 Abstract

The study area is towards the southern boundary of this plateau near the dawki fault. The area includes mainly cherrapunjee and shella, ishamati region. The aim of the study is to establish a relation between lithology, drainage pattern, different present structural elements, elevation, slope and landuse - land cover pattern of the area. First of all the boundary of the study area is defined. Then elevation, slope, drainage pattern, lithology and landuse landcover maps are prepared. In this study SRTM DEM, LANDSAT imagery and geological and mineral map by geological survey of India are used. Here Qgis 2.2, ArcGIS 9.3, USGS earth explorer, EARDAS imagine version 9.1 are used. Since the study area is situated near the international border, it was difficult to collect a toposheet of this area. So, google earth is taken as a base for this study. Surrounding the central highest flat portion a radial drainage pattern is seen here. Some eastward movement of rivers towards south and some rectangular pattern indicates the presence of dawki fault and its dextral movement. From landuse landcover map it is seen that most places of the study area are covered by forest. Most of the forests are in highly slopy areas. The central flat highland is mostly builtup area and most of the degraded forests are there due to human activity. The low slope angle in this area makes more comfortable for living. So in this flat portion no forest cover is seen. Some builtup areas are seen towards the southern boundary of the study area near the rivers where slope angle is very low along with elevation which make soils of this area fertile. So here most of the lands are dominated by agriculture.

 Abstract

Customer relationship management is a broad concept for creating, retaining and expanding customer relationships in banking sector. CRM is not just a single application that will solve all customer related problems in an organization. Rather, CRM is almost a state of mind. Within an organization in which three key functional areas of the organization are integrated. These areas are sales, marketing and customer service. The market became much clearer for customer because of new media. The results are an increasing pressure of competition and demanding customer. Therefore a binding and long-term customer relationship seems to be necessary in banking sector. In modern era, the ability to maximize customer reliability, consistency and durable relationships is critical in banking sector. It is said that CRM is not a product or service; it is an overall business strategy that enables organization to effectively manage relationship with their customers. CRM is the business strategy that aims to understand, anticipate, manage and personalize the needs of customers. The idea of CRM is that it helps businesses use technology and human resources gain insight into the behavior of customers and the value of those customers. Today in banking sector customers are more value oriented in their services because they have alternative choices in it. CRM goes beyond the transactional exchange. Customer can be provided with products and services effective relationship. The study is primarily to understand the contribution of CRM in banking sector.

 Abstract

: In machining operation, the quality of surface finish is very important factor for many machined pieces. Thus to assure better surface finish, optimize the cutting parameter is very important. The main objective of this paper is to suppress the vibration in lathe tool by using different damping particles in tool post. The principle of particle impact damping is the removal of vibratory energy through losses in the form of thermal energy that occur during the impact of particles with each other and with walls. The selected damping particles like stainless steel (S.S), Mild steel (M.S), Copper(Cu), are experimented with various cutting parameters. The cutting tool vibrations are mostly influenced by cutting parameters like depth of cut, cutting speed and feed rate. In this study, lathe tool vibrations are suppressed by with and without damping particle in tool post. In this experiment vibrations are measured indirectly by using lathe tool dynamometer and surface roughness. To increase buoyancy level, Taguchi L9 experiment was conducted to find out the optimized parameter and variances from closer value. Analysis result of the experiment shows that particle impact damping(PID) have effectively improve the surface finish and decrease the tool vibration.

 Abstract

To ensure the efficient facsimileing work in examination wing at various education institution. In most of the Educational Institution, the common problem identified in the examination wing is to facsimileing the Principle signature, College address in bulk numbers on various document like hall tickets, University answer booklets and etc, which is very important and calculative. Currently this process has been done manually, which causes reverse facsimile, misplacement of facsimile and more time required to complete. In order to overcome this issue, we presenting this project which includes structure of xy plotter for fixing position of the head and controlled by a joystick. The head contains the mechanism for stamping the facsimile

 Abstract

Infrastructure is a major sector that propels overall development of Indian economy. The foundation is very important for any structure and it must be strong enough to support this entire structure. For foundation to be strong the soil around it plays a very important role. Expansive soils like black cotton soil always create problems in foundations. The problems are swelling shrinkage and unequal settlement. Plastic wastes have become one of the major problems of the world. Use of plastic bags, bottles and other plastic products is exponentially increasing year by year. Due to which we are facing various environmental problems. A review project is presented here to focus on soil stabilization by using waste plastic products. The tests such as liquid limit, plastic limit, standard proctor compaction test, California bearing ratio (CBR) test and unconfined compressive strength (UCS) have been conducted to check the improvement in the properties of black cotton soil.

 Abstract

Bone density defined as an amount of mineral present in bone. Osteoporosis is a silent process in which loss of bone density occurs. Early diagnosis of osteoporosis is very important to prevent fracture risk of small injury such as fall. Osteoporosis usually diagnosed by measuring bone mineral density. Conventionally DEXA machine is derived as a golden standard method for detection of osteoporosis. This paper reviews different techniques which are developed or in developing stage to diagnose osteoporosis.

 Abstract

The Smart Street light is a computerized framework which robotizes the light in road. The primary point of this model is to decrease the power utilization when there are no vehicle developments out and about. The thought is to turn in the city lights just when there are vehicles out and about, generally the lights will be turned OFF. With the progression of innovation, step by step things are getting to be more straightforward and less demanding for everybody on the planet today. In the present extent of industrialization, robotization is a stage past motorization, while automation furnished human administrators with hardware to help the clients with the solid necessities of work, computerization extraordinarily diminishes the requirement for human contributions as tangible and other mental prerequisites too. Mechanization assumes an undeniably imperative part on the planet economy and in day by day encounter. Programmed frameworks are being favored over manual framework. This examination paper demonstrates programmed control of streetlights because of which control is spared to a degree. The Smart road light gives an answer for vitality sparing this is accomplished by detecting a moving toward vehicle utilizing the IR sensors and after that exchanging ON a square of road lights in front of the vehicle. As the vehicle cruises by, the trailing lights turn OFF consequently. The energy saved by this process may also be used to provide electricity to other rural areas in its surroundings.
