Self-compacting concrete is a most preferred type of concrete, due to its complete flow ability without using vibrating tools. It is easily feasible for any shape and size of the formwork. Self-compacting concrete is one of the green technics for avoiding sound effect on construction site. The fly ash will be very helpful to reduction of natural resources for manufacturing cement and also very little effect in production of carbon emission gases. The mix design is made according to IS 10262:2009.Self-compacting concrete represents one of the most significant advances in concrete technology for decades. It is a high workable concrete and do not require any external vibration for consolidation. Inadequate homogeneity of the cast concrete due to poor compaction or segregation may drastically lower the performance of mature concrete. SCC ensures adequate compaction and facilitate placement of concrete in structures with congested reinforcement and in restricted areas. The fresh state properties are conducted for Inverted slump flow test, Inverted T50cm slump flow test, V-funnel test, V-funnel at T5 minutes The research work includes workability tests of SCC, their application in the development of mix design for SCC and finally exploring various properties in its hardened state

Concrete is one of the most widely used construction material obtained by utilizing (preferably) locally accessible ingredients like sand, cement, water and aggregates. There is an essential need for addition of both chemical and mineral admixtures in concrete to improve its performance. Hence varieties of admixtures such as coconut fiber, fly ash, glass powder, nylon fibers etc. have been successfully used so far. Hence an attempt has been made in the present paper to analyze and summarize the durability tests performed on various concrete mixes in comparison to normal mixes. Durability of any concrete mix may be understood as its ability to resist any act of deterioration i.e. either due to chemicals or due to weather or any other reason.

The information signal is first encrypted and then transmitted using some transmission media which may be corrupted in the process. These errors can be corrected and detected by employing error-detecting and error-correcting codes in RAMs. The most common error detection scheme is parity bit. An error correcting code uses multiple parity check bits that are stored with the data word in memory. It is essential to have SEC codes that protect both the data and the associated control bits. It is possible for these codes to provide fast decoding of the control bits, as these are used to determine the processing of the data and are commonly on the critical timing path. In this brief, a method to extend SEC codes to support a few additional control bits is presented. The derived codes support fast decoding of the additional control bits and are therefore suitable for networking applications.

Vehicle parking is a major issue in our daily life, due to this the traffic has been increasing. The technology was developed, and the population has been increased. The main objective of this Paper is to develop a hardware system and to find the number of vacant parking slots using IoT technology, to identify the number of parking slots which are available in the parking lot and park the vehicle automatically. In big cities there will be big shopping malls, restaurants, companies etc. So, to overcome that problem this project is introducing car parking with automatic valet parking system using IoT technology. This model says about how the parking is being done without human involvement, this is nothing but valet parking. The main components in the paper are Arduino which is used to control the whole system by taking the inputs and process to control the output actuators, IR sensors which senses whether the slot is occupied or empty. NodeMCU is an arduino like controller with an in-built WiFi module which connects to internet and sends the information to the server, and the status of the vehicle parking can be visualized through Blynk application. Blynk also allows the user to remotely reserve, park and retrieve the vehicle. DC motors are used to control the elevator system to lift the vehicle and place it in the specified vacant slot. This can be implemented in real time so that the users can easily check the status of the vacant parking space to park the vehicle.

ABSTRACT - Optical Code Division Multiple Access (OCDMA) is an optical processing system which allows multiple users to share the same bandwidth simultaneously without interfering with each other using unique optical codes. As the number of user increases, the dispersion and multiple access interference begin to rise, which led to high bit error rate and low quality of service of the system. This paper presents the effect of Dispersion and Multi Access Interference (MAI) of optical fiber on the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of a Direct Sequence Optical Code Division Multiple Access (DS-OCDMA) network. By using Matlab simulations, Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) versus Received Optical Power (ROP) of an OCDMA transmission system can be evaluated for different numbers of system users. Mat lab simulations can be performed in order to illustrate the reduction of the dispersion index gamma, or to visualize different scenarios, e.g., what amount of transmitted power is required in order to obtain a BER of 10-9 when the length of the optical fiber is increased.

The amount of recycled aggregates produced was increased day by day leading to environmental affects. The disposal of the recycled aggregate is uneconomical and can be utilized in the construction activities. In this paper an attempt has been done to find the efficiency of replacing coarse aggregate with recycled aggregates. The influence of combination of silica fume with recycled aggregates on concrete for M45 grade with 0.4 W/C ratio and 0.75% superplasticizer by weight of the cement. Percentage of silica fume is varied as 25%, 30%, 35% and 40% by weight of natural aggregate and the silica fume by 10% and 20% by weight of cement to determine the fresh and hardened properties of the concrete. Compression, flexural, split tensile strength and modulus of elasticity tests are conducted to determine the influence of silica fume with recycled aggregates after 7, 28 and 56 days curing. Compressive strength of the concrete increases with increase in the amount of recycled aggregates up to 35% and then decreases with further increase in the amount of recycled aggregate. Optimum compressive strength of 72.64 Mpa and optimum flexural strength of 5.32 Mpa was obtained at 10% of silica fume and 35% of recycled aggregate. Modulus of elasticity of 34611 Mpa was achieved at 10% silica fume and 35% recycled aggregate.

Ethiopian GDP highly depends on the production and productivity of agriculture. Agricultural productivity is seen as one of the major contributors to the development process. It is, therefore, essential to study the performance of existing plantation technology systems in order to become informed about this development process. This study examined the factors influencing technical efficiency in barley farming in eastern zone of Tigray using a stochastic frontier production function in which technical inefficiency effects were assumed to be functions of both socioeconomic characteristics of the farmer and farm-specific characteristics of the two seed plantation technologies; namely row plantation system and traditional plantation system. In this research work paper the researchers select randomly 300 farmers comprising 155 row planters and 145 traditional planter farmers. The result from the descriptive statistics indicates that the farmers who use traditional plantation technology are producing on a lower production frontier than the farmers who practice row plantation technology and the result is also statistically significant at one percent in a two tail sample ttest. The results also revealed existence of high levels of technical inefficiencies in barley production, especially among the traditional sowing farmers. The study found that the magnitude of technical efficiency varied from one farmer to another and ranged from 42.4% to 75.4%, with a mean of 68.2%. Consequently, due to technical inefficiency farmers have lost close to 32% of the potential output. The main factors that influenced the degree of inefficiency were age of the household head, family size, livestock quantity, row plantation technology, access to irrigation and cooperative membership. Based on the findings from this study, the researchers recommend that farmers should have to get trainings on how to plant seeds, on the use of better techniques and application of fertilizer and other capital equipment. Moreover, the regional government should have to develop small scale irrigation schemes to enhance the productivity of row plantation technology. Last but not the least, though the result from the Tobit model and ttest statistics are significant, row plantation technology user farmers are on higher frontier than their counterparts. Thus integrating those who use traditional cultivation method can lead to more viable production and productivity in using this technology.

Abstract: The Artificial intelligence is fashionable today. After some notable successes in new AI technologies, and new applications, it is seeing a resurgence of interest, which has resulted in a surge of opinions from many disciplines. These include from laypeople, politicians, philosophers, entrepreneurs and professional lobbyists. However, these opinions rarely include those from the people who understand AI the most: the computer scientists and engineers who spend their days building the smart solutions, applying them to new products, and testing them. This article provides the views of AI technologies in an attempt to provide balance and informed opinion on the subject. It addresses the nature of affect, methods to automatically detect affect, as well as the interplay between affect and learning-related cognition, and affective strategies that promote quality learning.

Now days, online searching process increases and people searches new information in the search process. Most of the search engine gives additional supporting information. Recommender system involves in this process and implements as service. Service recommender system gives additional information to the user but if information grows then these process become a critical one. The proposed work analyses issues occurring when service recommender system implements in large data sets. This work proposes a keyword-Aware services Recommender method, to split the services to the users and mainly focused keywords from the user preferences. Collaborative filtering algorithm generates keyword recommenders from the previous user preferences. To implement effective results in big data environment, this method is implemented by the concept of MapReduce parallel processing on Hadoop. Experimental results are shown the effective results on real-world datasets and reduce the processing time from large dataset.
