Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is being used widely for access control system. It is also possible that, however the people holding the RFID card passing through the access control (RFID reader) may not be the authorized one. Therefore, an access control system combining RFID technology and face recognition based on neural network is presented in this work. The system recognizes the face of the person holding the RFID card and denies access if they do not match. We used a Radial Basis Function Neural Network to learn the face of authorized card holders and save the parameters of RBFNN only. This could reduce storage when the number of card holders getting large. We have used the Eigen object recognizer for the face recognition. The Localized Generalization Error Model (L-GEM) is adopted to train a RBFNN for better generalization capability. The face recognition system is first evaluated by benchmarking ORL face image database. The whole access control system is then tested in a real environment. Experimental results show that the proposed method has a good performance and could improve the security of RFID access control.

Localization is a very crucial issue and challenge in WSN. Wireless sensor networks are used in many different application domains such as military intelligence and surveillance, disaster relief, environmental monitoring, inventory tracking, home and agricultural monitoring and many more. It is important to know the position of each sensor node in network for outlining the solution to various problems in its application area. Hence node localization is an important system parameter for applications related to wireless sensor network. In this paper, an overview of other techniques for node localization is discussed and we propose a node localization algorithm using time-stamp based approach for finding location of unknown nodes

Circulation of Fake currency can have so many adverse effects on the economy of India. The counterfeiters are becoming harder to track down because of highly advance technology. One of the most effective methods to stop counterfeits can be the use of counterfeit detection software that is easily available and is efficient. Our project will recognize Indian currency note using a real time image obtained from a web cam. The necessity of our project is image processing. The web cam images are detected using image processing which recognizes area of image that is going to manipulate and shows the segmentation of original image. So our aim is to work on those factors that are impossible to implement on counterfeit note so we started working on three parameters out of ten which will be enough to differentiate fake and original note. Accordingly, when the currency is detected and verified. As per the requirement of lower denomination user will set a count by using GUI. The mechanism of exchange is in process using arduino, roller and infrared sensor for number of count of lower denomination to be delivered to the user. Finally, we get the lower denomination as requested to the system.

Abstract We cannot refute the fact that few changes are not good for us and progressive change in climate conditions worldwide is disturbing the mankind in substantially destructive ways. Physical and mental conditions of people are likely to be unified and interlinked. Changes in climate can affect not only physical but also the mental health of people. Researches indicate increase in temperature may increase the level of aggression in people hence people engage in unlawful acts more in summers than in winters. Incessant droughts due to changes in climate conditions are accountable for many psychological problems like distress, impair mental health and suicidal tendencies in farmers. As frequency of adversity due to climate changes are increasing, increase in many psychological problems also tends to increase in people. People who face these changes are prone to posttraumatic stress disorders, depression and adjustment disorders. Drastic changes in climate may also lead people to migrate which become a foremost cause for them to be stressful and anxious.

In this paper an effort is made to measure the productive efficiency of aggregate manufacturing sector in Tamilnadu in the liberalized regime for the reference period from 1991-1992 to 2011-2012. A stochastic frontier production function model was applied to analyze the data. The summation of the elasticities of factors of production, indicated return to scale of 1.287. Since the value of return to scale was greater than unity, one percent increase in inputs (labour and capital) resulted an increase 1.287 percent in output level for the stochastic frontier. In terms of technical efficiency, the manufacturing sector in Tamilnadu recorded an average efficiency of 0.939 (93.0 percent). It was also revealed that the technical efficiency of industries in Tamil Nadu have not shown any decline but showed mixed trend. The average technical inefficiency was observed as 0.065, which was negligible. In order to reduce the inefficiency in future, and become more efficient the manufacturing sector can increase output using the existing resources or by reducing costs given the current level of production.
