ABSTRACT: The objective of this research was to increase the independence and safety of the sight impaired by developing an enhanced travel aid in the form of a sensor embedded long cane to reduce the risk of injury from walking into suspended or overhanging objects while providing the sight impaired community with a familiar and well accepted tool. Prior research at the Electromechanical Systems Laboratory had established a theoretical framework for ultrasound-based ranging and spatial obstacle localization from the moving reference frame of a long-cane. A prototype was implemented using analog threshold detection techniques. This research focused on a new approach. A coded pulse was transmitted and correlation techniques were used to identify echoes and determine time of flight. Compared to the prior effort this new approach was more sensitive, had greater noise immunity, and provide greater spatial resolution for obstacle detection. The first step in the coded pulse approach was to generate a transmit pulse with an embedded binary code that is highly distinguishable. A transmit pulse generated by phase modulating a 40 kHz carrier signal with a 13-bit Barker code word, with each bit consisting of 4 cycles of the 40 kHz carrier was used. Digitized representative echoes were used as reference vectors for correlation to account for the effect of the impulse responses of the transducers, the air, and the reflection, on the transmitted pulse. In a detection cycle, the coded pulse was transmitted; the A/D converters took 2600 samples at the 150 kHz sampling rate to capture any echoes from objects between 1 and 4 meters in front of the cane. The receiver data was cross-correlated with the stored echo image to find echoes in the received signal. The correlation peak positions from the upper receiver were then compared to the peak positions from the lower receiver and if they collaborated within the synthetic aperture, the range and height were calculated annunciation was made by a synthesized voice. The new obstacle detection system described above was designed and a prototype was constructed and embedded into the shaft of an 18 mm diameter body of a long cane. Introduction

Abstract This paper presents a modelling method of photovoltaic systems (SPR305E-WHT) and an implementation and comparison of three MPPT techniques ,fuzzy logic control, incremental conductance ,perturb observe method for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm. The method is used to study the influence of rapidly changing irradiance level concerning performance of 10KW photovoltaic systems. A simple circuit model of the boost converter connected to the photovoltaic systems is used to easily simulate the incremental conductance MPPT method. The model has been implemented in MATLAB / Simulink 2013 . The simulation results are presented and analysed to validate that the proposed simulation model is effective for MPPT control of the photovoltaic systems at rapidly changing irradiation condition.

Abstract-In this paper, the realization of the energy management and control subsystem of a grid-connected wind/solar hybrid power system has been introduced. The hybrid power system is based on multi-agents theory, so the control subsystem is regarded as an agent. It is composed of programmable logic controller (PLC), human-machine interface (HMI), grid-connected control module, AC multi-function electric power meters, DC electric power meters, RS485/TCP converter etc., to control and manage the operation of multi-source, such as power grid, wind turbine generation, solar photovoltaic, storage batteries and loads, also to acquire data and communicate with others. In this paper we put the emphases on its hardware, communication and how to meet its requests and functions. Experiments show that this system is competent for both grid-connected mode and stand-alone mode.

Abstract Wind energy has gained an increasing worldwide interest due to the continuous increase in fuel cost and the need to have a clean source of energy. The main objective of most of the wind energy systems is to extract the maximum power available in the wind stream. In order to achieve maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for wind power generation systems, the rotating speed of wind turbines should be adjusted in the real time according to wind speeds. In this paper, we will be focusing on some of the revolutionary changes that took place in the control scheme of wind energy which has got enough potential to meet the energy requirements of the world in the present scenario. When we are deficit of the natural resources like coal, water etc. Thus presently it serves as the most reliable source of energy for our future generations.

Abstract: After generating electricity, energy transfer in electrical engineering is an important problem. The failure of the transmission lines is normal and there is a major problem in this flow. This document presents a technique for detecting the location of various errors on a transmission line for faster and reliable operation of security schemes. Simulation MATLAB is developed to generate the basic component of transmission voltage and current. The MATLAB software simulates the high voltage transmission line, namely fault error, line- line error, double line to ground, and three different conditions of operation and error. Effects of failure resistance (Rf), failure to isolate (LF) mass variations in large volumes, current, and non-proportion of system, detection, rating, and error space mass for its relationship of logic Studied.

Energy is the primary need for survival of all organisms in the universe. Everything what happens in the surrounding is the expression of flow of energy in one of the forms. But in this fast moving world, population is increasing day by day and the conventional energy sources are lessening. The extensive usage of energy has resulted in an energy crisis over the few years. Therefore to overcome this problem we need to implement the techniques of optimal utilization of conventional sources for conservation of energy. My paper includes how to utilize the energy which is wasted when the vehicles passes over a speed breaker. Lots of energy is generated when vehicle passes over it. We can tap the energy generated and produce power by using the speed breaker as power generating unit. The kinetic energy of the moving vehicles can be converted into mechanical energy of the shaft through rack and pinion mechanism. Then, this mechanical energy will be converted to electrical energy using generator which will be saved with the use of a battery. The energy we save during the day light can be used in the night time for lighting street lights. Therefore, by using this arrangement we can save lot of energy which can be used for the fulfillment of future demands

Abstract We are born to communicate, to join, to connect, to share, to associate and above all to acquisition the facts, figures and relevant information on which our entire inquisitiveness is inclined upon. Precise knowledge about the past and current data is the chief reservoir of what we call as awareness. Digital currency is a payment method which exists only in electronic form and is not tangible. It allows the borderless transfer of ownership as well as instantaneous transactions. It is also referred to as digital money or cyber cash. Digital currency currently has a limited user base and the regulatory framework as well as tax treatment. It is still evolving and cannot by pass banks or clearing houses. Digital currencies are not accepted by the banks and thus companies cannot earn interest on it. The infrastructures required to support the broader use of it is still being developed

ABSTRACT There are so many diseases which are affecting human lives and it is required to detect the disease in the initial stage which can help in reducing mortality in all over the world. These days we have technology that can easily process bulk of data all together and we can get results very quickly. Among all the dangerous diseases we have seen that Cancer is the most common among people and taking lives of millions of people globally. With the help of various Data Mining algorithms we are able to predict any disease in the wink of an eye. This technology can help in medical field by predicting any disease in its early stage. Under Data Mining there are various approaches i.e. Association Rule Mining, Regression, Classification, Clustering and Anomaly Detection. Algorithms that are applied on the data sets are Support Vector Machine, Decision Tree, Artificial Neural Network, K-Nearest Neighbour etc. The process which data mining follows is known as knowledge discovery in database and it comprises five stages i.e. Selection, Processing, Transformation, data mining and Evaluation. The motive is to use any of the algorithms which can help the researchers and doctors to know about the disease in the starting stage so that the patient can get the best treatment and can get rid of the disease quickly
