 Abstract

Sexual harassment is more than a social issue, as it impacts on worker productivity, employee communication and organizational morale. These are direct costs to industry, combined with indirect costs such as worker discontent, absenteeism and stress. It includes requests for sexual favors, sexual advances or other sexual conduct when submission is either explicitly or implicitly a condition affecting academic or employment decisions, the behavior is sufficiently severe or pervasive as to create an intimidating hostile or repugnant environment or the behavior persists despite objection by the person to whom the conduct is directed. Due to the inherent characteristics, service organizations are a prime breeding ground for such harassment. This study reviews and analyzed full-length articles published in refereed academic journals related to issues and challenges of sexual harassment in different industries. At the end of the database search and the reading of the articles, a total of 19 published studies were determined to be relevant and were included in the analysis. Paper also proposed a theoretical model on the basis of literature review which lay the foundation for further research in this area.

 Abstract

Concrete made with natural light weight aggregate originating from hard rock has a density within a narrow range (300kg/m3-1840kg/m3) because of their low specific gravity while that of normal concrete lies between (2200kg/m3-2600kg/m3).Lightweight concrete (LWC) has been used for more than 2,000 years (ACI 213R) (American Concrete Institute [ACI], 2003). Early notable LWC structures include the Port of Cosa, the Pantheon Dome, and the Coliseum. In modern times, structural LWC structures are widely used but to a much lesser extent than normal weight concrete. The essential characteristics of light weight aggregates are its high porosity, which results in a low apparent specific gravity. Some light weight aggregates occurs naturally; others are manufactured from natural materials or from industrial by-products.

 Abstract

Bond strength is one among the important property of hardened concrete. Bond between the reinforcement and concrete influences the behavior of structural concrete in many respects. The quality and quantity of ingredients used for making the concrete affect the bond strength of concrete. The addition of mineral admixtures like fly ash, silica fume, rice husk ash etc. into the cement by means of replacing the cement content is nowadays considering as an important matter for protecting the environment against any hazardous situations and also recycling the waste by-products into an effective manner. But, the addition of mineral admixtures affects the structural system of cement and also in concrete. It also leads to the variations in the properties of concrete both fresh and hardened state. With these in mind, the bond strength variations of ternary blended concrete were examined in this experimental investigation and compared with the normal strength concrete. The class F type Fly Ash (FA) was used for making the binary blended concrete. In addition to that Silica Fume (SF) and Rice Husk Ash were (RHA) considered for developing the ternary blended concrete.

 Abstract

Abstract: The Criminal Tribes Act had its origin in the report of the Indian Police Commission of 1902 - 1903. The Commission laid down the principle that it should be the aim of every police station to obtain knowledge and too have secret supervision over all the persons addicted to crime. Muthuramalinga Thevar, a political leader and a powerful orator, attacked vehemently the Criminal Tribes Act and asked the people to defy the Black law. This was one of the political activities which gained him fame and name.

 Abstract

AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. AJAX is a new technique for creating better, faster, and more interactive web applications with the help of XML, HTML, CSS, and Java Script. Ajax uses XHTML for content, CSS for presentation, along with Document Object Model and JavaScript for dynamic content display. Conventional web applications transmit information to and from the sever using synchronous requests. It means you fill out a form, hit submit, and get directed to a new page with new information from the server. With AJAX, when you hit submit, JavaScript will make a request to the server, interpret the results, and update the current screen. In the purest sense, the user would never know that anything was even transmitted to the server. XML is commonly used as the format for receiving server data, although any format, including plain text, can be used. AJAX is a web browser technology independent of web server software. A user can continue to use the application while the client program requests information from the server in the background. Intuitive and natural user interaction. Clicking is not required, mouse movement is a sufficient event trigger. Data-driven as opposed to page-driven

 Abstract

Now a days predicting the motion has become important in our daily lives. Most of the traffic monitoring systems have been using the motion equipment for the estimation of motion of the particular vehicle. Motion Estimation and vehicles segmentation is an interesting solution for the efficient traffic monitoring system. Segmentation of moving vehicles in a scene is very much seen in applications such as robotics, video coding techniques, video surveillance, video indexing. One of the key elements of a traffic monitoring system is the motion analysis component, which segments vehicles from the scene and estimates the motion on the image plane. The objective of the paper is to find the methods that can be used efficiently to extract vehicles from the background in captured video frame and to apply the techniques of motion estimation and segmentation. We have applied Lucas Kanade algorithm to a reference frame and determined the motion vectors of the vehicles. We then extended this by applying segmentation to the reference frame to segment the vehicles from the background and then applied Lucas Kanade algorithm. Lukas Kanade algorithm is selected due to its efficiency in video coding standards and its simplicity for software implementations. This processed information will provide a brief information about the vehicle count, vehicle motion and turning rates at the cross road junction and also in video coding techniques.

 Abstract

MapReduce is the program model and an association implementation for processing and generating large data sets. User specify a map function that process a key/value pair to generate a set of intermediate key/value pairs and a reduce function that merge all intermediate values associated with the same intermediate key. MapReduce is important Programming model for building data centres containing ten thousands of nodes. In a Practical data, I/O bound jobs and CPU-bounds jobs, which demand different resources, run simultaneously in the same cluster. In this Paper we gives a new view of the MapReduce model and classify the MapReduce workload into three categories based on their CPU and I/O Utilization. We Design a new dynamic MapReduce workload predict mechanism, MR-Predict mechanism, which detect the workload types on the fly. We propose a Triple-Queue scheduler based on the MR-Predict mechanism. The Triple-Queue could improve the usage of both CPU and disk I/O resources under heterogeneous workload.

 Abstract

The argument postulate in favour of demoneitization is that the cash that would be extinguished would be black money and hence, should be impartially extinguished to set right the perverse incentive structure in the economy. While the facts are not available to anybody, it would be reckless to argue that this is the only possibility. Therefore, it is imperative to evaluate the short run and medium-term impacts that such a shock is expected to have on the economy. Further, the impact of such a move would vary depending on the extent to which the government decides to remonetise. This paper explains the impact of such a move of demonetization taken by Central Government of India on 8th November, 2016 with respect to its reasons and effects on different sectors in India such as on the availability of credit, spending, level of activity and government finances . The area covered in this sectors are Micro Businesses, E-Wallet businesses, online retail stores and so on. This research is based on secondary data collected from different newspapers and online sources, mentioned in references. The findings of this study reveal that, India will achieve a significant growth by adapting the demonetization strategy and it will create a huge positive impact on the entire economy in a long run.

 Abstract

This paper is focused on the properties of the yarns spun from ring and rotor spinning system, spun using bamboo / cotton blends and used for the development of the denim apparel fabrics. Twenty carded yarn samples of linear densities Ne 10 and Ne 16 were spun in three blend proportions of 70:30 B/C , 50:50 B/C and 30:70 B/C , and also in 100% cotton and bamboo fibers produced using ring and rotor spinning systems. Yarn quality like Unevenness (U %), Imperfections, Single yarn tenacity / elongation, yarn friction and yarn abrasion were evaluated. The experimental results indicated that the 100% bamboo yarns spun on the two spinning systems for both the counts Ne 10 & Ne 16 exhibited better evenness, lower imperfections, higher breaking strength and good abrasion resistance than 100% normal cotton yarns as compared to the other four yarn samples. Whereas among the ring and rotor spinning systems, better evenness, lower imperfections, higher elongation at break and good abrasion resistance were observed in the rotor spun yarns in all the blends as compared to its counterpart ring spinning system. However, single yarn tenacity of the rotor yarns were found to be lower than the ring yarns in all the blends. It is due to its bipartite yarn structure and the presence of wrapper fibers on the sheath of the rotor yarns. Yarn friction in both the counts does not show any significant difference in ring and rotor spinning systems. Among the three blend proportions, 70:30 B/C had resulted better quality characteristics than the other blends in both the spinning systems.

 Abstract

Data mining is the process of extracting essential and required information and discovering patterns from a large amount of data. Crime analysis is a systematic way to deal with distinguishing and examining trends and patterns in crime. With the expanding of automated frameworks, crime information investigators can help the Law requirement officers to accelerate the way toward illuminating violations. The crime data analysts can help the Law implementation officers to accelerate the way toward settling crimes. The proposed framework can anticipate locales which have a high likelihood of crime event and can imagine crime inclined zones. Rather than concentrating on cause or reason of crime event, we are concentrating principally on crime elements of every day. Based on the area recommended a Better officer can be recommended.
