Risk is present in every construction project and each construction project is unique. The risk factors influencing the projects are also different. If these risk factors are not addressed properly at planning stage, it can adversely affect the project performance. In this study, various risk factors were identified and classified according to their nature. Data related to risk measurement was collected through the questionnaire survey and by meeting personnel working in the construction industry. The risk factors were rated for the likelihood of their occurrence and impact was recorded for the projects under case study. These ratings were analyzed using SPSS software and possible correlations were developed for the critical factors. Findings of this study will help the parties associated with the project management to determine the risk correlations at start of the project to minimize risk through effective planning for the successful completion of the project.

The Indian retail industry is growing in a quicker rate because of growth in the shifting demographics of Indian population and progress in the quality of life of urban people. Indian retail industry consists of both organised and unorganised sectors. Organized retail which now constitutes a small percentage of total retail sectors is growing at a higher rate. Growth opportunity in the retail sectors comes with several challenges. There are instances where retailers have failed to know the market and have to suffer losses and in some case had to shut down their business. Hence retailers need to be watchful and be equipped well for the challenges. Understanding the consumer psychology is important in order to frame better marketing strategies to retain customers and develop in the retail business. There is a need to know as to which shopping variables influence the consumers to visit a particular shop? What attracts customers to a specific store? This study focuses on the influence of shopping variable on the grocery shopper in Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka, India.

Out of all traditional process like casting, cutting, forging, forming etc. sheet metal forming is special case of deformation process in which sheet metal work is formed. Curling is a process of converting flat sheet metal into required curved radius surface with applying pre-determined force on press tool, having curl die. Generally, sheet metal formed in press tool with required curl profile die arrangements. The main aim of this project work is design and finite element analysis of curling tool. The curl tool is designed for curling sheet metal of thickness 1.5mm, 2mm and 2.5mm. Based on material properties of sheet metal, radius of curl required and press ton efficiency, Design of curl tool has been done analytically. With these design calculations, 3D modeling of curling tool is done. The finite element analysis carried out by applying appropriate boundary conditions. Then results ofequivalent (Von-Mises) stress and total deformation are evaluated and verified. The software packages used are Solid Edge ST7 for modeling of Curling tool and ANSYS Workbench 14.5 (Structural) for Preprocessing, Solving and Post processing of curling tool.

From past for medium rise RCC structure Shear Wall is commonly used and steel bracing used in steel structures only; but now the concept of bracing system is extended to concrete structures. Recent researches show that both structural systems can be implemented altogether in medium rise building. These structural systems have some merits and some demerits also. So, there is need to develop a system which has benefits of both system and this leads to the concept of Optimization. This research paper deals the behavioral study of Steel Braced optimized Shear wall. For this purpose actual G+20 storey in Gurgaon, India (Seismic Zone IV) having Shear Wall system, considered for study. Several cases are considered with Shear wall with different bracing pattern and performance of building is observed with different cases and compares with the performance of actual building.

Currently over the millions of digital audio files such as digital songs are copied illegally during file-sharing over the networks. It has resulted as the loss of revenue for music and broadcasting industries. The traditional protection schemes are no longer useful to protect copyright and ownership of multimedia objects. These challenges have prompted significant research in digital audio watermarking for protection and authentication. Watermarking is a technique, which is used in protecting digital information like images, videos and audio as it provides copyrights and ownership. The identity of the owner of the audio file can be hidden in the audio file which is called Watermark. Therefore, digital audio watermarking is the process of hiding some information into the audio file in such a way that the quality and the audibility of the audio is not affected. It helps to prevent forgery and impersonation of audio signal. This project presents a novel audio watermarking using wavelet transformation. The proposed method involves Embedding and extraction of audio signal using wavelet transformation. The audio signal which is in .Wave or Mp3 format undergoes segmentation, transformation and embedding the watermarked data and at the last inverse transformation will be carried out. The signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the watermarked signal to the original signal should be maintained greater than 20Db and the proposed scheme provide the main requirement for the efficient watermarking technique. We attempt to develop an efficient method for hiding the information in the audio file such that the copyright information will be protected from illegal copying of the information

India being an agricultural country needs some innovation in the field of agriculture. Traditional methods of irrigation not only require water in quantity but percentage of water wastage is also high. Globally water is becoming a scarce resource that instigating the need of controlled crop irrigation. Recent advances Engineering & Technology, such as the convergence of internet of things (IoT), communication, wireless sensor networks and information technologies have paved the way for new era of monitoring and controlling the agricultural parameters from the remote places. To enhance the resource utilization in a constrained manner an autonomous energy efficient sensing platform is developed and is installed in an agriculture land to monitor the soil moisture, ambient temperature & humidity. Based on the soil conditions, motor pump can be Turned ON/OFF, the measured data from cultivation field is processed and sending the same information from to Amazon web servers through GPRS gateway. The measured data is accessed from server through the websites. The whole irrigation system is powered by solar energy with battery power management system. The automated irrigation system is tested in turmeric and onion plantation simultaneously for 50 days. Water savings is up to 90% when compared with the present trickle irrigation channel is achieved. By incorporating the automated irrigation scheme, consumption of water and electricity is reduced, further it increases the quality of food grains and the yield of crops.
