A Cantilever retaining wall is one of the most important types of retaining structures. It is extensively used in variety of situations such as highway engineering, railway engineering, bridge engineering and irrigation engineering. Reinforced concrete retaining walls have a vertical or inclined stem cast with base slab. For greater heights earth pressure due to retained fill will be higher due to lever arm effect, higher moments are produced at base, which leads to higher section for stability design as well as structural design. This studies the stability and performance for seismic response and evaluation of cantilever retaining wall with the help of a finite element method, STAAD.pro. While the following provisions of the Indian Standard Code, IS 456:2000 and IS 1893: 1984/2002 for the sections.

Ayurveda is a science which requires a lot of research to establish its authenticity along with modern medical science. The first step in this is to define the terms mentioned in Ayurvedic classics, especially the basic terms. The science cannot be implemented methodically as long as the terms are not properly understood. Sharira Rachana is the subject which deals with a lot of anatomical terms and defining these terms are important for application of the science. Snayu is a term which is explained elaborately in classical texts but yet it is unable to point out exact structure related with it in human body. During this study, the references related to the Snayu are collected and tried to explain as a structure form. Literally the term Snayu means to bind. It is explained as a structure which helps in binding the joints and helps the body in weight bearing. Structurally it has been described something similar to a fibrous in nature.

Spokes character requirement has developed its growth in popularity because spoke characters are not likely to embarrass their sponsors with unacceptable off stage conduct in a manner which contrarily influencing the negative picture of the sponsor brand. Nowadays advertiser has more prominent control over the development of spokes-characters by giving them characteristics that are both powerful and harmonious and with the alluring qualities of the endorsed product. The main purpose of this research is to look at consumer view regarding spokes-characters in the area of advertisement and, how consumer views impact the use of spokes-characters to create a perception of advertisements and brands that ultimately influences their Buying intention. The meta-analysis concluded that appeal and skill of the spokes-character has substantive influence on attitude of the consumer toward the advertisements. The second finding was that the spoke-characters play a crucial role in trust-building towards the brand. Thus, both attitude toward advertisements and attitude toward brand positively influence buying intention.

As individuals ar disbursal longer to buy and consider reviews on line, some reviewer write pretend reviews to earn credit and to market (demote) the sales of product and stores. Detecting pretend reviews and spammers becomes a lot of important once the spamming behavior is turning into damaging. This paper proposes 3 styles of new options which embody review density, linguistics and feeling and provides the model and algorithmic program to construct every feature. Experiments show that the planned model, algorithmic program and features economical in pretend review detection task than traditional methodology supported content, reviewer data and behavior.

High thermal efficiency in a gas turbine engine can achieved by higher turbine entry temperature. However, this leads to a high thermal load which affects the durability of the turbine components. Therefore, improved cooling techniques such as film cooling and internal cooling are applied to turbine blades. Internal cooling is achieved by circulating low enthalpy air in multi-pass flow channels inside the blade structure. To increase the heat transfer of the internal cooling, the internal surfaces usually are roughened by angled ribs to trip the boundary layer and increase turbulence. A Computational Fluid Dynamics study will be carried out to obtain heat transfer data for a single pass and two-pass rectangular channel (aspect ratio 2:1) with smooth and ribbed surfaces for two channel orientations. The V-shaped ribs are placed on the leading and trailing surfaces of 4 different arrangements of 45 deg V-shaped ribs are studied. The Reynolds numbers for study are selected as 5000, 15000 and 40000 and the rib height to hydraulic diameter ratio is 0.092, the rib pitch-to-height ratio is 8. The CFD studies are carried out for the parallel 45 deg V-shaped rib arrangements, inverted 45 deg V-shaped rib arrangements, parallel inlet and inverted outlet and inverted inlet and parallel outlet to determine the better heat transfer and augmentation of the flow. CFD is used to predict the bulk temperature inside the duct passage from which heat transfer coefficient is arrived. Nusselt number comparison between the various arrangements gives the insight for the enhanced heat transfer. Through this study the enhancement of simple flat surface is achieved and outcomes can be applied for various engineering applications.

Abstract: The Kerala model development or Kerala phenomenon has gained wider acceptability and much acclaim across the country. One of the deciding factors that contributed substantially to the socio-economic progress of Kerala is the remittance of NRIs. A substantial financial investment in infrastructural sector in Kerala is the contribution of NRIs. The present study aims at investigating the investment behaviour and decision factors of NRIs in Kerala with special reference to Malabar region. Adhering to the technique of multi-stage stratified random sampling 150 respondents each were selected from South Malabar and North Malabar regions. As per data has been collected, it is seen that most of the NRI investors are using conventional or traditional investment alternatives like residential property, real estate, bank deposits, insurance policy, bullions etc. There are five hypotheses emanate under this study. The statements are tested with the help of one way ANOVAs and Chi-Square test to study the influences of religion, age, educational statuses, employment statuses etc. on the investment decision and portfolio of NRIs of Malabar region in Kerala. Important suggestions are made to attract the attention of Government and related agencies to recognize NRIs remittances with due consideration, channelize it towards productive investment sectors and to take efforts to attract NRIs investment to modern investment sectors also which are scanty now.

Index Modulation (IM) Techniques, Which Consider Innovative Ways To Convey Information Compared To Traditional Communication Systems, For Next- Generation Wireless Networks Due To The Attractive Advantages They Offer In Terms Of Spectral And Energy Efficiency Without Increasing The Hardware Complexity. I.E Increase Data Rate And Save Energy While Being Simple To Implement. These Modulation Schemes Belong To Two Different Communication Methods. The First Scheme Known As Spatial Modulation (SM), Is A Scheme That Uses Multiple Antennas At The Transmitter Side Where Just One Antenna Is Activated At A Time And Its Index Is Used As Means To Convey Information. The Second Is Known As Code-Index Modulation (CIM), A System That Uses Multiple Spreading Codes, Where A Certain Code Is Selected And Its Index Is Used As A Mechanism To Ferry Data. In Order To Evaluate The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Each Technique, We Compare The Energy Efficiency, The System Complexity, And The Bit Error Rate Performance Of The SM And CIM Schemes.

Abstract A heat exchanger is a device that is used to transfer thermal energy (enthalpy) between two or more ?uids, between a solid surface and a ?uid, or between solid particulates and a ?uid, at different temperatures and in thermal contact. Heat exchangers are important engineering devices in many process industries since the efficiency and economy of the process largely depend on the performance of the heat exchangers. The present work is directed towards the modeling of double pipe and triple pipe heat exchanger in solid works .CFD analysis is carried out for both double and triple pipe heat exchanger using Ti02 Nano fluids .The LMTD and heat transfer coefficient is calculated for the heat exchangers. The flow trajectories to visualize the resulting flow field .Finally compared the flow simulation results for both double and triple heat exchanger. By observing the results the heat transfer coefficient has been increased 2.5 times by use Tio2 nano fluid in double pipe heat exchanger. By observing the results the heat transfer coefficient has been increased almost 3 times by use Tio2 nano fluid in triple pipe heat exchanger.
