 Abstract

The power distribution system being the last stage in power delivery system is considered to be the largest part in power system. Electricity becomes the utmost need now-a- days with the increasing population and economic development. Loss in electrical power can act as a barrier in the economic development of a country. Technical and commercial loss being the major part of loss in power sector needs to be eliminated to the optimal level to improve the system efficiency. In this paper, factors causing AT&C losses, different loss reducing measures and AT&C loss computations in different subdivisions under Guwahati Electrical Circle-II (GEC-II) are discussed. The study would certainly help in bringing forth the desired improvement in power distribution, having known the leaking points and theft, and if measures are taken to arrest those losses significant positive changes can be brought in power sector.

 Abstract

Now a days, most of peoples are working with smart devices with the digital data for their regular survive in the world. The QR codes are use to store the digital data in form of black and white modules. QR codes are use in many applications related to security, academics, marketing etc. Now, peoples are well aware with this technology and they are use QR codes for various purpose. The QR codes are known at worldwide and getting popularity to use smart phones by the peoples. These are type of optics labels and only read by machines. The human-being can not access the data from QR code without using smart applications for scanning the code. There are static and dynamic QR codes and create by using code generators. The QR codes are gives the link to get information about particular subject. If data is important then user can use QR code to store that data with various other techniques. Hence another user cannot access data without having authority. There is a new system of QR code use for data security purpose. That is called two level QR code, because it is having two parts to store data. One part is for public data and it is generated by standard process. It can be reads by any application which is standard QR code reader. The second part of QR code is for private data and it will generates using Reed-Solomon algorithm and visual cryptography. Using these methodologies time requirement of process is become less, because it is automates the combination of textured patterns. These patterns are replaces the black modules of the QR code. Because of using texture patterns, there will be increase storage capacity of the QR code. Data security is main focusing concept for our proposed approach and for that key is used with private QR code to decode the data.

 Abstract

Filter is one of the key component of microwave communication system. Filter ensures the propagation of signal in required frequency band and attenuates the signals out of the band range. Microwave filters can be realized by using coaxial, waveguide, stripline and microstrip structure. Microstrip filter is preferable due to of its compact size and low weight. Stub line, end edge, parallel coupled, interdigit, combline type of microstrip filters are in use for the time. Parallel coupled microstrip filter has advantageous in to the terms of simple design structure techniques, easy to fabricate and integrate with other RF component/ devices. Design and simulation of parallel coupled microstrip band pass filter is presented in this paper. The proposed filter is designed for 2.45GHz using HFSS ANSYS simulation software. Roger3003 dielectric substrate of height 1.5mm is used as substrate. Defected ground structure approach incorporated to enhance bandwidth. 28.57% fractional bandwidth (2.0720-2.7720GHz) is achieved with 0.2dB insertion loss in pass band and 30 dB attenuation at 2.2 GHz. Return loss is greater than -27dB in pass band of having maximum return loss of -43.12 dB at 2.6290 GHz. Simulation results exhibit good performance of proposed filter. This filter can be used for ISM band application (2.4-2.5GHz) and 2.6GHz band (2.5-2.69GHz) for terrestrial mobile communication system.

 Abstract

In this paper the fabrication of prototype model of solar and wind operated Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) is made using easily available materials like, front wheels of bicycle with ball bearing, half cut PVC pipes, wooden base, solar panels, battery etc. The CADD model of the VAWT is prepared. This VAWT is placed in the medians of highway. The vehicles from both sides of medians accelerate the wind thus increasing its kinetic energy which forces the turbine blades to rotate in clock wise direction. This drives the rotor which is connected to a DC generator, thus producing electricity. The solar panels provided at the top of VAWT absorb solar radiation and generates electricity. An effort is made to produce electricity at low cost. This electricity can be used for multiple applications like smart highway system, toll booths, highway lightening,etc. This VAWT also acts as a barrier for high beam focus lights emitted by vehicles from opposite lanes, thus reducing the risks of accidents

 Abstract

This project is about manufacturing a Vertical Axis Wind Turbines VAWT to transfer the wind speed to a rotational motion using these turbines. Savonius wind turbine is the vertical axis wind turbine. Savonius has the three curved shaped structures. Savonius wind turbine is one of the turbines which are operated in the low speed wind. This produce the high operating torque at the low speed, it is the self-starting turbine. Savonius would use with the magnetic levitation for obtaining the high speed rotation of the generator. Magnetic Levitation is the phenomenon which is anybody is freely suspended in the air without any support with the opposed of gravitational energy. This magnetic levitation occurred due to the repulsion between the two symmetrical poles. The strong levitation is occurred with the used of permanent magnets. This project presents a review on the performance of vertical wind turbine wind turbines. This type of turbine is not commonly use and its applications for obtaining useful energy from air stream is still considered as an alternative source. Low wind speed start-up, working with any wind direction, and the less noise are some advantage of VAWT.
