 Abstract

ABSTRACT - Fog and haze make the photo degraded, and seriously affect the ordinary operation of the records device inside the fields of military, transportation and protection monitoring. Under this condition, the image de-fogging is of great significance. In order to meet the needs of real-time processing of existing video's de fogging process, a recognition algorithm based on recurrent neural network is proposed in this project. We use sparse automatic coding machine to extract the texture features of the image, and extract all kinds of fog related color features. Then, we use the recurrent neural network to implement sample training process, and we obtain the mapping relationship between texture structure features and color features and scene depth, and then we estimate the scene deep map of fog images. Finally, the atmospheric scattering model is used to recover the fog free image according to the scene deep map. Experiments show that the proposed algorithm can effectively obtain the scene depth of the image, and recover the ideal fog free image

 Abstract

Abstract : Development comes with a cost and is apt for the state of Jharkhand where the people are undergoing several health issues caused by the polluted air, water and land. The residual effluent from the industries has depleted the quality of land where agriculture is the major source of income for many people of the State. People think twice before consuming water from natural water basin, even the underground water is not in its pure form. Talking of people who are unaware of the health problems and consume the polluted water from any source is self-inviting water-borne diseases.

 Abstract

Abstract Depiction of social reality has always beckoned the authors, dramatists and poets of all times. In fact it is their commitment to bring out the prevailing social scenario through their works. Indian English writers are not an exception to this dictum. The writers like Raja Rao , Mulk Raj Anad and R K Narayan are the first generation of writers who have evoked the social reality through their epic novels. However after the post-colonialism, there was a second generation of Indian writers like V S Naipaul, Salman Rushdie, Arundhati Roy, Kiran Deasi and Arvind Adiga who have carved a niche in the Indian Writing in English by way of their extraordinary novels. They all are awarded with a Man Booker Prize. It is for their exposition of the contemporary issues like poverty, unemployment, corruption, moral degeneration of the self-centered societies; illiteracy, cultural hegemony, identity etc. Their characters are the spokespersons of the newly evolving society. This paper attempts to discuss the portrayal of the deprived which is one of the prominent themes of the above mentioned writers work. Kiran Desais The Inheritance of the Loss is a novel under the study.

 Abstract

In this system the integration of ultrasonic and total station for railway track geometry surveying system is given. It consist of GPS module, GSM modem, IR sensor, PIR sensor for application of connection purpose, crack detection and finding of human being present in the railway track. The GPS module and GSM modem help us to find and sending of crack location to nearest railway station or control room. In the present, measurement of track distance is done by using high cost LVDT with less accuracy, but use of the less cost ultrasonic sensor for above process with high accuracy is done. In this PIR sensor is used to avoid manual checking of detection of presence of human being in recent trends of application. The importance of this is that, it is applicable both day and night time crack detection purpose.

 Abstract

A strong banking sector is important for flourishing economy. The failure of the banking sector may have an adverse impact on other sector. Non- performing assets (NPA)is one of the major concerns for banks in India. NPAs reflect the performance of banks. The earning capacity and profitability of the banks are highly affected because of the existence of NPAs. A high level of NPAs suggests that large number of credit defaults that affect that affect the profitability and net worth of banks. The public sector banks have shown very good performance over the private sector banks as far as the financial operations are concerned. However the position of public sector banks is not so good in the area of Non-performing assets (NPAs) as compared to private sector banks. In this paper made an attempt to analyses how efficiently the selected public and private sector banks managed their NPAs.

 Abstract

Teachers are the backbone of a countrys economy, quality and prosperity. The future of a country lies in the hands of the teachers as they are the key persons in shaping the next generation. However, Teachers efficiency and effectiveness can be hampered due to different reasons like mood disturbances, psychological distress, stress, anxiety, lowered morale, cardiovascular diseases and fatigues. All the reasons mentioned above are the symptoms of what we generally call as Burnout among teachers. We are many a time unaware that teachers lose interest and efficiency in their profession due to burnout which might be caused due to mental and physical exhaustion resulting from excessive and prolong stress. Therefore, the present study entitled, A study on burnout of secondary school teachers in Aizawl City was taken up in different secondary schools within Aizawl City. It was found from the study that the level of burnout among secondary school teachers was comparatively low which is a good news for the educational system in Mizoram and particularly for the students within Aizawl City. However, it was evident from the study that burnout exists in bits and pieces among teachers which calls for immediate care and attention so that it does not get out of hand. The study also reveals that there is no significant difference among male and female teachers in regard to burnout. However, the mean score indicates that female teachers have higher level of burnout compared to their male counterpart. There is no significant difference in level of burnout between married and unmarried teacher which indicates that marital status of an individual have no effect on the level of burnout in their profession.

 Abstract

This paper focuses on the digital image authentication and forgery localization using demosaicing artifacts. The aim is to make an algorithm allowing a bridge between the color filter array pattern and demosaicing algorithm estimation, and thus the statistical analysis of demosaicing artifacts in spatial domain to reinforce the authentication and localization performance. After analysing the evolution of demosaicing traces privately acquisition pipeline, a robust feature statistic characterizing demosaiced digital images is first developed on the thought of the noise residue of green channel. Such a feature statistic may be a smaller amount sensitive to the edges problem because only the graceful region of green channel is used within the event. Next, one normal mixture model is proposed to elucidate the probability distribution of feature statistics for both original and tampered images. Therefore, normality tests are often used to authenticate automatically digital images. The authentication performance are often further improved by human interpretation of supported graphic tools. Finally, a penalized expectation-maximization algorithm is used to localize forged areas in tampered images. Numerous comparative studies on four well-known datasets show that the developed algorithm yields better performance and robustness than existing forensics algorithms of the same kind

 Abstract

In todays world the expansion of medical field is tremendous. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment planning of different diseases requires the precise information which can be obtained through the image fusion of various modalities of medical images. Images fusion is the process of combining the relevant information from a set of images into a single image, where the resultant fused image will be more informative and complete than any of the input images[1]. Here we are combining images of CT scan and MRI scan of the brain, DWT (Discrete wavelet transform) based image fusion is implemented. Then segmentation process is employed to extract the abnormal areas or affected regions from the fused images and Convolutional Neural Network is used to detect the normal and abnormal brain image. And also an AES encryption technique is employed to convert the report of the fused image to cipher text

 Abstract

Nowadays the endoscopic images captured through video capsule endoscopy is less accurate and high noise. So it is difficult for a doctor for better diagnosis. The captured endoscopic images are less secure so it is easy for unauthorized users to misuse the data. So there is a need for encryption of image. The main challenge in video capsule endoscopic system is its security. In this paper, a data compressor for video endoscopy application is presented. The algorithm consists of Golomb Rice coding. Produces output which have compression ratio of 80% and very high peak signal-to-noise ratio (over 36dB).

 Abstract

Traffic accidents are one of the major issues in todays world. The accident occurs due to our mistakes and also neighboring vehicles mistake. Many systems are developing to avoid this. But the accidents are increasing. In this paper, a system is developed that continuously detects the number plate of neighboring vehicles and sent that through telegram. And also the eye of the driver is monitored continuously to detect the fatigue of driver. If the eye is closed a buzzer alert is produced. The number plate recognition helps the investigators to find the neighboring vehicles if any accident occurs.OCR is used for number plate character extraction. The alert is produced using text to speech alarm.

 Abstract

Nowadays finding parking spaces is a difficult one. The common method of finding a parking space is manual where the driver usually finds a space on the street through luck and experience [1]. In the case of private parking areas, when we want to park our vehicles they provide the parking space if any vacant parking spot is available. Using this system the drivers can easily identify the nearest public parking spot and vacant private parking spot. The drivers can also reserve the vacant private parking spot.

 Abstract

his paper describes the classification of a subset of printed or digitized Gujarati characters. Gujarati belongs to the genre of Devanagari scripts from the Indian subcontinent. Very little work is found in the literature for recognition of Indian language scripts. For this paper a subset of similar appearing Gujarati characters was chosen and subjected to classification by different classifiers. The sample and test images for the characters were obtained from digital images available on the Internet and from scanned images of printed Gujarati text. For their classification, the Euclidean Minimum Distance and the kNearest Neighbor classifiers were used with regular and invariant moments. The characters were also classified in the binary feature space using Hamming Distance classifier. The pa- per presents the recognition rates for these classifiers. A recognition rate is achieved. The work described in this paper is preliminary; however, since ICDAR99 is being held in India, we hope that this would be of interest to the participants.

This study dealt with the study of different types of high school management such as Government school, Private School, Adhoc-aided School and Deficit School of Aizawl City in terms of their students home adjustment, health adjustment, social adjustment and emotional adjustment. The researcher adopted descriptive research method where Bells Adjustment Inventory (BAI- o) developed by Dr. R.K.Ojha (2011) published by National Psychological Corporation, 4/230, Kacheri Ghat, Agra was used as a tool for this study. The population included all class IX students in the high school of Aizawl and the sample consisted of one(1) high school each from Deficit and Ad-Hoc, two(2) High School from Government and five(5) High School from Private management. The selection was done by using stratified random sampling process. The findings revealed that n the area of Home, Health and Social adjustment, Private schools showed the best adjustment. However, the emotional adjustments of different school management systems are very poor and they all fall in the category of very unsatisfactory. Discussions were also presented in the light of the findings.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT: Concrete is strong in compression but weak in tension and brittle also. Cracks also start forming as soon as the concrete is placed. These 3 drawbacks dont permit the use normal concrete in pavements as they lead to lack of ductility along with fracture and failure. These weaknesses in concrete can be mitigated by using fibers as reinforcement in the concrete mix. Waste materials in the form of polyethylene and tires cause environmental pollution which leads to various health problems. Polyethylene and waste tires can be recycled and used effectively in the concrete as reinforcement in the fiber form. Polyethylene is a synthetic hydrocarbon polymer which can improve the ductility, strength, shrinkage characteristics etc. This research deals with the effects of addition of polyethylene fiber on the properties of concrete. Polyethylene and tire fibers were cut into the size of 30mm x 6mm and they were used 1.5% each by volume. Grade of concrete used were M30, M35 and M40. IRC 44:2008 was followed for the design of concrete mix. In this study, the results of the Strength properties of Polyethylene fiber reinforced concrete have been presented. 4 point bending test and double shear test were performed in the laboratory for flexure and shear strength determinations. There was seen an increase of 18% in the 28 day compressive strength along with an increase of 39% in flexure and 32% in shear strength. 22% decrease in 4 point bending test and 36% decrease in double shear test in deflection was found out from the experiments. Theoretical analysis of deflection was carried out by the help of energy methods. Practical values were verified with the theoretical values within the permissible limits. Finally it can be concluded that polyethylene and tire can be used effectively in reinforced cement concrete.

 Abstract

This article aims to give the current scenario of Indian commercial banks. It plays a essential part in the national development. In our economy there are lot of ups and downs in recent times. The banking system forms origin of the money management of any economy. The assimilation of 14 big banks in 1969 and another 6 banks in 1980 and implementation of reforms, appear a change in class and mass banking, traditional banking to e-banking to more profitable, efficient and sound banking system. However, especially the defenseless groups, like as lower category and lower groups of income, carry forward and to go on expected from even the most important services and also some opportunities provided by the financial sector. To issue of such financial exclusion in a holistic manner, it is essential to know about the services given by banks is available to every individual. A important part is being carry on by monetary policy for full betterment across the global to renew monetarily eliminate community and that is counted as 2.5 billion, of which, one third is populated in India. Financial inclusion is taken from the initiatives of United Nations, which extensively reported the important goals of the policy as access to deep limits of economic services to all at an affordable cost, which started its operation efficiently in India in the year 2015.

 Abstract

Electronic voting system satisfying legal requirements has been a challenge to create for a long time. In the world of information technology, distributed ledger technology is a revolutionary technological advancement. Blockchain technologies have an infinite range of applications benefiting from sharing economies. We aim to evaluate the application of blockchain as service to implement distributed electronic voting systems, with this paper we try to provide all the requirements of building electronic voting systems and identifying the legal and technological limitations of using blockchain as a service for realizing such systems. In this project we propose to evaluate various popular blockchain frameworks which offer blockchain as a service, we then will present an innovative electronic voting system based on blockchain that addresses all limitations we came across in due course of our study. Through this project we will strive to evaluate the potentials of using distributed ledger technologies on an Electronic voting system using blockchains,it will study and formulate the basis of elections implementing a blockchain-based application which focuses on improving the security and decreasing the cost of hosting a nationwide election.
