Road lane-line detection is pivotal for autonomous driving systems and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). However, in complex traffic scenes, challenges like shadows, road blurriness, and sparse markings hinder accurate detection and real-time performance. This project addresses these issues by implementing a lane-line detection algorithm using Python and OpenCV. The algorithm enhances detection by preprocessing images, employing techniques like color thresholding and edge detection, and utilizing Hough transform for lane boundary identification. It provides a comprehensive guide covering image processing, computer vision, and OpenCV, along with strategies to overcome challenges. Moreover, it introduces a multi-stage algorithm incorporating preprocessing, feature extraction, instance segmentation for precise lane delineation, and post-processing for refined results. Through experimentation, this approach demonstrates superior performance, ensuring reliable lane detection across diverse road conditions and environments, thereby contributing to the advancement of autonomous driving technology.

In the contemporary era, cardiovascular diseases, including heart attacks, remain a leading cause of mortality. Identifying heart attack risk in its early stages and accurately assessing such risks related to cardiovascular conditions are crucial for proactive patient management and preventive interventions. This research introduces a pioneering deep learning architecture termed "CardioGraphVision" for the early detection of heart attack risks and cardiovascular conditions using retinal images. The proposed methodology integrates Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs) and Vision Transformers (ViTs) to incorporate both local structural information and global contextual understanding from retinal scans. A comprehensive simulation analysis is conducted to assess the performance of CardioGraphVision, which is compared against existing algorithms, and its predictive accuracy is measured using pertinent simulation metrics. By conceptualizing retinal images as graph nodes and leveraging self-attention mechanisms, the proposed algorithm achieves precise and efficient feature extraction, essential for early detection of heart attack risk and cardiovascular conditions. To gauge CardioGraphVision's efficacy, diverse simulation experiments are carried out using an extensive dataset of retinal images. Through these comparisons, the predictive accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and computational efficiency of CardioGraphVision are established. Simulation results demonstrate that CardioGraphVision surpasses existing algorithms in terms of accuracy and sensitivity for early detection of heart attack risk and cardiovascular conditions. Moreover, the algorithm's ability to effectively analyze retinal images with reduced computational overhead further augments its practical relevance.

Many major cities in India are now experiencing severe water shortage, impacting millions of people. The data indicates that only a small number of Indian cities have effective water management systems in place despite the increasing population of the nation. The research papers address the imminent water issue in India. India's reduced monsoon rainfall is attributed to climate change, fast and unplanned urbanization, uncontrolled development, and lack of effective water management planning. Both towns had severe water shortages in recent years, particularly impacting vulnerable communities. The case studies analyse the systemic risk and main factors leading to the water crisis in two cities, along with its social, physical, and economic consequences. The studies also provide solutions to address the problem. The research indicates that failed agriculture, political tensions in urban and rural regions, economic issues from company closures, and a rising number of farmer suicides have led to a significant influence on socio-economic, environmental, and political systems. The case study proposes preventive, mitigative, and preparatory actions for proactive urban management. The research study examines actions performed at a local level to mitigate water crises and the main problems encountered in risk management. The research study emphasizes the importance of taking proactive measures for long-term sustainability and resilience-building. It also advocates for promoting social behaviour change communication campaigns and capacity-building programs among stakeholders and citizens to effectively manage risks.

The polarities of democracy framework is founded on critical theory ideas that seek to achieve social change by overcoming oppression and violence, which both endanger humanity's survival. Benet expanded the theory by utilizing Johnson's concept of polarity management as a conceptual framework. Viewing the polarities of democracy model as a unifying paradigm can help in organizing, leading, and evaluating democratic social change activities aimed at creating healthy, sustainable, and just communities. According to the argument, Democracy is seen as a remedy for oppression rather than a mere dichotomy. In order to reach that point, it's important to recognize the presence of 10 values, with each being crucial on its own yet not enough individually, forming five polarity pairs. The study aimed to explore the perspectives of Haitian educators and other instructors familiar with public education in rural areas on the challenges and opportunities for enhancing access to quality public secondary education in places such as Pointe L'Abacou, Haiti. Throughout the study, all five pairs were considered, but three pairings of the polarities of democracy theory were used to address this gap

Abstract--Financial services are being used everywhere and function with high complexity. With the increase in the usage of online modes for transacting throughout the world it is seen that the frauds too are increasing alarmingly in this sector. An automated Fraud Detection System is thus required to tackle this issue. Over the years, many techniques are being tried in order to efficiently tackle this issue. With millions of transaction taking place it is practically impossible to take care of this by manually checking for frauds. With that being said, speed and accuracy is needed while building such systems. Our system provides better accuracy rather than only works in these areas but also which in-turn will end up saving a lot of resources and the cost incurred. Our aim with this research is to provide a robust, cost effective, efficient yet accurate solution to find or detect frauds in both online payment transactions and payments that take place with credit cards. The proposed solution is a Machine Learning model that will serve the purpose of detecting 'Fraudulent' and 'Genuine' transactions in real time. This is very beneficent to all the sectors that are even mildly aligned to finance or make use of it. The solution will help them to analyse based on different factors if the ongoingtransaction can be harmful and will prevent many unfortunate incidents. Index Terms--fraud detection, credit card, online payments, fraudulent, genuine.
