The main purpose of this paper is to develop a true time bus tracking system to boost current public-service corporation system and reduce the workload of bus management team. The poor services provided by public-service corporation providers are because majority of them are still implementing manual work. Moreover, passengers are impatient while they're waiting in stop because they're unable to grasp exactly how long to attend and where the following coming bus is. We are acting on the project to bridging the demand-supply gap, i.e the demand means what percentage people using the town bus and provides is what percentage buses are required to satisfy the demand for his or her safe transportation. the important time bus tracking are provided to user source stop and destination stop therefore the user can conveniently manage his/her Work. Logic used for our project are as follows: (Supply of buses=demand of individuals /capacity of bus) So, in step with the demand of peoples bus are provide on particular time.

The perceptual effects of noise reduction differ between hearing aids. The results agree well with those of normal-hearing listeners in a previous study. None of the noise-reduction algorithms improved speech intelligibility, but all reduced the annoyance of noise. The noise reduction that scored best with respect to noise annoyance and preference had the worst intelligibility scores. The trade-off between intelligibility and listening comfort shows that preference measurements might be useful in addition to intelligibility measurements in the selection of noise reduction. The speech intelligibility of indoor public address systems is degraded by reverberation and background noise. This paper proposes a preprocessing method that combines speech enhancement and inverse filtering to improve the speech intelligibility in such environments. An energy redistribution speech enhancement method was modified for use in reverberation conditions, and an auditory-model-based fast inverse filter was designed to achieve better dereverberation performance. An experiment was performed in various noisy, reverberant environments, and the test results verified the stability and effectiveness of the proposed method.

The response reduction/modification factor(R) is defined as an essential seismic design tool, usually used to specify the in-elasticity expected level in structure during earthquakes. The concept of response reduction/modification factor(R) depends on the observations that well detailed seismic framing systems can maintain large in-elastic deformations without collapse. When a RC structure is subjected to the lateral loads, a base shear, which is prominently higher than the actual structure response, is created. Thus, it possesses a significant amount of over-strength or reserve strength. Over-strength is developed because maximum lateral strength of any RC structure always exceeds its design strength. Once it enters the inelastic phase, it is capable of resisting and absorbing a large amount of seismic energy. Hence, seismic codes introduce a reduction in design loads, taking benefit of the fact that the structure possesses over-strength and ductility as per Asgarian and Shokrgozar (2009).This force reduction factor is called Response Reduction/Modification Factor(R). Furthermore, the aim of this research is to investigate the variation of seismic response of special RC structures with different configurations, such as elevated metro stations. Consequently, the response reduction factor can be evaluated. Then the calculated response reduction/modification factors (R) for reinforced concrete (RC) structures will be compared to those specified in ECP and the ASCE code. For this purpose, a three dimensional Finite Element Method was used for modelling the RC structure using ABAQUS V.6.14 program.

The importance of speaking as a productive skill has been echoed in the literature. Indeed, it is viewed as a crucial part of the curriculum in language teaching and an important object of assessment as well (Luoma, 2004, p. 1). Thus, the prime aim of this study is to explore the prevailing conceptions and actual practices of the assessment of EFL learners speaking skills at the tertiary level. The respondents of the current research were 20 instructors who taught at the Higher Institute of languages in Gabes and at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in Sfax, Tunisia. To collect the necessary data, a questionnaire survey was utilized. The analysis of the course material was also used to supplement the data obtained in the other tools. The findings of the study revealed that the teaching of speaking skills mainly relied on activities like discussions, debate, brainstorming, presentation, dialogue and occasionally on role play. The finding of the study also indicated that there is imbalance between the accuracy and fluency aspects of speaking skills. Most of the classroom activities are accuracy oriented. The same is true for the assessment of speaking skills done. The analysis also revealed that there has been a mismatch between the practices of teaching implemented by the teachers and the pedagogical procedures favored in the assessment of learners speaking skills. The study also identified the students poor language background and fear of making mistakes and lack of encouragement from the teacher as challenges to the teaching and learning of speaking skills.

The article analyzes the problem of energy efficient techniques in cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS). Although it was proven that single-device sensing is not sufficient for reliable sensing, cooperative spectrum sensing was proposed, burdened, however, with great overhead. This paper investigates the issue of robust and efficient cooperative spectrum sensing in CVNs. We propose robust cooperative spectrum sensing via low-rank matrix recovery (LRMR-RCSS) in cognitive vehicular networks to address the uncertainty of the quality of potentially corrupted sensing data by utilizing the real spectrum occupancy matrix and corrupted data matrix, which have a simultaneously low-rank and joint-sparse structure. Considering that the sensing data from crowd cognitive vehicles would be vast, we extend our robust cooperative spectrum sensing algorithm to dense cognitive vehicular networks via weighted low-rank matrix recovery (WLRMR-RCSS) to reduce the complexity of cooperative spectrum sensing.

During the last few decades, it has been revealed that since earthquakes are one of the most common natural disasters, which affect both human life and property, hence design codes shall study all of its parameters that affect it from all sides. To avoid negative effects of earthquake, the nonlinear response of structures under dynamic loading should be accurately modeled in order to ensure safe and sound design. To yield proper results, accurate representative structural models should be developed for the elements resisting lateral loading and representative ground motions pertaining to the site should be employed. Then relating such response to that of elastic behavior should be conducted to correlate response modification factors in design codes with actual response. The main goal of the research is to investigate the effect of number of stories on the seismic response modification factor for reinforced concrete multi-story structures, based on ABAQUS software analysis using two methods of analysis, pushover analysis and time history analysis. For this purpose, experimental results of individually tested RC structures are used in order to verify modeling technique to be adopted.

Sign Language is one among the media of communication for deaf people. One should learn signs to interact with them. Learning usually takes place in peer groups. There exist very few study materials for sign learning. Because of this, the method of learning signing learning may be a difficult task. Fingerspelled sign learning is the initial stage of sign learning and moreover, are used when no corresponding sign exists or signer is not aware of it. Most of the prevailing tools for sign learning use external sensors which are costly. This paper discusses SignQuiz, which can be an economical web-based fingerspelled sign learning application for Indian signing (ISL) utilizing automatic signing recognition technique. It works in two modes, learning and testing. In learning mode, signs are listed and one can learn the signs by clicking on the required ones. In testing mode, the user is tested for the learned signs. SignQuiz helps to find out signs with none external help. This is the first attempt in ISL for learning finger spelled signs using a deep neural network. The results indicate that SignQuiz is best than the printed medium for fingerspelled sign learning

A slope failure is a common occurrence that a slope collapses instantaneously due to weakened the self-retainability of the earth under the influence of various factors such as rainfall, earthquake, geological features, construction activities, external loading rapid drawdown erosion, etc. Generally, four types of failures are Translational, Rotational, Wedge, and rotational failure. This study is to examine and create a wedge failure slope by introducing a shear zone in the slope in clay soil. When the slope is prepared manually in clay with optimum moisture content and proper compaction, the clay itself gives enough stability for the slope. However, in the case of field conditions, the slope will have different strata and not have homogenous soil conditions. To make the manually prepared slope with field condition, a layer of filler material added as a predefined failure plane or shear zone in the slope. The index and engineering properties soil is studied, and three samples such as wood chips sawdust and thermocol balls used to make the shear zone. The interaction study conducted in clay soil with each sample separately using the direct shear test. From the test result, Sawdust with cohesion C 1.37, which gives the least value among the taken samples. Hence, it has chosen to use it in the slope to make it a failure by getting the lowest shear stress and friction between soil and filler material.
