 Abstract

The people of Kashmir has been largely depended on agriculture for their livelihood. The agricultural economy was dominated by the rice crop cultivation and was supported by the geographical setting as well. As the rice crop cultivation mostly depended on the irrigation, its organization has become one of the main concerns of the people and the rulers. Both of them had devised a number of measures to harness the irrigation potential and increase the production. The sultans played a significant role in the organization of the irrigational works and brought prosperity to the region under their rule. Therefore, in this paper an attempt has been made to study the role of the sultans in the irrigational works.

 Abstract

Face detection and recognition are two important areas of research in computer vision that have received significant attention over the past few decades. With the increasing availability of image and video data, automated identification of individuals based on their facial features has become an essential task in many applications, including security, surveillance, human-computer interaction, and entertainment. This survey paper provides an overview of the state-of-the-art in face detection and recognition, focusing on the techniques and approaches used for automated identification of individuals based on their facial features. The paper first discusses the fundamentals of face detection, including the challenges involved in detecting faces in real-world images and videos, such as varying illumination conditions, occlusion, and pose variations. Further, the paper also presents an in-depth analysis of various methods employed in face detection, including traditional techniques such as Viola-Jones, as well as more recent deep learning-based approaches such as Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs). Finally, the paper concludes by providing insights into future directions for research in face detection and recognition.

 Abstract

Shodhana chikitsa mentioned in Ayurveda grantha helps in expelling out the vitiated dosha from the body. Most of the procedures are stressful for the body and it will take time to regain the initial strength. For that all the Acharyas have mentioned a specific time period for following specific pathya krama which is known as parihara kala. For all the procedures including snehana and swedana, there are chances of fluid loss, electrolyte imbalance, mild inflammation and other muscle fatigueness. These procedures also compromise agni bala and sareera bala. So to regain all these, the body will need a certain time period. Hence there is a need of parihara kala after each procedure.

 Abstract

Ra?gama?lika, literally means, 'a garland of ra?ga-s'. Da??vat?ra refers to the ten avatar-s of Lord Vishnu in the Hindu mythology. Many Karnatic music composers have mentioned these da??vat?ra-s in their compositions. These are mostly set in the ra?gama?lika format, so that the complete composition can be presented with its theme intact. This article aims at analysing two of such da??vat?ra ra?gama?lika-s in regards to its structural and melodic content in great detail.

 Abstract

A critical review was done to study about Kirkpatrick model of training evaluation and its operation through different papers and websites in different interval of time and in different surrounds. substantially for the composition, Google Scholar was preferred and only many of them were penetrated from Google and others. This review substantially focuses on different phases of Kirkpatrick model and the impact of each phase on trainee. Kirkpatrick Four- position training evaluation model is veritably effective way to measure how well the training performed. The model was created by Donald Kirkpatrick (1959) and after it has experienced several updates and variations. It assesses response in position 1, learning in position 2, gets in position 3 and eventually affect in position 4. On advancing from one position to other the evaluation significance also goes on adding. Indeed, though the model is extensively preferred but isn't suitable in all cases as it can be so important time and resource consuming. So, one who's going to use this model should originally assess the applicability of this model at that condition and apply it, so that the anticipated ideal of training evaluation can be achieved successfully and directly.

 Abstract

Taxes are paid to everything around us. The government collects toll taxes at toll plazas, where the vehicle needs to stop and pay the tax to travel any further. In the fiscal year 2021, approximately 15000 crores were collected as toll tax. Even though the existing toll collection has reduced the waiting time near the toll plaza, there are problems associated with it. As the number of vehicles passing through the toll plaza increases, so does the traffic near the plaza. Access to the emergency lane is limited to ambulances and VIPs, but there is no option for the common person who is in a hurry or has an emergency to use the emergency lane near the toll plaza. Our focus is to provide an option for the common people to use the emergency lane or to skip the traffic near the toll plaza. To provide this option, we use an automatic number plate recognition system with the additional feature of pre-booking toll tickets. This system addresses the issue of the vehicle owner who is in an emergency and does not have the option to skip the queue near the toll plaza.

 Abstract

The history of freedom struggle in India is a unique, long and complex story. The main battles were fought through mass movement but the formation of Indian National Congress and to counteract some imperialistic policies and programmes through it has help to arouse national consciousness in all hearts of Indian peoples along with it also greatly impacted to regional states, among which Orissa was one of them. After introduction of Government Indian Act 1935 Indian leaders were fully utilized this act to expose the evil designs of the colonial power and to present our demands for constitution advancement and self-rule. Through this act the first congress ministry was formed in Orissa and it lasted for about 28 months. After coalition ministry that again congress brought to power in Orissan politics from 1946 and it was in power when the goal of independence was reached. This kind of national consciousness help to the Orissan leaders to integration of the feudatory states in a "United Utkal". As a result, the current work examines the Indian National Congress's position in Orissan politics from a wider perspective and shows how the role and accomplishments of the provincial congress ministry helped the Orissan speaking people to unite in a one territory and free themselves from the foreign yoke.

 Abstract

Udaipur district is situated in the Southern part of Rajasthan. For a very long time, it has been considered a harbor for tourists both foreign and domestic as shown by various reports and statistics. Udaipur is very well known for its rich culture, heritage, mesmerizing forts and palaces and beautiful lakes. These attractive tourist destinations have somehow overshadowed the natural resources of the Udaipur district. This trend has started to change over the past few years with the wildlife sanctuaries of the district getting tourists visiting these areas the whole year. Ecotourism has been emerging in the district at a gradual pace. In this paper, we have studied wildlife sanctuaries of the Udaipur district and the impacts of ecotourism on the development of indigenous communities in the region.

 Abstract

This article takes a look at the birth control movement as a part of women's rights movement in the early 20th century India. It charts the trajectory of the rise of the idea of birth control first in England and thence its spread in India where concern for a rising population and high rates of maternal and infant mortality triggered such discussions from the 1920s onwards. The issue was taken up diffidently by Indian women's organizations such as the AIWC, the National Council of Women and others. Consequently, the country saw the visit of international advocates on birth control and contraception such as Margaret Sanger and Edith Howe. However, the question received a mixed response among the Indian intelligentsia, socio political reformers and women themselves. Most discussions, on this highly private yet inflammatory matter, focused only on population control from the eugenics point of view and mooted late marriages, via a stricter implementation of the Sarda Act, or the Gandhian panacea in the form of continence. Gender, caste, class and religious divide made the issue even more contentious. The general consensus, on birth control via contraception, if recommended at all, nonetheless veered more towards the idea that it was for the poorer masses who reproduced irresponsibly. The article therefore argues that the birth control advocacy in India was inspired by fears of the 'yellow peril' and the debates on this issue completely overlooked women's sexuality while their right over their bodies was put on a backburner as they were merely looked upon as agencies of reproduction.

Narayan is one of those intellectuals who is obsessed with glorifying Indian culture; however, in his later novels, he appears to mock orthodoxy conservatism. As in The Dark Room, The English Teacher, Mr. Sampath, The Guide, and The Painter of Sign, Narayan was aware of the repression and segregation that women faced in their families on a daily basis; they couldn't decide for themselves, and they couldn't protest their oppressor. Narayan's characters defy social conventions and traditions. However, because they were raised with traditional religious values, they eventually return to their original station, accepting defeat and futility of action. The current paper focuses on the problem of gender-based violence, which goes beyond mental torture, and on the problem of violence as it affects Indian women. In this paper, I will look at R. K. Narayan's approach to women's emancipation in his writings. Women in India are either glorified or despised; on the one hand, they are worshipped, but on the other, they are treated as little better than slaves. Narayan was sensitive to women's problems. The writer's perception of women in Indian society and their relationship is revealed in this paper.
