Abstract: MNREGA- one of the most ambitious programme of employment and a creative initiative in human history that guarantees employment legally to rural population keeping in view the consequences of agricultural sector which cannot provide full employment at all levels. MNREGA provides a greatest consequence for sustainable rural livelihood and it has become the EMPLOYER of the last resort. The paper aims to study the initiatives for its effective working and the challenges it faces in its practical sense. Experiences of implementation of the programme reflect that the results have been fairly mixed. On the whole the results appear that the programme has not been successful to the desired extent with reference to its effectiveness. This research paper makes an attempt to evaluate major initiatives for its effective implementation and the challenges faced in turn

The buck-boost inverter provides boosting and inversion function in a single power processing stage based on the front end buck-boost converter characteristics. The static stabilizer offers a reasonable on slow servo controlled stabilizers well as other static tap changing stabilizer. The basic topology is with buck-boost transformer with high primary to secondary ratio for voltage correction of 25%. The control voltage is imposed on the primary of buck-boost transformer. The voltage regulation of this topology is achieved electronically with the step changes in voltage. This task is accomplished through a feedback and control system implemented. The system used IGBTs as power switches. Direct AC-AC converter circuit improves the overall system response and fast voltage correction. Number of storage capacitor increase life of the system. 20 KHz PWM control operation using Microcontroller Atmega16 to achieve time of 1 to 1.5 cycles. Simulation results assure the proposed novel concept of single phase buck-boost inverter.

Electrical energy is the most popular form of energy and the whole world of society is heavily dependent on the electric supply. Human life cannot be imagined without the supply of electricity. quality and continuity of the electric power supplied is also very important for all equipment whose operation based on electric supply. But power quality problem associated with power system network due to nonstandard voltage current and frequency that result in failure or misoperation of end user equipment. This paper presents a role of most popular Facts devices knows as DISTRIBUTION STATIC COMPENSATOR(D-STATCOM) in power system before fault during fault and after fault condition and analysis power quality of distribution system. When fault occurs in power system at different causes the D-STATCOM will regulate supply voltage by absorbing and providing reactive power to mitigate voltage sag

Medical tourism is one of the emerging area throughout the globe. The movement of patient is worldwide. At the same time medical illiteracy is the common aspect irrespective of socio economic and geographical spheres and background. Careful and secured deployment of Electronic Health Record (EHR) of patients improves the safety and quality of medical care. The Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) developed by HL7 is a core document standard to comply and provide interoperability between hospitals, and propagation of the document format is very important for the exchange. But ground reality and common practice in hospitals is different and not willing to undertake interoperable Health Information System (HIS). This hindrance may be due to high deployment cost except for few developed countries. Many difficulties are faced while using the CDA document format because the data is not presented in a uniform and well organized manner and documents are more in number and leads to difficulty in management of such documents. Hence CDA document generation and integration using an Open API service based on cloud computing is very much requires, through which hospitals are enabled to easily and economically generate CDA documents without having to procure costly and custom software. This approach provides security to the CDA document through a unique identity (id) generation and avoids the interchanging and duplication of personal health reports. CDA document integration system integrates multiple CDA documents per patient into a single CDA and physicians and patients can browse the clinical data in chronological order.

Water supply has been a consequential problem in the metropolis cities like Mumbai ever since people have started to migrate from their native places to towns and cities. The potable water comes to Mumbai from long distance and supplied by Municipal Corporation after being filtered to international standards. Lake is a body of water surrounded by land. The Vehar Lake has situated in the heart of the suburban about 18 miles away from the North of Mumbai. It is formed by damming three valleys with earth embankments. Total capacity of lake is 9,120million gallons, with catchment area are 2,883 acres, excluding the lake area which is 1,800 acres when filled. The quality of water has now become a serious problem due to human activity and population explosion. Hence periodic assessment of water quality is required for proper management.

Injection of the wind power into an electric grid affects the power quality. The performance of the wind turbine and thereby power quality are determined on the basis of measurements and the norms followed according to the guideline specified in International Electro-technical Commission standard, IEC-61400. This paper demonstrates the power quality problem due to installation of wind turbine with the grid. In this proposed scheme is connected at a point of common coupling with a battery energy storage system (BESS) to mitigate the power quality issues. The battery energy storage is integrated to sustain the real power source under fluctuating wind power. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme relives the main supply source from the reactive power demand of the load and the induction generator. The development of the grid co-ordination rule and the scheme for improvement in power quality norms as the grid has been presented.

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes to women mortality in the world. Primary prevention is not possible since the cause of this disease is still not understood. However, existing methods of treatment are very effective against breast cancer in its early phase when the balance between the tumor and its host is more favorable. Therefore, removal of the cancer while it is still in its early stage is the most promising way to achieve a significant change in the current breast cancer situation using mammograms. Mammograms are among the most difficult radiological images to interpret by radiologists. Dense breasts, improper technical factors, or simple oversight by radiologists may contribute to the failure of detecting micro calcifications. The proposed work presents a novel approach for detection of Micro calcifications in mammograms using Nonlinear Filter. The method consists of Image Denoising using Median Filter, Image Contrast Enhancement by applying a Nonlinear Operator followed by an Edge Detection method using Co-ordinate Logic Filter. The experimental results show that the proposed method can locate Microcalcifications in an efficient way.

This paper is based on work done for the development of a speaker-independent Indian English speech recognition system. The work of recognition is performed using Sphinx tools. The database is a collection of Most Commonly used English words in routine. In this research initially, the system accuracy is evaluated using Carnegie Mellon university tools for the different age groups individually and later on these individual systems are combined together to compute the overall accuracy of the system. The system obtained best performance of 85.80 % for young (Eng2) model when trained using 16 GMMs (Gaussian Mixture Models). Also, the performance of the combined model is computed for different GMMs.

The Aim of our study is to extract the 1-D shear velocity structure over the axis of Mid-oceanic ridge. One of the methods to achieve this is the Rayleigh wave group velocity analysis. The cluster of events are selected, which is recorded at single station. Here the both events and station located on mid-oceanic ridge. The Rayleigh wave dispersion curve is obtained for a period between 10 to 70 sec from a cluster of events and inverted for 1-D shear velocity structure. The result shows the oceanic crust has two layers, first layer is 1km thick with shear velocity Vs 3.33 km/sec having a average density of 2.66 gm/cc and second layer thickness is about 4 km, shear velocity Vs is 3.7 km/sec with an average density of 2.8 gm/cc. The Moho is not sharply defined because of viscous nature of mid-oceanic ridge and my study shows the Moho depth occurs at the depth of 8.5 km.
