The aim of the study is to develop a mix of geopolymer concrete with different binder ratios, and to find an optimum mix by comparing the compressive strength, and then the optimum mix is compared with conventional concrete. Geopolymer concrete are representing the most promising and eco-friendly alternative to Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). It is the result of the reaction of materials containing alumino silicates with concentrated alkaline solution to produce inorganic polymer binder. The geopolymer concrete used in this study consists of fly ash, ground granulated blast furnace slag, alkaline liquid, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. For alkaline liquid combination ratio of sodium silicate to sodium hydroxide was fixed as 2.5. Geopolymer concrete shows brittle failure during compressive strength test, hence steel fibers are added to improve ductility. Flexural strength test and split tensile strength test are conducted in order to study the ductile behaviour of fiber added geopolymer concrete

Signalized intersections are the important points or nodes inside a system of highways and streets. To explain some measure of effectiveness to evaluate a signalized intersection or to explain the standard of operations could be a tough task. Saturation flow is a very important parameter within the capacity analysis of signalized intersection. The ability to predict saturation flows is important to the design of signalized intersections to avoid congestion from occurring. Saturation flows are often measured directly in the field using standard strategies or expected from other known factors for a new signal installation. As the project could be a large health campus including emergency services, it's necessary to assess its accessibility at these intersections by determining the levels of service (LOS), which is that the objective of this study. The estimation of LOS for a signalized intersection needs the determination of management delay which has uniform, incremental and initial queue delays

Violence against women is a common happening in most societies whether the violence is physical or mental. People often think of domestic violence only in terms of the black eyes and harms that can be seen. In reality, domestic violence is a pattern of assaultive and coercive behaviors that abusive men use to control their intimate partners. Domestic violence, however, is neither random nor disorganized. It is a complex pattern of gradually frequent and harmful physical, sexual, psychological, or the threat of such abuse, behaviors that frighten, intimidate, manipulate, hurt, humiliate, blame, injure or inflicted against a woman by a person intimately connected to her through marriage, family relation, or acquaintanceship is universal and has its root in the socio-cultural set up of the society. This research paper conducts to know the nature, extent and type of domestic violence and factors affecting of domestic violence against rural women. The study was conducted among 200 women in rural area of Karnal district of Haryana State through survey method. Out of two hundred respondents more than one-third of respondents (38%) faced domestic violence in various forms.Analysis depicted that nature and extent of violence, slapping/pushing /twisting arm got first rank.Age, occupation of the respondent, mass media exposure and socio economic status significantly associated with domestic violence faced by women.

The technology of e-metering (Electronic Metering) has gone through rapid technological advancements and there is increased demand for a reliable and efficient Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) system. Electricity is one of the fundamental necessities of human beings, which is commonly used for domestic, industrial and agricultural purposes. This report presents the design of a simple low cost wireless GSM energy meter for automating billing and managing the collected data globally. The proposed system replaces traditional meter reading methods and enables remote access of existing energy meter by the energy provider. A GSM based wireless communication module is integrated with electronic energy meter of each entity to have remote access over the usage of electricity. A PC with a GSM receiver at the other end, which contains the database acts as the billing point. Also, the energy provider can monitor the meter readings regularly without the person visiting each house by sending the information of the energy consumed to the user via SMS, and to the controlling Base station.

Distinctive routing systems designed for wireless network are application agnostic, to overcome this we consider a wireless network where the application flows consists of video traffic. Implementation of resistant distortion in video streaming is very typical by user, Video streaming in MANETs is most Challenging issue and it mainly affected by factors like node mobility, dynamic change in topology, multi path shadowing and fading, collusion, interference and many more. The dynamic change in topology causes periodic connectivity which results in large packet loss. Video streaming in real time requires special techniques that can overcome the losses of packets. To account for the evolution of the video frame loss process, we construct an analytical framework to, first, understand and, second, assess the impact of the wireless network on video distortion. The framework allows us to formulate a routing policy for minimizing distortion, based on which we design a protocol for routing video traffic. Here in this paper we have studied and reviewed many issues and different techniques present for video streaming over MANETs. This paper contain work done in the field of video streaming in MANETs and guide newcomers who are willing to work in video streaming in MANETs.

The heat generated in CVT during high load conditions is huge and leads to high thermal loads. Particularly, rubber belt suffers from high temperature peaks and their life span reduces significantly. Thus, expansion of belt due to heating results in loss of transmission efficiency and less durability of CVT parts. Thermal analysis had been carried out in the earlier researches which calculate the temperature of the belt and the pulley. During running condition, CVT temperature may exceed 150 ?C which then reduces lifespan of the rubber belt. Thus, sufficient cooling must be provided to CVT. Being a delicate task for open CVT system, it becomes even worse for enclosed CVT system. But enclosing of CVT is required in order to protect the system from dust, mud and water to avoid belt slipping. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approach is used to analyze the temperature distribution of pulley and belt. The problem is being solved using steady-state method since transient approach is not feasible. Transient simulation increases the computational time as well as cost. In our work, our focus is on increasing the life span of belt by maintaining the belt temperature at or below 150 ?C. Proper analysis were carried out to study the flow behavior of the air inside of CVT casing. Thus our aim is to design a closed CVT casing to increase the flowrate of air for cooling the belt as well as pulleys.
