 Abstract

In the past five years` Indian economy had witnessed a tremendous change with the introduction of `Digital India` and increase in the use of digital economy post demonetization. Post Aadhar and privacy judgement (K.S. Puttaswamy and Anr Versus Union of India, 2017) in India, there was a need for the regularisation and a legal framework for data protection and its related aspects. It was in this context, that Justice B.N.Srikrishna Committee was set up to look into the issue of data privacy and protection. Based on the recommendations, the Parliament came out with the draft Personal Data Protection Bill,2018 on July 27, 2018. The bill came only a few weeks after the General Data Protection Act, 2018 enacted by European Union came into force. Given the fact that the scenarios and the history behind the enactment of both laws were different, there are similarities and dissimilarities. The paper will focus specifically on the aspect of data localisation and data portability with respect to both the laws. Keeping the two in mind, it will study whether the proposed legislation in India is disguised in nature with reference to the sovereign`s ultimate right over the data. It will also critically analyse GDPR`s stand on data localisation and its conflict with its member countries like Germany, France and Bulgaria.

Trees were found the highest source of food and represented by 25 species followed by herbs (14 species), climbers (7 species) shrubs (3 species). Based on their edibility 17 plants species are being commonly used as fruit, 14 serve as vegetables, 6 species are used to make pickle, 3 species acts as flavouring agents (spices), 3 species are used to make special seasonal drinks, 2 species are used to make flavouring chaat and 2 species are used to make sweet while other three are used to make chutney. The area is rich in wild edible plant diversity and being threatened by the over exploitation by the local inhabitants. Thus, there is an urgent to conserve and manage these plant resources in their natural habitats by awaring the local peoples by training programmes and other activities.  Abstract

With the improvement of new innovations, the quantity of studies that attempt to assess customer conduct towards the utilization of health and hygiene applications has expanded. The point of this examination is to play out a methodical survey of the writing on the expectation to utilize versatile (applications) identified with the field of wellness and physical movement by buyers. This efficient survey is a basic assessment of the outcome from quantitative examinations in the field of appraisal of purchaser conduct towards health and hygiene applications. A sum of 13 examinations is dissected that propose models for assessing the aims to utilize wellness applications by sport buyers. The outcomes uncovered a few key ends: (a) Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is the most generally utilized model; (b) The connection between saw utility and future expectations is the most analyzed; and (c) The most assessed applications are diet/wellness. These discoveries could help innovation directors to know the most significant key components to consider in the improvement of future applications in sport associations

 Abstract

In the present experiment the hybrid Napier foliage was chopped and used for silage making. It was treated with urea + molasses with treatment level 0%, 0.5% and 1.0 % on the basis of fresh weight of the material. Chemical composition of silages made from hybrid Napier foliages treated with urea and molasses table 1. indicated that the protein content in the control silages sample was 9.43 % which is increased to 11.25 % in the silage enriched with 0.5% urea+ molasses and 11.98 in 1% urea + molasses enriched silage. Urea supplementation as a cheap source of NPN is suggested to meet an animal protein requirement particularly during scarcity. Other nutrients did not show any changes.

 Abstract

Despite the growing number of older people, less attention is given to their quality of life (QOL) in developing countries, this study aimed to assess the QOL and identify associated factors among older people in rural Karnataka. India is going through a phase of demographic transition progressing to population aging. Poor health-related quality of life (QOL) among the elderly is often associated with physical deterioration, psychological trauma, and mental weakness. The rise in the social and health requirements of older adults has to be addressed optimally and comprehensively. India is going through a phase of demographic transition progressing to population aging. Poor health-related QOL among the elderly is often associated with physical deterioration, psychological trauma, and mental weakness. The increase in life expectancy among the elderly is because of demographic transition in developing countries. In 2011, India had an 8.6% elderly population and was estimated to be 11.6% by 2026. The elderly population increases, heath demands, along with other social requirements, are also set to increase. It is evident from the studies that physical deterioration, psychological trauma, and mental weakness are associated with aging. In India, the social security system for the elderly is not as well equipped as in developed countries. Globally, an urban population often faces mounting pressure on various socioeconomic fronts such as health-care expenditures and fiscal disciplines, which can impact the life of the elderly population.

 Abstract

The paper identifies common forms of cyber-crimes against women, such as cyber stalking ,cyber pornography, circulating images / video clips of women engaged in intimate acts, morphing, sending obscene / defamatory / annoying messages, online trolling / bullying / black mailing threat or intimidation, and email spoofing and impersonation. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkeIn, Youtube, whatsApp and Snap chat are some of the more popular social networking sites in India. This phenomenon is closely linked to the increasing incidence of cyber abuse against women. In may 2016,the Union minister for women and child Development, Ms.Maneka Gandi observed that the online abuse of women in India ought to be treated in the same manner as violence against women in the world. The paper identifies common forms of cyber abuse against women and analyses the provisions of the IPC are relevant to cyber abuse against women via legislative amendments and judicial interpretations. The Information Technology Act covers majorly commercial and economic crimes but there are no specific provisions to cover cyber abuse against women.

 Abstract

Offline and Online Learning helps people to be educated and become productive members of society. The current work was focused on the intention of the students to use online platforms. To analyze this one survey was conducted where the major population involved were students belonging to higher secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate. A total of 351 participants responded to the survey and the results were precise and promising. The study was focused on the effectiveness like convenience, flexibility, freedom of usage, skills and technical enhancement, and barriers like administrative issues and lack of interaction/motivation of the online learning platforms that affect the intention of the students of using online platforms. The results of the survey were analyzed using the PLS-SEM technique using SMART PLS 2 software. The results revealed that there are some technical loopholes in the online learning platforms. The limitations and the barriers of online learning can hinder this study and can be considered for future research.
