 Abstract

The main inspirations behind the image compression are in its speed of transmission and storage of data. This paper proposed that the speed of fractal encoder is increased by the Neighborhood region search method i.e. to decrease the encoding time. Fractal image compression is capable for both practical as well as theoretical work. Here co-ordinate system is used to find two lowest discrete cosine transformation (DCT) coefficients of different image blocks. In this paper, Image blocks with similar edge shapes will be concentrated in specific regions in a co-ordinate system. The main aim of this paper is that to reduce the number of computations and to keep the reconstructed image quality better. Furthermore, this given proposed method is embedded with edge property of block which gives rise in more speed rate.

 Abstract

In recent times the concept of smart cities has gained unconfined popularity. Parking in the urban area has been a major problem these days. Traditional Parking System is not only expensive but moreover time-consuming process. An efficient way to manage the parking system would be by using the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT). Consistent efforts are stuff made in the field of IoT in order to maximize the productivity and reliability of urban infrastructure. Problems such as traffic congestion, limited car parking facilities, and road safety are stuff reduced by IoT. The proposed Smart Parking system consists of an on-site deployment of an IoT module that is used to monitor and signalize the state of availability of each single parking space. A mobile application is provided that allows an end user to check the availability of parking space and book a parking slot accordingly. If there is no parking slot available, the user can go into 'waiting' state similar to that of railway ticket booking system. According to the number of hours the vehicle is parked, the user will do the online payment. Availability of parking slots will be updated in real time.

 Abstract

The potholes on road leading to worsened road conditions have given rise to fatal accidents thereby leading to death in most of the cases. Many reasons like rains, oil spills wear and tear make the road difficult to walk upon. According to the analysis by road transport authorities near about 10000 people died in the country during a course of three years.Interests in pothole detection system come from problems caused by traffic congestion worldwide. The purpose of this paper is to devise a system that will give prior warnings to a pedestrian thereby ensuring safety. The potholes are invisible to our eyes during floods this increases the risk of fatal accidents. The system works on surveying method where the device will detect potholes and save location on a cloud server and during flood while surveying we found that the system detects the potholes accurately within the range of 5m.when the user will come in the vicinity of the saved location, the system then gives the warning to user.

 Abstract

The concept of Speech Recogntion is to take an utterance of speech signal in the form of input, captured by microphone and convert it into a sequence of text which is as close as possible to the input which was represented by the acoustic data.In India, we have 22 distinct languages and 419 local languages. Majority of population is unaware of English language either in reading or writing but they can take advantage from resources of Information Technology sector if they support native idiom. Therefore, there is huge scope to develop such systems in Hindi language. The national language of OThe literacy rate of India is 74.04% amongst which only 12.18% of Indians are familiar with English language.Speech recognition is the inter-disciplinary sub-field of computational linguistics that develops methodologies and technologies that enables the recognition and translation of spoken language into text by computers. It is also known as "automatic speech recognition"(ASR). The procedure includes creating of database of various speech signals , convert it to computer friendly language and display on a notice board.

 Abstract

In this paper, we present the features of asymmetric DMDG Junctionless transistor and compared it with a similar junction transistor. This comparison has been carried out using 2D models of the transistors. The parameters we have calculated are threshold voltage, drain induced barrier lowering (DIBL), Ion/ Ioff ratio and sub-threshold slope (SS). We observed that when the channel length is lesser, the junctionless transistor has better results for DIBL (34.61% improvement) and Ion/Ioff ratio (by 10^3). The results of SS for both the transistors were the same. These results varied when the channel lengths of the transistors were changed between 20 nm, 30 nm and 40 nm. All the device parameters are simulated in 2D environment using the device simulator Cogenda Visual TCAD.

 Abstract

This paper presents an automatic evaluation method for the determination of the qualityof rice granules. The quality of rice samples is to be determined with the help of color, and geometric features.A model of quality grade testing and identification is built which is based on appearance features such as area, major axis length, minor axis length, aspect ratio, the morphological and color with technology of computer image processing and neural network. The color and morphological features are presented to the neural network for training purposes. The trained network is then used to identify the unknown grain types and its quality. This proposed method gives good results in evaluation of rice quality.Chalky is whiteness part in the rice grain and it is one of the most important parameter that is used to evaluate the quality of rice grain. We proposed an image processing technique using extended maxima operator to detect the chalky area in the rice.We also calculated the dimensions and color to classify rice.

 Abstract

As demand of care taking is increased technology plays major role in human services. The point of the task is to give superior medicinal services to individuals from house in more financial and caring way. In this paper, the PIC18F46K22 microcontroller is utilized as a portal to impart to the different sensors, for example, temperature sensor and heartbeat pulse sensor ECG (Electrocardiography). The microcontroller grabs the sensor information and sends it to the system through Wi-Fi and consequently gives ongoing observing of the human services parameters for specialists. The information can be provided by the patient using android application which helps doctors to analyze about patient history like patient name, patient disease history, current body temperature, heartbeat, and ECG data graphically. In this application there is some preliminary information is stored for patient to take care of own health. The system also provides emergency alarm for indication proposes. The framework is using a minimal effort part to transmit information like ECG and temperature to doctor for advice determination. The security issue is been tended to by transmitting the information through the secret word ensured Wi-Fi module ESP8266 which will be encoded by standard AES128 and the clients/specialist can get to the information by logging to thingspeak.com. We are utilizing thingspeak.com as a server. This technique is useful in disease like Arthritis where patient history is saved in database and preliminary questions designed to ease the decision making. In Arthritis body temperature monitoring is an important issue. This framework is productive with low power utilization capacity, simple setup, superior and time to time reaction.  Abstract

Now voice interfacing is becoming more popular and attractive in a days. Because it is made primary input for many devices. By using different voice commands we can control different devices. The handicapped persons can also handles the devices using different voice commands. We evaluate the controlling of the drone with MATLAB coding. In the coding, we control the computer with speech commands and taken the voice commands from human operator. The PC interpret the talked words either content or summons to execute work in MATLAB. The database is produced by include extraction of orders in the PC. When we given commands to computer then it matches with database using MFCC algorithm. If the commands are matched then operation is performed.
