 Abstract

Alcoholism and drug addiction may be conceptualized as crime without victim i.e., addicts himself is the victim who becomes a prey of its misuse. This devastating melody is eroding the roots of social, economic and cultural fibre of Indian society. It gives rise to criminality and criminal behaviour which eventually leads to social organization. Alcoholism and drug related offences being victimless crime; they fall in the category of public order crime or consensual crimes. Alcoholism and drug addiction are indicative of the irresponsibility and weakness of the character of the persons using these intoxicants. The relation between alcoholism and various aggressive and criminal acts is often confirmed by police records and prison statistics which indicate that in the present day there is a considerable increase in such alcoholic criminal episodes. In this article discuss about main causes of alcoholism, drug addiction, international perspective of this problem, illicit drug trafficking and drug addicts and remedial measures.

 Abstract

Disorders of stress are very casual thing among the employees who are working in corporate sectors. As with changing work of people and their living lifestyle, we can see the increment of stress in the working employees. Even many corporate sectors are providing variety of schemes related to mental health and trying to reduce the disorders of stress in the working environment, the disorder is very far from stopping. In our paper, we are going to make use of two techniques of machines to determine the amount of stress the employee is having who is working in corporate sectors and try to narrow down the issues that identify the stress levels. We are going to apply two techniques of machine learning (i.e. SVM and Random Forest) when the data preprocessing and the cleaning of data is once finished.

 Abstract

Background: Pharmacogenomics, the study of how genetic variations influence an individual's response to pharmacological treatments, has garnered significant attention for its potential to personalize medicine and optimize treatment outcomes. While pharmacogenetics focuses on predicting drug response based on genetic traits, pharmacogenomics takes a broader approach, encompassing the study of genetic variations across multiple genes or entire genomes. This review examines the evolution of pharmacogenomics and its applications in clinical practice, exploring advancements in sequencing technologies, customized pharmacogenomic panels, and the clinical implementation of pharmacogenomics. Additionally, it discusses the challenges and opportunities in translating pharmacogenomic research into routine clinical care. Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted to identify key developments and trends in pharmacogenomics research and clinical practice. PubMed, Google Scholar, and relevant scientific databases were searched using keywords such as "pharmacogenomics," "personalized medicine," "clinical implementation," and "genomic testing." Studies, reviews, and guidelines published in peer-reviewed journals were included, focusing on advancements in sequencing technologies, the development of customized pharmacogenomic panels, and strategies for integrating pharmacogenomic testing into routine clinical workflows. Results: Pharmacogenomics offers valuable insights into predicting drug response, optimizing therapy, and minimizing adverse drug reactions. Studies have identified actionable germline and somatic biomarkers associated with drug efficacy and toxicity. However, challenges remain in integrating pharmacogenomic testing into clinical workflows, including regulatory hurdles, infrastructure limitations, and the need for enhanced genomic literacy among healthcare professionals. Despite these challenges, pharmacogenomics holds immense promise for personalized medicine. By leveraging genetic insights, clinicians can tailor pharmacotherapy to individual patients, improving treatment efficacy and safety. Conclusion: Continued research and collaboration are essential to overcome barriers and realize the full potential of pharmacogenomics in optimizing patient care. Despite challenges, pharmacogenomics holds immense promise for personalized medicine. By leveraging genetic insights, clinicians can tailor pharmacotherapy to individual patients, improving treatment efficacy and safety. The integration of pharmacogenomic testing into routine clinical care has the potential to revolutionize healthcare delivery, paving the way for a more precise and personalized approach to medicine.

 Abstract

Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of Medicine, science of life, emphasizes on maintenance of positive health in healthy individuals and alleviation of ailments of diseased one. Acharya Charaka has explained various features of prashashta purusha which is one among the features of healthy individual. Deviation from the features is considered as the nindita pursha i.e forbidden people in the society. Atisthoulya being one among the ashta nindita, is characterized by medomamsa vriddhi, chala sphik, chala udara, chala sthana and ayatopachayaotsaha. In order to cure the disease of the diseased one, it is very crucial to understand the stage of disease. Upadrava is the secondary change produced in a disease, indicates the progress of the disease condition. Ignorance of them in the treatment can further harm the patient. Atisthoulya being a difficult one to manage compared to karshya depicts upadrava like prameha pidaka, vatavikara, kushta, visarpa, meha, kamala, etc. which have been mentioned by our acharyas. In contemporary science the complications of obesity are type II diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, diabetic complications, stroke, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, cirrhosis, exertional dyspnea, sleep apnea, respiratory failure, osteoarthritis, varicose veins etc. Thus, an attempt has been done to understand the occurrence of Upadrava in Atisthoulya conditions for which observational study was carried out among 100 patients and data was collected. Result: Among the 14 Upadrava of Atisthoulya mentioned in the Ayurveda classics, 11 were present in the subjects, of which Dhatukshayajanya vatavyadhi being the most prevalent one and Jwara being the least prevalent one.

 Abstract

Gaming has been around since the 1970s, it is considered a creative work under copyright laws and is protected under various forms of copyright protection. It has taken a prominent stance in today's world regarding entertainment for all ages. It is also a billion-dollar industry, a lot of creativity, labour, and skill is involved in creating a game, and the profits reaped after the game gains popularity makes it a highly lucrative field of entertainment. This study would provide a thorough insight into the history and evolution of Copyright laws in the gaming industry. This Paper examines the different forms of protection provided under Copyright law worldwide, including the game's assets like the artwork, characters, sounds, mods, user-generated modifications, and the game software or code. Just like any other creative work, infringement occurs frequently in the gaming industry, including Asset theft, Game piracy, ROM Hacking, music copyright infringement, Streaming or video content without obtaining necessary permissions, fan-made games, and Game cloning. This Paper focuses on infringement of copyright protection and exceptions like the fair use doctrine and licensing agreements, which would protect the users from infringement cases. It also analyses solutions like Digital Rights Management (DRM), which helps the creator protect his creation from infringement, and Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedowns in the United States, which deals with removing infringing content. The Paper reflects on the international laws governing copyright in the gaming industry and the challenges faced to regulate the same. There needs to be more jurisprudence in gaming laws in India, as the industry was not given a lot of prominence. Still, it has seen a tremendous rise in the past few years and needs changes and modifications in the laws safeguarding copyright ownership in the gaming industry.

 Abstract

Sludge refers to the residual, semi-solid material left from industrial wastewater, or sewage treatment process. It is an unavoidable byproduct of wastewater treatment which creates problems in disposal. Increasingly, strict environmental control regulations have resulted in limitations on the disposal of sludge. The organic elements of sludge are decomposed with time but the inorganic elements can't be de-composed with time and also affects the properties of soil and improves its fertility. Fly ash is a fine particulate material generated by the disintegration of bitumen materials and coal in power plants. The utilization of Fly ash in cement concrete as partial replacement of cement is gaining importance day by day. In this research, the sludge is collected from the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and the Fly ash is collected from the Thermal Power Plant (TPT). In this study we utilized fly ash and wastewater sludge is replaced by 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% by the weight of fine aggregate and the weight of cement, and conduct the compressive test of concrete to find out the compressive strength. The water cement ratio of 0.55 and 0.45 for M25 and M30 grades respectively.
