 Abstract

We are working on this project in Hindustan Forging and Steel Industry, Wagle Estate, Thane (West), were heat treatment process are carried out on various steel shafts, gear blanks and square blocks which are used by various companies. There are various furnace of different size are on shop floor of company for heating purpose in heat treatment process. We are study on a furnace to increase their efficiency for better utilization of fuel (gas as fuel). There are some methods we were going to focus to increasing efficiency of furnace are as follows: i. Selection of Blower, ii. Selection of Refractory, iii. Insulation , iv. Recuperator for utilization of exhaust gas leaving from furnace (Heat Exchanger). Also to increase efficient process of polymer quenching by suggesting best polymer for better quenching and better maintaining physical properties of material.

 Abstract

The main aim of the project is to improvise the quality of scrap and to reduce the time required for separation of scrap and oil so as to consume less time in separation of scrap and to get good value of scrap. As a part of industrial project under the syllabus prescribed for Mechanical Engineering, we as a group are working with collaboration of VERMA ENTERPRISES Pvt. Ltd. The various type of scrap is generated in the company. A new system for separation of scrap & oil tends to improve functionally, longer service life, consumes less time, easy installation, user friendliness and ensuring proper optimization of cost, material, timing as well as the prevention of wastage of oil.

 Abstract

-In this project we are going to design the multi cutter hacksaw machine which helps in cutting four workpieces at a time in industry. This is done with the help of using a motor of 960 rpm two pulleys a belt square pipes vice hacksaw circular rods and hollow pipes and linkages. This machine can be used in the small scale industry to reduce the production time such as cutting the angles, plates, circular rod, woods and aluminium materials etc. This machine works on the principle of scotch yoke mechanism. Which converts the rotary motion of the pulley into linear motion of the linkages and the corresponding hacksaws. This initiative is taken to reduce the cost of production and reduce the time of the operating cycle .The main advantage of this machine is we can adjust no. of working areas in the machince which are going to function, as we are going to provide an arrangement for the cutting hacksaws to disconect the machine which is not in function or the load of production is low .

 Abstract

This Reasearch paperinvestigates theeffect of wind lensewhich is shrouded diffuser with brim ringat the outlet. The purpose of adding this diffuser-ring configuration is to increase the extractable power of thewind approaching the wind turbine. The essential concept used is enhancing the possibility of the free stream velocity at the rotor in order to extract much larger power by increased velocity at the rotor. This is due to a low-pressure region behind the brim, due to a strong vortex formation, which drew more mass flow to the wind turbine inside the diffuser shroud. A computational study has been carried out in order to assess the effect of brim size and position of the throat on the increase in velocity of the wind.

 Abstract

In India for short distance transportation people are commonly use Auto rickshaw due to less fair and traffic problems.. The vibration is common in most of the vehicles and it is more in three wheeler vehicles because of its dynamic nature. Waves of energy of vibration transfers into the body of the driver are transmitted through the body tissues, organs and systems of individual causing various effects on the structure within the body before it is dampened and dissipated. The vehicles vibration produces physiological effects on humans. In the present work we modified the driver seat and experimental work is carried to measure the magnitude of vibration produced on driver through FFT analyzer and acceleration level is analyzed and compared with original seat and modified seat at different road profiles (Rough, Bumpy, Urban, Highway) different speed condition (10kmph, 20Kmph, 30Kmph) and different age groups of drivers (30 yrs, 40 Yrs) and Survey has been carried out. As per International Organization of Standard ISO (2631) vibration evaluated with respect to whole body vibration considering frequency 0.5-80 Hz.

 Abstract

The objective of our project is to design and fabricate an independent suspension quad bike. It is aimed to simulate a real world engineering design project and meet the associated challenges. It involves thorough planning and manufacturing tasks when introducing a new product to the consumer industrial market. Our primary focus is to design a single sitter high-performance off-road vehicle with independent double wishbone type suspensions that will impart ruggedness for the rough roads and provide with maximum safety and driver comfort. The reverse gear system is also installed in quad bike which provides the comfort to drive the vehicle. Due to use of reverse gear box it is easy to drive vehicle in reverse direction. The design is for safety of driver.

 Abstract

Driver seat in the automobile is an important system. There are so many parts in the driver seat which made it a complicated system.adjustments as well as safety systems. A seat adjustment includes height adjustment, fore and aft adjustment, back recline adjustments. Safety systems include seat belts, air bags and advanced head restraints. Generally professional driver works more than eight hours per day of a week, therefore driver seat must be designed by considering all the parameters. Also uneven road condition induces the vibration in a vehicle transmitted to driver body. Poorly designed driver seat affects the driver health and psychological conditions of mind. Three main objectives of any driver seats are safety, health and comfort of driver. This paper presents all the parameters of driver seat such as anthropometry of human, ergonomics related parameters, seat materials, safety related parameters, comfort related parameters as well as weight and aesthetics with classifications and basics of driver seat.

An accurate understanding of the hydrological behaviour of a watershed is important for effective management. The most popular method used for runoff estimation is NRCS-CN method. The Runoff curve number is a key factor in determining Runoff in the NRCS based hydrological modelling method.  Abstract

We are living in an age where tasks and systems are fusing together with the power of IOT to have a more efficient system of working and to execute jobs quickly! With all the power at our finger tips this is what we have come up with. In this paper, garbage monitoring system is implemented with IoT. This system monitors all the dustbins located throughout the city and compare it with the garbage bins depth. The ultrasonic sensors are used for detection of the dustbins status. When the level of the dustbin reaches the threshold limit, the device will transmit the level along with the unique ID provided to that dustbin. These details can be accessed by the concern authorities from their place with the help of internet and an immediate action can be made to clean the dustbins. This is our solution, a method in which waste management is automated. This project IoT Garbage Monitoring system is a very innovative system which will help to keep the cities clean. This system monitors the garbage bins and informs about the level of garbage collected in the garbage bins via a web page. This web page also send all information to garbage collection vehicles.

 Abstract

Pattern matching is the process of finding occurrences of a pattern string in a text or character string. Pattern matching is the basic requirement in many applications such as spell checking, spam filtering, geometry, network traffic data, DNA and protein sequences, etc. Circular Pattern occurs in the DNA of bacteria, viruses, archaea, etc. A linear string having length n can be considered as a circular string, in which end symbols are connected thus forming a circular string. The circular string is considered as n different linear strings, all will be considered equal. Nowadays biologists are interested in finding the approximate patterns. Approximate pattern matching is the technique of finding pattern string that match a pattern approximately rather than exactly. In practical experiments errors may occur due to natural mutations in the DNA of virus, practical limitations of the lab equipments that may introduce errors, etc. Due to these reasons we need to find the approximate circular patterns. The proposed system aims to find the presence of approximate circular pattern with k number of mismatches from the input stream. If the approximate circular pattern exists the system returns the pattern. Also the proposed system finds the presence of any pattern in the input stream.
