it can be constructed and deconstructed. Montgomery's identity is shaped by his memories, which are often unreliable and contradictory, making it difficult for the reader to piece together a coherent understanding of his character. In "Ghost," Banville explores the theme of memory through the story of Axel Vander, a retired actor who is haunted by memories of his past. Vander's memories are often fragmented and incomplete, and he struggles to come to terms with his own identity as he revisits his past. In "Athena," Banville delves into the theme of the nature of reality through the story of Billy Gray, a young boy who is sent to live with his aunt and uncle in a small Irish village. As Billy navigates his new environment, he begins to question the reality of the world around him and the nature of his own existence. Overall, Banville's novels offer intricate and nuanced explorations of themes of identity, memory, and the nature of reality. Through his characters' introspective journeys and his lyrical prose, Banville invites readers to question their own understanding of these fundamental aspects of the human experience.

 Abstract

Background: Palliative care is a medical treatment that relieves pain and other symptoms caused by a severe illness. Although it is widely accepted in other parts of the world, it is relatively new in the Middle East. Qatar only introduced it in 2008, so the public has yet to experience it. This study investigates the lived experiences of expatriate nurses regarding their palliative approach in medical care units in Doha, Qatar. Method: This study used a qualitative data collection method, which was accomplished by conducting key informant interviews, answering the central question, "How do expatriate nurses deal with the challenges of medical practices in Doha, Qatar?" as it seeks to understand the lived experiences of expatriate nurses in medical care units in Doha, Qatar. A semi-structured interview was utilized to collect the necessary data through which the emerging themes were formulated based on the responses of the participants. Findings: Based on the expatriate nurses' verbal musings in the palliative care unit in Doha, Qatar, the key to understanding their untold lived experiences rely upon three main themes, namely: (1) Patient Supervision, (2) Work Conditions, and (3) Work Adaptation. Conclusion: Expatriate palliative nurses in Qatar have the necessary skills to provide adequate patient care, adjust to their patients' diverse backgrounds, and adapt to their demanding working conditions. However, nurses who work in palliative care are prone to stress, emotional distress, and burnout due to the profession's challenging and melancholic nature. To counteract such difficulties, a favorable working environment and balanced workload distribution are essential for these nurses.

 Abstract

Domestic violence against women is understand as a situation supported and reinforced by gender norms and values that place women in a subordinate position in relation to men. In other words, it is widely acknowledged that violence against women is fundamentally a result of gender-based inequities, more than the product of any other individual or social factor. Therefore, one would expect violence against women to be more common in societies where gender roles are strictly defined and particularly among couples where men control the wealth and the decision-making process. At the same time, women's empowerment is understood as the process and the result of defying and changing such gender inequities and unequal distribution of power associated to them. Empowerment, by definition, should give women access and control over necessary resources and power so that they can make informed decision and gain control over their lives. Therefore, it is reasonable to expect that empowered women should be in a better position than the less empowered women to avoid or reject violence. In fact, diverse women's empowerment dimension such as freedom of movement, decision making power, formal education, participation in collective struggle or income generation have been hypothesized as element which protect women from domestic violence. Conclusions: Efforts to help women empower themselves through vocational training, employment opportunities and social groups need to consider the potential unintended consequences for these women, such as an increased risk of domestic violence.

The concept of supporting participation has been understood differently by different group, some regard it as contribution in terms of money and material resources. Students have played a major role as agents of social change and political development. They played a crucial role in freedom struggles of many third world countries and have provided 'left-wing leadership to nationalist movements and a generation of leaders were trained in these student movements. Social movements are large informal groupings of individuals and/or organizations focused on specific political or social issues, in other words, on carrying out, resisting or undoing a social change. Social change refers to the notion of social progress or socio-cultural evolution; the philosophical idea that society moves forward by dialectical or evolutionary means. The Telangana agitation was a prolonged and complex movement which rocked the state of Andhra Pradesh, particularly the Telangana region. Political movement is an expression of the struggle of a social group for the political space and benefits.

 Abstract

The laws of thermodynamics represent a magnificent mathematical expression of some experimentally observed natural truths. The energy conservation concept enables the calculation of process energy needs. The concept of increasing entropy (and the ensuing free-energy minimization) enables forecasts of how far those processes can progress.

 Abstract

Was becoming independent of British rule enough for this nation? Were all the citizens of India at peace amongst themselves after the end of British colonialism? If not, then were the people actually seeking for harmony at that time able to get what they wanted? What about the condition of India at the present times; has there been any improvement since then? The play Final Solutions by Mahesh Dattani attempts to answer all the above-mentioned questions thoroughly and quite meticulously. This research paper not only discusses the main theme of this play, but it also tries to answer an even more important question towards the end: What can be done to take a step towards peace and harmony in this country in the twenty-first century?

 Abstract

Warehouses play a vital role in mitigating variations in supply and demand, and in providing value added services in a supply chain. Minimizing the cost of transporting products from production and storage locations to demand centers is an essential part of maintaining profitability for companies who deal with product distribution. The transportation problems deals with the transportation of product manufactured at different plants or factories (supply origins) to a number of different warehouses (demand destination). The objective is to satisfy the destination requirements within the plant's capacity constraints at the minimum transportation cost. Transportation problems thus typically arise in situations involving physical movement of good from plants to warehouses, warehouses to warehouses, wholesalers to retailers and retailers to customers. In this paper we are discussing how products are shipped from a typical warehouse to showroom in Bengaluru city and try to get an optimal solution using Operation Research technique.
