Without pulling or pushing the lever, the parking brake will not work. Also, sometimes due to negligence or in emergency conditions, we humans often forget to apply parking brakes. This may lead to rolling of vehicle in case of slopes and collision with other vehicles in parking area. Sometimes if service brake fails parking brakes are used as an emergency brake to stop the vehicle. This thesis provides a new concept design of the parking brake system that has simple and low-cost characteristics. This research deals with designing and analysis of such mechanism for anti-roll back effect. In this work the mechanism has been developed to stop the vehicle from rolling backwards when the vehicle is moving in the hill roads. Ratchet and Pawl mechanism has been identified to arrest the motion to the front axle. Anti-Roll Back mechanism has been design and analysis by using CAD tool like Solid work 2016 for checking design possibility as per application on the front axle assembly. The mechanism works well.

DNA fingerprinting and allied technologies, though helpful in criminal justice administration are contributing to creation of DNA databases consisting of the profiles of people whose DNA profiles are required for convicting or exonerating the accused from amongst many other uses. But how far it is relevant to retain the DNA profiles in the databases is an ongoing controversy upon which many learned minds have come to a consensus excepting that it is in the context of the profiles of adults. This research paper examines the manner in which, the necessity of and the time period for which the DNA profiles of delinquent Juveniles has to be collected and stored in databases. It also examines the provisions of The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 considering the fact that there is no mention of this aspect of storing of DNA fingerprints of Juveniles in DNA databases. Therefore, this paper researches into the rights of juveniles in the technological era, with special reference to whether the DNA fingerprints of children who have committed serious offences or heinous crimes should be stored in DNA databases and trying to answer this primary question in the light of the principles of, 1. presumption of innocence, 2. right to privacy and confidentiality, 3. a fresh start and 4. diversion as prescribed by The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, in order to achieve the goals, as enumerated in the Act.

From past several time, there has been gradually increase the demand of automobile vehicle for transportation purpose, it is due to increases the population of world day by day. The basic requirement of people is to get more power and less pollution. It will be achieve by proper combustion of fuel inside the combustion chamber and further combustion of fuel will be achieve by proper fuel spray behavior. Fuel spray directly related to cavitation. Cavitation is depends on the geometry of nozzle, fuel properties, inlet and outlet condition of injection nozzle. Effort will be made to understand this phenomena and its effect on fuel injector nozzle. Present study focus on qualitative and quantitative comparison of Cfd model.

The most commonly used refrigeration system operates on vapor compression system which consumes high amount of high-grade energy. Also its refrigerants cause environmental problems. Hydrocarbon refrigerants provides best alternative to the conventional halogenated refrigerants in terms of environmental impacts, efficiency and energy consumption. They also have zero ODP and very low GWP. Another way to improve system efficiency and to decrease energy consumption is introduction of nanoparticles in refrigerants (nanorefrigerants) and lubricants (nanolubricants). The aim of this paper is to present a comprehensive review about previous studies regarding application of hydrocarbon refrigerants, nanorefrigerants and nanolubricants in refrigeration systems. Previous results showed that hydrocarbon refrigerants and their mixture can be used as an alternative to halogenated refrigerants for the improvement of various factors such as environmental impacts, efficiency, and COP. Also addition of nanoparticles improves compressor performance, cooling speed and energy consumption.

In recent times the concept of smart cities has gained grate popularity. Thanks to the evolution of Internet of things the idea of smart city now seems to be achievable. Consistent efforts are being made in the field of IoT in order to maximize the productivity and reliability of urban infrastructure. Problems such as, traffic congestion, limited car parking facilities and road safety are being addressed by IoT. In this paper, we present an IoT based cloud integrated smart parking system. The proposed Smart Parking system consists of an on-site deployment of an IoT module that is used to monitor and signalize the state of availability of each single parking space. A mobile application is also provided that allows an end user to check the availability of parking space and book a parking slot accordingly. The paper also describes a high-level view of the system architecture. Towards the end, the paper discusses the working of the system in form of a use case that proves the correctness of the proposed model.

Frauds in banking sector are increasing. This is a result of intruders using willful means. These fraudsters pose themselves as an authentic party to the transaction for small span of time and vanish after scam. The Indian financial institutions have grown to multiple folds after 1991 and equally faced challenges post liberalization. This has happened despite this sector was well supervised and handled through government regulations but the negative elements have also learnt to evolve newer ways to find alternate ways for doing frauds. The paper tries to highlight issues related mortgage, home loan and auto loan frauds, credit card frauds in recent times. The report touches upon the case of fraud instances caught during credit appraisal process. It emphasizes more upon KYC frauds and alternate routes opted by fraudsters to pose themselves under fitment of credit worthiness during loan approval. The observations suggest the way ahead in eradicating fraud losses and also highlights the roles of underwriting teams and audit departments of financial institutions. Role of credit underwriting team is essential as it is a deciding factor on disbursal of all ticket size across industry.

In case of pressure vessel and heat exchanger two ends of shell are joined with the channel or any other mating component by means of flanged coupling or any other but if joined by flanged coupling sometimes it is also called as body flange. For design purpose, we need to check whether it is necessary to design a body flange first. Reason is custom flange will be much more costly as such kind of custom flanges are fabricated according to needs of customer in terms of dimensions, materials , quantity etc. So, if required size is not obtained in various standards like ASME B16.5, ASME B16.47 then we can think about designing a custom flange.

This paper deals with the representation by the quadratic form in three variables with odd prime invariants. In this paper a primitive quadratic form over the field of integers with odd invariants is considered and another form mutually primitive to it. Then it is proved that the number of representations by form is greater than the number of classes of integral primitive binary quadratic forms.

The world is becoming more enthusiastic about exploring the space. In order to do exploration, we need to develop new technologies every single day that can help us to look far beyond our galaxy. We require devices that can help us to pinpoint far away objects in deep space precisely. We need detectors and remote sensors which can detect even a weak signal that is coming out from any celestial body from a faraway distance. For this purpose, detectors need to be made highly sensitive and accurate, that can be only possible when an instrument is operated at a cryogenic temperature. SAC-ISRO, is involved in research, development and demonstrations on the application of space technology in the field of remote sensing and satellite navigation. This includes research and development of cryocoolers that provides cryogenic temperature for detector operations. Stirling cryocoolers are used to cool down infrared detectors for many applications. We are going to design and develop integral type Stirling cryocoolers for space application detectors. It has advantages of higher efficiency compared to other cryocoolers, light weight. One of the disadvantage of Stirling cryocooler is vibration as it has two moving elements in each cylinder. It has to be reduced and to be made efficient, so that will help for large space observations for a long period of time.

Abstract Education and work participation are two most important indicators of economic development in a country. In almost every country in the world, men are more likely to participate in labour markets than women. It was well documented that the educational condition of women has improved in the past few decades but their work participation rate is still low. Here, the paper tried to see reasons behind this difference. There are many determinants of work participation rate but we limit this paper to education. Here, the paper tried to analyse the pattern of spatio-temporal variation and gap in male-female work participation rates and the relationship between work participation rate and female literacy. The co-rrelation co-efficient between improvement does not show significant relation. In addition, it was found that women with low literacy rates are actively engaged in agricultural sector in rural areas. But other than agricultural sector work participation rate of females are less than men in both rural and urban areas. The co-rrelation between work participation rate and sex - ratio is also gives a positive result. But it is not significantly high. Finally, the paper concludes with some general observations and suggestions.
