Conventional wireless communication schemes use radio/micro wave frequencies for data transmission, primarily because of the availability of high sensitivity receivers and ability to provide broad coverage at low frequencies and line of sight communication at high frequencies. But, RF can support only a limited bandwidth due to confined spectrum availability. Therefore the expanding demand for wireless data has led to clogging of the radio spectrum. Thus there is a need to study and use new communication technologies in near future that will reduce interference and will be a clean source of communication. Communication is providing new advances constantly, people are depending more and more on the benefits they provide.

Recently, there is large amount of music on the internet. It is difficult to classify the music based on the music content manually. Instrumental music is often classified or retrieved in terms of instruments played in it. Searching and organizing of music collections requires a mathematical model of music similarity. In this paper, we propose a new method to classify the music automatically based on different features. The classification of musical instrument is done using multi class support vector machine (SVM).We adopt two approaches to the multi-class classification. Finally, computer simulations are done by using real music data in order to prove the effectiveness of the proposed method. The maximum accuracy achieved with svm one vs. one method with wavelet feature is 86% using exponential radial basis function.

The forgery in electronics and digital media is not new, which can be done actively or passively. Even digital images are forged and it is very difficult to identify the original one. Forgery is not new, it needs the details about the system in which the forgery is to be done. This paper discusses the forgery done in various types of images first and then the approach or the methodology adopted to detect this forgery. Various methods are adopted for different levels of forgery.

The PEM (Polymer Electrolyte Membrane) fuel cell technology is one of the most promising energy conversion technologies under renewable energy systems because of its wide ability in most of the commercial applications like electrical vehicles, building cogeneration and standby power supply. However, direct use of PEM fuel cell in most of the commercial applications is restricted due to its slow dynamics and less peak power supplying capability. To improve slow dynamics, catalyst activity is required to be improve where as to improve peak power capability electrode surface area is required to be increase. In this paper grapheme is used as catalyst support electrode material to improve slow dynamics and peak power supplying capability of PEM fuel cell. Use of grapheme reduces internal resistance of the PEM fuel cell and hence reduces ohmic polarization drop. The use of grapheme also increases electrode surface area which in turn improves slow dynamics by increasing internal capacitance of PEM fuel cell. EIS (Electrochemical Spectroscopy) of the PEM fuel cell using grapheme as catalyst support is compared with PEM fuel having activated carbon as a catalyst support for performance validation.

Super resolution technology provides an effective way to increase image resolution from a single or multiple low resolution input image(s). Amongst various single image super resolution algorithms, edge adaptive algorithms are used to improve the accuracy of the interpolation characterizing the edge features in a lager region and for real-time performance. A new algorithm for image Iterative curvature based interpolation (ICBI) performs iterative correction of the interpolated pixels obtained by the 2nd order directional derivative of the image intensity. Super resolution in spatial and wavelet domain also obtains better results as it has advantage uses in both domains. ICBI in comparison with super resolution in spatial and wavelet domain and the other interpolation algorithms such as Improved New Edge Directed Interpolation (INEDI), Fast Curvature Based Interpolation (FCBI) and bilinear interpolation provides notably higher values in terms of subjective and objective tests. PSNR of images shows effectiveness of algorithm.

Road traffic congestion has become a major issue for highly crowded metropolitan cities like Pune, Mumbai. This will create delay for the ambulance to reach the hospital in emergency case. The proposed system smoothens the ambulance movement by using RFID and an android app. This system creates an android app that connects both the ambulance and the traffic signal station using cloud network. This system uses RFID (radio frequency identification) technology to implement the intelligent traffic signal control. The basic idea behind this system is, if the Ambulance halts on the way due to a traffic signal, RFID installed at the pole near the traffic signal tracks the RFID tagged ambulance and sends the data to the controller. In case the RFID fails, the acknowledgment is taken from the user through the mobile app then the particular signal is turned to Green for some time interval and after the ambulance passes the original sequence of signaling is regained. Hence this system controls the traffic signal and can be very useful at emergency periods.

The significance intention of this research work is to develop a system for predicting static gestures of alphabets and sign in Indian Sign Language (ISL) to text. This proposed model incorporates three section pre-processing, feature extraction and structural redesigning. The novelty of this work lies in structural redesigning done with conventional Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to improve its prediction accuracy. The structural redesign happens with the aid of optimization techniques to precise its predicting accuracy. The preliminary research carried out with benchmark dataset to design and validate the redesigned optimal neural network structure by influencing Genetic Algorithm (GA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Artificial Bee Colony (ABC). Amid, ABC prefers superior result to other comparative algorithms and reveals the predictive accuracy of 96.71%. Subsequently, ISL gestures collected from real time environment to perform the objective by influencing Social Spider optimization (SSO) technique. The revealed results illustrate that SSO having superiority to ABC (which prefers better result in preliminary benchmark dataset). In real world environment the proposed SSO technique, reveal average of 83.9% this will be a superior result over other comparative technique. The entire implementation execute in the working platform MATLAB to process the ISL to text prediction.

Smart grid is an intelligent power network featured by its two-way flows of electricity and information. With an integrated communication infrastructure, smart grid manages the operation of all connected components to provide reliable and sustainable electricity supplies. In smart power grid, an efficient reliable communication architecture plays an important role in improving efficiency, stability and sustainability. The communication infrastructure is multilayered structure that extends the whole smart grid from home area network (HAN) to neighborhood area network (NAN) and wide area networks (WAN). For communication between the subnet works a cognitive radio technology is added which improve spectrum efficiency by utilizing all available spectrum resources in smart grid. This paper focuses on cognitive radio based communication architecture for smart grid. The cognitive radio is mentioned to achieve dynamic spectrum access, interference avoidance, data throughput adaptive and act as a backup wireless communication technique in emergency situations for critical data transmission.
